Decided to give it a try because everyone has different experiences. Overall, I would say that my family had a great experience with our eye exams, very thorough and efficient. I would rate the doctor as 5 star. The front desk people are not great and maybe I just also had bad luck with them. Our first time as a family here and found that I had to make call multiple times to get a call back, they do not respond to text message (though they direct you to use text) and seemed unfamiliar with insurance/unwilling to figure it out. Therefore, it was fine overall - we got what we needed in the end, but will probably would not go back.

She listens and is personable with amazing bedside manner. The rating is not for her service, credentials, or expertise but for her front staff. These aspirational IG influencing ladies, are always rude and rushing. Two times I have had to tell her staff that I do not use medical insurance for any visits and had been billed once through my medical coverage and after countless calls, and emails, I was finally refunded my "out of pocket costs" for my annual visit. Not one apology offered for the indignant attitude given by the staff or for the erroneous mistake of billing the wrong insurance. After even walking the younger woman through my insurance copays and also providing their phone number to verify she still sent the bill to my insurance and charged me. Today the same scenario with a different aspirational influencer. Less resistance though and actually looked up my insurance and coverage but also I refused to provide my medical insurance. I'm sure had I provided it she would have taken the same lazy route as the other lady a year and a half ago - and billed the wrong insurance again.

There was a small issue with syncing my previous exam records, so they had to contact support to get it resolved, but they kept me informed and handled it professionally. The email notifications could use some improvement--the scheduling link in the email went to the wrong system--but the scheduling link on the website worked perfectly fine. I didn't buy new frames this time since my prescription didn't change and I'm still happy with my current pair. They do have a wide selection of frames, and while many lean toward the expensive side, the quality looks good and there are plenty of nice options to choose from. Overall, a positive experience and I'll continue coming back.

They weren't technically open, but they let me in anyway and popped a new nose pad in for me in under 2 minutes. Wouldn't even accept payment! FABULOUS customer service today.

This is the opposite when it comes to Dr. Ly. It's so easy to make an appt online and the doctor sees you on time. Dr. Ly explains everything that she is doing and what each machine does during the eye exam. She is also keeps up to date with new types of eye wear such as blue-lens glasses and transition contacts; and will recommend the type of eye wear needed for your daily activities.

She has always been kind and attentive every time I saw her and made the whole process as easy as possible for me. Well, this time I decided to take my two boys there. They both needed new glasses, and they wanted to try contact lenses for the first time. Wow! She was so patient with them and encouraging even when one of them literally spent 2 hours trying to get his contacts in! It has become extremely difficult to schedule appointments with Dr. Hinkle or Dr. Boyle. After waiting weeks, we've arrived for appointments only to be told they were canceled without notice. Additionally, the front office staff is often rude and make simple questions feel like an inconvenience. The newer staff responsible for fitting glasses also do not seem to take the time to properly ensure a correct fit. This has been very disappointing given the level of care we experienced in the past. Unfortunately, today was the tipping point and we will not be back.
