Just spoke with Myers and guy said he would Not refund my money and did not care about reviews! There you have it! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!! MEYERS sold me a manual transmission for $500 and it worked for ONE day! They gave me the run around for two weeks and now will not take my calls! The folks were very busy, yet helpful and pleasant. With just a phone call, they pulled the bumper I requested and (unexpectedly) called me back to let me know it was ready for pick up. No credit card, no driver's license number, no name and address, just a phone number. While I was paying for it, they loaded in the back of my truck - without me having to ask. Buyer Beware!! We bought a transmission. Installed it and it wasnt good. We called them fro an exchange ar refund. They said oh you must install a new valve body and have it programmed and then if it doesnt work they would warranty it. We had to special order a valve body, it took a couple of months to get it in and programmed. Guess what .... Tranny was still bad. We called and was told we needed to talk to Tanner. After leaving several messages for 2 months they finally gave us the owners cell. The Owner said that its no longer in warranty after knowing the whole situation. Took my transmission too them thinking they would be knowing what they were doing,but turns out i got a 7 months drive out of my transmission was having issues 2 month after the transmission was placed back in my vehicle kept telling my trans fault it would come on and go off thinking it might be the computer programming to the vehicle but turns out whole time the transmission was messing its self up but it was no sign of anything being wrong it was running perfectly find until the 6 month of the warranty when i put it in Reverse it was making a knocking sound i was thinking it was something else but it did it again but it sill drove perfectly fine until the 7 month of me driving it i was driving on the highway and it just make this loud knock noise and I parked it at a nearby gas station and turned it off turned it back on it wouldn't reverse only would go forward and O/D . Called them explained to them that I know I was out of warranty they said the couldn't even find my receipt so moral of the story DONT GO TO THEM YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! read more

If you wonder why Meyers Auto Salvage has such a low rating, just do business with Phillip Meyers and find out for yourself. I called him personally and asked him about buying my Ford Focus and told him that the transmission was no good and we weren't going to replace it again for the 4th time. I gave him the mileage, and equipment and told him the tires were less than 6 months old then he said he would give me $450 to $500 for the car. I asked him what would he need to have to make me a commitment of $500 and he said that he wanted pictures of the body to verify that there was no body damage. I explained that I was 80 miles from where the shop was that had the car but I would go there, take the pictures, and deliver the title to the shop owner if that is what it would take to get the $500. As agreed, I did drive to the shop that evening, sent Phillip the pics, and got no response from him until the next morning I receive a text that his driver was en route to pick up the car but he would only give $400. I was in a pinch to have the vehicle removed from the shop's parking lot as space was limited. I already told the shop owner that the car would be removed before lunch, so I agreed to the $400. I just want you to know that if you get a good-faith number from Phillip to purchase your vehicle, do not trust him. I agreed to the $400 if he would purchase the car for cash as I would not trust that his check or promise to pay would be honored just like his word should not be honored. I only hope that my experience will help others when making a decision to do business with a company whose owner is so dishonorable. read more

These guys are crooks. I paid 700 for an engine that was promised to be a good motor. Upon starting the motor has a knock in the bottom end. These guys called me a liar and said I ran the engine with no oil in it. Witch is ridiculous. They told me they aren't going to do anything for me. So basically I'm stuck with a knocking motor for 700 bucks. I will never do business with these criminals again. They even told me it was a starter issue. Witch is crazy because I have a brand new starter and flywheel. these guys are crooks. Please don't do business with them. They will take advantage of you. read more

Never have I been so pissed off at a business! I called and asked about used batteries, he gave me a price so I took off from business and arrived there at 4:13PM. Just as I arrived two seedy guys were rolling the gates shut. I drove right up and asked if I could be possibly get in to buy the battery. They asked if I had an appointment????? The guy on the phone never said anything about an appointment. One guy was a real jerk - yelled at me "READ THE SIGN!" The big one there said they were open to 5PM. I don't know what sign he was referring to - there were about 6 all over the place. Real bunch of jerks! So if you want to take time off work, drive all the way there to get an item, have the gates shut you off before the posted end of business - have at it! I have bought some parts there in the past but never again! Customer service? They have no concern at all for the customers. Real a** holes!!! read more

I purchased a used engine from Myers a while back. I had a mechanic try to install the engine, but he couldn't get it to work. I thought maybe someone else could get it to work, so I took it to a second mechanic (a guy that the folks at Myers know well). He said no luck.....the engine was locked up. Of course, the engine was no longer under warranty by this time, so I was out of luck. I did try a good mechanic I knew for a final opinion. He confirmed that the engine was locked up. Frustrating since I had paid Myers $950 for the engine. When I contacted them just to see if they would do anything, the guys in the shop were very friendly and tried to help but said it would be up to Josh, the owner. They gave me his number and I called twice. He never did return my call. I tried an option on the voice mail saying text the info over and I did so. I was possibly hoping for a suggestion as to reselling the engine at a discount or maybe Myers buying our Mercury Mariner and the engine at a decent price. I got a message back saying they'd give me $250 for the car AND the engine! What a joke! I had paid $950 to them for the engine and the car's interior and exterior were in great condition. I finally gave up and sold the car myself for $600 a couple days later. The engine was a total loss. Lesson is: be careful if you buy an engine from Myers. Make sure you get it checked thoroughly right away or you will most likely be out of luck. read more

I found a great price and purchased a part from them that carried a warranty. Within a few days when I contacted them and informed them the part was no good, the salesperson advised I could return it and get my refund since they did not have a replacement. Several days later I went to return the part and they refused to give me the promised refund. They claimed the part had been installed incorrectly even though I followed the manufacturer service replacement instructions exactly. I spoke with Josh, who identified himself as the owner. He was rude and unprofessional. He talked down to me, hung up on me once. I called back and he became even more belligerent, refused to honor the warranty not would provide a refund. And hung up on me again! This is no way to treat a customer. If the owner demonstrates such disregard for his customers and unprofessionalism, I can only imagine how the rest of the staff has been trained. I am out the several hundred dollars I spent there and they won't even treat me with decency. These days the only recourse a consumer has is to share their experience with the larger community. I went for the best price and failed to consider the saying "you get what you pay for." Buyer beware. I would rather go with a larger company next time such as S&W or Gray & White, pay a little more and not be out all this money where they treat you with respect and stand behind their part. read more
