Jessica is great at threading. I bring my girl friend here all the time and she loves her work. She leaves feeling confident and happy as could be. Whether it's to thread her eyebrows, get her eyebrows tinted, or an eye lash lift for a Friday night. Happy girl friend, happy life. Once in a while I'm waiting on her to get threaded I'll get a quick fix facial and an occasional threading to line up my beard for the weekend, leaves my line-up super crisp. I have recently moved down south from Kendall and was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded. Her prices are good but like another review said, she does lack professionalism. She came in to the shop and didn't tell me her name or bother to ask for mine or even say good afternoon/welcome. I sat in the chair and when she started she asked me if I had done threading before and I said once. She started and wasn't the most gentle. She got a call in the middle of threading and she answered it. It's just good manners to give your full attention to a customer. I moved here from NY/NJ and eyebrows are the thing. I have not been able to find 1 person in 4 years that can make me feel good about my brows. After mistake and mistake I was told to let them just grow in and we can fix them. Well looking like an eyebrow comb over months later I couldn't take it any more and I stopped in to mybrow and told Jessica " just take them OFF!" She made me feel human again. The young woman who owns and runs the business, Jessica could use a few lessons in professionalism. Her skills are fair but she has poor mannerisms, giving a less than desirable experience. Pros: The location is convenient for those in the south Miami area. It is located in a new built shopping center. Cons: While age isn't always a factor when determining ones maturity level, it's sadly evident within this business. The owner is about 21 years of age I would say. Unless you are a high school acquaintance she is very hasty, short and unwelcoming while doing your brows. She didn't even comb out my brows before threading and cutting them! She simply used her finger to smudge them out..unacceptable! (Needless to say, my eyebrows look a bloody mess) She gazed out of the window, gave no sincerity in her services, and does not ask the client how they feel about the results to ensure costumer satisfaction. I have visited the salon a number of times. She is on her phone several times in the middle of service, does not communicate very well, and overall lacks the maturity to run a successful business. Very rushed, although no one else was in the shop. Thinned my eyebrows too much, but then colored them in with powder. She put dark powder on my brows and a highlighter under the arch. I didn't appreciate that she colored them in without asking whether I wanted that. My eyebrows definitely looked great once she was through, but it was due to the added makeup. Her lack of skill was evident once I washed my face (much thinner than I expected, so I'll be waiting for centuries for them to grow back). The purpose of getting my eyebrows threaded is so they have a natural clean arch that I don't have to spend all that additional time in the morning reshaping them w/makeup. Also, I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and I'm usually offered some form of astringent after the process (not here, probably because of the added makeup).
