When I walked in, I was greeted right away and she took my glasses to the back to replace the pad. When she brought them back out, she noticed they weren't sitting quite right on my face and immediately went back to adjust them. Attention to detail and I didn't even have to ask! I've gone to many other places, but Dr Todd was the only one that got me the perfect contact lenses match. I've mentioned the discomfits I've had with other brand to other optometrist locations with no avail to having the right fit of contacts so I've had to wear glasses most of my life. One day I decided to switch over to Shettle vision with recommendation from my sister. My first visit I told doc what discomforts I've had with contacts and would like to have contact so can do activities without the worries of my glasses flying off my face. Doc Todd suggested a brand I try out. Let me tell you, it only took one visit for me to get the right contacts without any discomfort. This is why I've been going to Shettle Vision for years. I truly appreciate how Dr. Roberts actually explains details of the eye exam results: pictures and some important details of certain symptoms to be aware of, as we get older. The doctor gives out contact SAMPLES and his highly recommended brands. I opt to get glasses and Emily takes the time to actually walk around with me and personally pick for me based on my preferences: any cost-effective frame with hinges and preferably in gold. In less than 15minutes, we found one and Emily helped me looked online for a different color (gold and black) than on the display. With frame and lenses , with anti-glare and blue-light feature, (and using my insurance), I am ecstatic to pay $131. I made sure to ask for the detailed breakdown of the exam and RECEIPTS, and Emily hands me a cute PACKET with everything in it. confirmed that they are in-network with my insurance company only to be told--after driving in…read moretraffic to make it here early as requested by them--that they were going to charge me $80-100 for a contact lens fitting that my level of coverage, in-network, pays in full. they could not explain why they wouldn't cover this, since they *are* in-network, they just told me they were going to charge me and i could take it up with insurance for a reimbursement check if i wanted. it's ridiculous they think they can pick and choose what in-network services they feel like covering, and they don't even communicate that over the phone when i specifically asked. definitely planning on calling insurance to inform them of this. i would look elsewhere before wasting your time here.
