My daughter is a bit of a princess, and she was terrified to pull her über loose tooth out. The thing was dying to come out for the better part of a month, but she refused to let anyone pull it out. One night at dinner she bit into her sandwich and her tooth became even looser and was literally hanging by a tiny thread. Finally realizing she had to get this thing out to continue her life, she agrees to allow a dentist to pull it out. Being a 'weekend dad' with a very difficult and unfortunate 'co-parenting' situation, her mother was uncooperative in furnishing me with the information I needed for insurance or the contact information of her normal dentist. I called Dental One and explained the situation to them and they were extremely accommodating to my situation and they were able to see her that same day. When we arrived at the office, my daughter was extremely nervous, and in tears for the few moments we were in the waiting room. All of the sudden, we hear a kind female voice call for 'Ms. Averie Mechanic' which immediately put us at ease. 'Hi, there! I am Ms. Jess' she said with a warm smile as she took Avie's hand and led her to the back. In the 30 seconds it took to walk to the chair, Ms. Jess had established rapport based on the fact that they were both princesses. She was brilliant at what she does. Dr. Shabnam Mazhari then came to the rescue! With an equally warm and accommodating bedside manner, she had the tooth out before Avie could even tell her about how she and Jess were both princesses. At the end of the day, they're all princesses. The entire staff there was amazing, front to back, top to bottom. I would recommend this practice to anyone, in a heart beat.

I've been a patient there for many years and was very upset with the new appointment system. The…read morelast 2 times I was there in the past few weeks, I had appointments and wasn't told at sign in that they were running behind. Both of my appointments were started 30 min later than the actual appt. I was there 2 weeks ago and was supposed to have 2 procedures back to back and had to take off work and b/c of them running behind, only received 1 service and had to take off work again to come back and was sitting in the waiting room 30 min past my appt. time, VERY UPSET!!!!!!!!! The dental staff told me there is a new office system to try and get everyone in but there should'nt be a patient not taken on time or close to it so that others are then pushed back after they take off work. Everyone's time is just as valuable as the next person. I love the dental team but just wish whoever is doing these new appointments would go back to the old way of making the patients happy and on time for their next part of the day.

Given my trigeminal neuralgia pain on the left side of my face, this procedure was selected for the lack of needle/numbing and to limit further pain to my gums/face, in order to remove the early onset decay to the right side of my lower choppers. To be honest, I did not trust this procedure as I had not heard of it and I was skeptical because this was my first time with Dr Kuhn (I normally see Dr Gallagher). By the way, even though Dr Gallagher did not perform the procedure, he found the time to stop by and say hello. The staff is as always, very professional, extremely personable and the dentists are very knowledgeable and very competent. Appointment made for 1pm and would hope to be in dentist chair by 2 but once I got in the back we were well taken care of. According to their office staff, if you need to cancel an appointment you need to give 24 hours notice. Part of my household came down with covid. We found out on a Friday and we had an appointment at Gallagher's on Monday. I called on Friday, they close early on Friday, I left a message, I have a copy of the message. I have the covid tests for proof. I was charged 240.00 dollars for the appointment. I wrote a letter with documentation. Have been sent, at least, 6 bills. I will be paying but my family will be looking for other dentists. Super sad and in Carroll Magazine they say they are family oriented. :(

I also work in healthcare, with patients/children who have epilepsy and the day of my appointment I had a late emergency patient. I busted my butt to get my patient taken care of and to get from Towson to Westminster in time for my appointment, an appointment that THEY rescheduled originally because the hygienist was sick on the day of my original appointment. I called as I was getting off 795 onto 140 to say I was running 15 min late and explained why (child having seizures) and I was told no problem. A few seconds after I hung up they were calling back to ask if I could make it there in the next 2 min, of course the answer was no and I explained again about my patient who was actively seizing when they came into the hospital. I was then told that their policy is a 10 min window and if I couldn't be there in 2 min even after everything I did to get there (stabilizing my patient and fighting afternoon traffic) they would have to reschedule me, I'm sorry, I find that to be EXTREMELY BAD BUSINESS AND PATIENT CARE when you were with the practice as long as I was. I GUESS I SHOULD'VE LEFT THE CHILD SEIZING ON THE TABLE IN ORDER TO MAKE MY APPOINTMENT ON TIME. Loyalty means nothing to this practice, so just make sure you're on time.
