I have gone to many different locations to try to get my glasses fixed since the screw fell out. Every one that I went to would give me a loose screw and say be careful then it would usually fall out again that day and I was left to be blind. This location actually cared to help me and put a bolt with the screw so it would not fall out again. I have been coming to this particular location for many years. I enjoy not only the thoroughness of the eye exam, but also the variety of frames to pick from, and not limited to what they have in store. They are able to order other frames that are on their website. The people that are helping you with your glasses order are very helpful. In the past I had a female help me. She was very honest and helpful. The past time I came in, a gentleman by the name of John was assisting my husband and I with our glasses order. He was super helpful and very polite and efficient. He had told us that the glasses could take up to 2-3 weeks for processing because our insurance uses their own lab to put the glasses together. But I received notification that my glasses were ready for pick up exactly 2 weeks. When my husband and I went to pick up our glasses, another gentleman was helping us and I didn't catch his name, but he was very helpful and kind. He made sure that we were okay with adjustments to our glasses before we left. I had taken my glasses and went outside to see if my extra active transition was working and how fast. They worked pretty well and I am pleased. I always recommend my coworkers and friends to this location, only because I normally have a great experience since I only need to come yearly. If you want a place that takes their time to explain things to you and doesn't rush you, this is the place. read more

This is a reckless establishment. I had my eyes checked by two different doctors at two different my eye doctor stores. I finally had to go to a different store for a third exam for the correct prescription. The store sent me the wrong contact lens. After three months, five phone calls, I still wasn't able to get the correct contact lens. Every person I spoke to in the store, five different people, repeatedly assured me that I would receive my contact lens. It's been two months, and I still don't have my order. The store is completely unprofessional and unreliable. It's a shame that this medical establishment that is still in practice. read more

I ordered and paid for a pair of lens from there in July. They promised to have it in two weeks. After waiting a month for them, went into the store to see why they haven't arrived yet. The General Manager told me they are not there and couldn't give me an estimated arrival date. But she assured me that she will call me by 2:00pm the next day to update me on the status. I waited until 3:30 to call back to found out that she was "in a meeting". I left my name and number and requested a call back. She never did. This place Is the absolute worst location you could ever get any business done. I was literally given glasses with the frames super glued on my Promise date and never received a repaired set of glasses nor did they reach out to me at all to update me on my order. They told me to use these broken glasses in the meantime until my actual glasses got fixed which never happened and mind you this all began on December . Recently the entire office quit because Raffi is a trash manager and doesn't know how to run a business. I literally had to call corporate to get any traction done on my order and was still threatened to have the police called on me when I asked for an update? They couldn't get it right the first time or the second time and honestly you're better off at any other location but Mark my words. Raffi will screw you over. Probably most people who come here do so for new glasses and an eye exam. I came due to a medical issue with my eyes. When I went in the morning, the doctor seemed nice, and he wrote me several prescriptions for my eyes. I went straight to CVS to have them filled. CVS told me that one required Dr. approval, and one wasn't covered but that the Dr. could switch it to one that was. CVS then both sent the request to the Dr.'s office and called the office several times throughout the day. However, he never got back with them. I ended up having to pay the full amount of the prescriptions to get them filled. So, I lost well over $100 all because this doctor wouldn't bother to get back with CVS the entire day. CVS told me that one of the times they called, a female receptionist said the doctor was eating lunch. Well, I'm glad to know that his sandwich was far more important than my eyes. But how long does it take to eat a sandwich anyway? I'm saddened and disappointed by his actions, or lack thereof. I wish I could be writing a great review stating how much this place helped me today. But if I were to write that review, it would not be true. So instead, I'm writing the truthful one. Lab Errors, zero communication and blatant errors. Stay clear. I went in for an eye exam in early June, had an eye infection so the visit converted to a medical exam. That was ok. The Doctor there is excellent. He's personable, friendly, and courteous. The staff are very friendly... BUT... They have NO communication with the customers after placing orders. I didn't have a new prescription, I opted to get new lenses in my current glasses to replace the scratched up old ones. The rep who placed my order on June 10th assumed I wanted lenses for a pair of computer glasses I bought previously. I TOLD him I wanted new lenses for the glasses I was wearing, even handed them to him. He didn't measure them or anything. I left thinking I'd have new lenses in 7-10 business days as stated by the rep. 2 weeks later. No contact no text, no email from them... I call and am told the lenses came in 3 days ago... I'm upset about the lack of communication, but alright, I went back in. Once there I find out they ordered lenses for my computer glasses, NOT the ones I handed to the rep. I'm upset at this point. I ask him to place the order with a rush on the production AND the shipping to the store. He tells me he can't place the order, that the store manager Alex will have to. He says he'll get to it on Saturday which was 4 days later. I give it a week. No calls, no texts, no emails. IN this time I also emailed customer service. I STILL haven't heard from them and it's been 11 days. I've been told my new corrected lenses are IN, HOWEVER I have to leave my glasses with them as they have to go to the lab to have the lenses shaped to fit my glasses. I'm sorry What? Why did it take from June 10th until 07/31/19 to send a pair of lenses that have to be worked on at the local lab anyways!? No-one told me I'd have to leave my glasses they told me it'd take 10-20 minutes to put them together. This location has the worst communication skills and their lab is useless. Very disappointed- came for an exam and got new prescriptions for glasses and contacts. Chose a pair of glasses covered by my insurance but then Alex the manager assumed I wanted extra options on my glasses and did not ask about them. When I reviewed my receipt he said "he had just based it on my previous order" and thus sold me far more expensive glasses than I needed. When I complained and had him remove the additional options, my glasses went from $325 to $50. Every client should be asked what options they'd like rather than assuming the more expensive choice! read more

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! THEY DELETE BAD REVIEWS ON THIER FACEBOOK PAGE! The doctor is really nice. Thats about where it ends. The woman who helped us, didnt offer us contacts that were covered under our insurance. We are supposed to get 2 boxes for $25. We got 4 boxes (6 month supply) because it was explained to us that we would get a $75 rebate. So when we realized what happened, my wife called and asked why we didnt also get the 2 boxes for $25 (which is a discount through insurance) and only got 4 boxes that totaled over $200 out of pocket ($125 if you count rebate). The salesperson started making excuses about it, instead of just asking if we wanted to pay the $25 and get the extra two boxes, and eventually my wife got frustrated and wanted a refund. The salesperson started being defensive and laughing and stated no refunds, and then hung up on my wife when my wife got upset. I drove up to the store, and the salesperson started laughing upon seeing me. The manager eventually offered to refund everything, and the salesperson was still laughing about it, and making snide comments about my attitude. Im pretty sure I have a right to be pissed off that you hung up on my wife and then thought it was funny. I also reported them to their corporate office due to the behavior when I showed up at the office. Its a shame they dont care about how thier employees treat veterans and pregnant women. When we ordered the glasses, service was okay, but slow and the techs seemed uninterested. We had to ask for help once we had selected frames, even though the store was not very busy. We ordered the glasses with a 10 day expected delivery. After 10 days, we'd heard nothing, so called the store. Glasses had not yet arrived. On day 19, we called again only to be told that they sent a notice that the glasses were ready. That notice appeared not even 10 minutes after we called. Coincidence? I think not. We picked up the glasses the first day we could. The staff were RUDE and disinterested. They basically handed the glasses to us and that was it. We had to request a fitting to make sure they were correct. It didn't seem like either tech cared if we were satisfied or not. This happened one time before and I thought it was a fluke, but I just think customer service is bad at this store. We aren't happy and will not return to that location again. read more

Everyone here seems really friendly. Eye exam went off without a hitch. The problem always comes when paying. "Wow! You have great insurance!" Be warned, as most franchise optometrists these guys are built to extract as much from your insurance plan as possible. This makes it almost impossible to leave the store without them ripping you off or forcing you to buy glasses or contacts with your exam. Will not be visiting here again. read more

It has almost been three weeks since I have visited, and I still have no contacts in my possession. I will say that the only good thing about the Falls Church location is Dr. Patel. She was very professional and I felt comfortable with her. The issues lie within the employees themselves. At the Falls Church location, they ordered the completely wrong brand and prescription. I understand human error, so I then decided to go to the Arlington location (closer to home). I returned the wrong contacts 1.5 weeks ago. I get a call today from them today stating I never returned my old contacts (I verified that I had returned) and found that they yet again ordered the wrong prescription (I guess at least it was the right brand this time). So now I am stuck waiting another 5-7 business days, and the woman was extremely rude to me on the phone when I called back to clarify EVERYTHING was correct. Hopefully third time will be the charm, but I have wasted so much time on the phone and in their offices for something as simple as ORDERING CONTACTS. 1-800-Contacts will be my go to next time. read more

Kim was super helpful in making sure that I picked out something that matched what I was looking for, and taking the time as I tried on what seemed to be at least 15 pairs of glasses! I went to My Eye Doctor for a 2nd opinion (exam) since new glasses from another store were giving me BAD double vision. To my relief, their doctor found the problem and I've been wearing my new prescription ever since. They were always professional and very friendly and even offered to make new lens at no charge since the other place soaked me for $400 and wouldn't make it good. Love My Eye Doctor! This is a business-centric and not patient-centric office. I had a negative, negative experience here. I felt that Dr. Al-Sayyad rushed through my appt. He spent time chatting and telling me how there was not enough time as opposed to actually answering the question plainly and examining. I did not feel that he or manager Alex Martinez cared about the problems with my eyes and what that mean for future treatment. I was hesitant to go to MyEyeDr as I had a pretty miserable experience in the Clarendon location... However, I am very happy that I gave this location a shot. The customer service was excellent, not pushy like other places. The eye dr was thorough with the exam and answered all of my questions. The rest of the staff helped me work through my different insurance options to make sure that I was receiving the best deal. They have a great deal going on if you purchase a year supply of contacts so I walked out with a free pair of designer sunglasses in addition to a handful a benefits that I will surely take advantage of over the next year. I simply wanted to get new lenses (based on my updated prescription which I had just obtained from my ophthalmologist) inserted into my new eye glasses frame (which I had purchased previously). Therefore, all I needed to do was drop off the prescription for the lenses and the frames at My Eye Dr. and pick them up at a later date after My Eye Dr. had inserted the updated lenses into the frames. I called the phone number on Sunday, and no one returned my phone call. I drove to My Eye Dr./Idylwood Plaza/Falls Church on Monday. The ?Doctor? said he was working with another patient. I asked if they would answer my phone call, if I called them. He said, yes. I returned home and called My Eye Dr./Idylwod Plaza/Falls Church. No one answered my call. I drove back to My Eye Dr./Idylwood Plaza/Falls Church. I told the representative that I simply wanted to drop off my prescription for my lenses and my frames so that they could insert the lenses into the frames at their leisure. She said the ?Doctor? would be available in a few minutes. I said I would wait outside, just outside the door. After ~ 15-20 minutes, I went back into the store and told the ?Doctor? that I simply wanted to drop off my prescription and frames, and that the representative had told me that it would just be a few minutes. The ?Doctor? said that there was one more patient in front of me (in addition to the one he was currently waiting on). I won't be back. (Apparently, "due to the COVID crisis," they aren't able to answer the phone or provide a service to their customers.) read more

A 2-week turnaround time is just unacceptable. For the high price and meh quality I could just go to Warby Parker if I am willing to wait so long. SLOW. Do not bother with this. If I could put less than 1 star, I would. My experience with My EyeDr, especially at this location, was terrible. I ordered glasses for my daughter and was told it would be ready in less than 2 weeks. 3 weeks later, and there was no contact from the store about the glasses having come in. I called in and was told by the store that there was a problem with the lab, and it would take longer. If this was the case, why did the store not reach out and contact me first? I said this was fine, and decided to wait on until the day they said the glasses would arrive. That day came and I still had no word from the store. I decided to go in myself and inquire after my daughters glasses. I get to the store only to find out that over 3 weeks later they did not order my glasses because "my insurance rejected it". I'll get to that in a second, but if that was the case, again, why did they not call me to update me? Frustrated with the terrible customer service and the lack of communication I canceled the order and came home to call my insurance. I was told my the insurance company that they had only recently in the last week gotten the request from the store for my daughters glasses. Over 2.5 weeks later than I was told, they had decided to finally put in the order. That's not the thing I have a problem with. That easily could have been a mistake I could have overlooked if there had been GOOD or even ANY communication between the store and myself. If you all want quality care and service, this is not the place. read more

I am so frustrated with this place. I have been trying to get contacts for 4 months now, and I still don't have them. Went in for the exam, for the second time, as the first fitting did not fix my vision. Two months after the second fitting, I was given the run around. Can't find your record, your order is processing, and then they lost my order and today, after 4 months, I was told to come in for a third time for an exam. I don't think so. Once you add the upsell (charge for retinal photo, charge for this, charge for that), the vision exam is MORE EXPENSIVE than going to a real ophthalmologist. I regret that Dr. Larsen has associated himself with this chain. After the exam, I went through more upsell from the optician until I firmly separated myself and left. read more

I would recommend avoiding the Falls Church location and booking an appointment in Reston or Clarendon. This office told me that the Reston location had over prescribed me two years back and gave me a much weaker prescription. I trusted them and purchased contacts and after a few months of trying to get used to the new prescription, I am still very uncomfortable. I called for help and there's nothing that they can do that won't take up more of my time. I also asked them for pricing on glasses or to have prescription put into lenses that I already own and they have told me many different numbers and all of them were above and beyond just going to Lens Crafters or some other chain. Went in the room and she didn't even introduce her self, wasn't wearing a white coat. Thought she was another associate. I went in cause I had a stye.
