Overpriced for inferior services. I have several complaints about this location but the main one is being overcharged for lenses that were covered by my insurance. Non designer frames, progressive lenses, transition lenses were almost $400. The arm came off of the glasses a few months after purchase, the associate said they couldn't be repaired but offered me a small discount on another pair. My husband was able to easily repair the glasses.I didn't realize that all of those things were covered by my insurance until I went elsewhere for my annual exam. Beautiful designer frames, progressive lenses( covered 100% by my insurance), anti glare lenses were $55. read more

I took my frames to the Visionworks in Seminole Florida, with the intention of having new lenses installed. They were able to assess the frames and told me that they would be acceptable. They were titanium frames made by Auto flex in Japan, possibly one of the strongest frames ever made. Vision works sent the frames to Texas where the lenses would be made. 12 days later I received a call and they said my frames had been broken. I had to select one of the frames they had available. inferior as they were, and send them off to have lenses made for them in Texas. 12 days later I received two pairs of glasses. One pair was my Autoflex frames, which were NOT broken and the inferior pair that I had to select from Visionworks stock. The inferior pair were not satisfactory but I had to have something to wear to see. I took my Autoflex pair which were not broken to a local optician called Eyeglass World and within three hours they had cut and fit my new prescription lenses into my Autoflex frames. They had no problems. Visionworks used to be able to provide the same service but all they did was take my money without doing what they said they would do. read more

I have spent the last week looking for the right eye glasses at the right price. I found several frames in a variety stores, but some lacked product selection, some lacked knowledgeable techs and some were just so darn expensive, I cannot justify the price. Customer service was lacking in ability or willingness to help, and some were more concerned about getting lunch ordered. I felt defeated and frustrated, but made one last attempt in the Vision Works on Park in Seminole, Florida. I now have glasses order and I'm excited about the frames I finally found. Jason was there to save the day. He was knowledgeable about the nose bridge fit, he had the patience to help me find something I was happy with and he made the transaction enjoyable and eliminated the stress. Please give this young man a raise. He is an incredible asset to your company, and deserves to be recognized for his exceptional customer service. Thanks again Jason. read more

This was my first time utilizing Vision Works. I was extremely pleased in obtaining an appointment quickly around my schedule by the very kind Pam who answered the phone. I was greeted at my appointment with great enthusiasm by her and my wait was not long at all. I then was taken for my basic eye screening by Brittney who was very thorough and explained the various tests as we went along. I then was examined by Dr. Pham.. Dr. Pham explained my options utilizing contacts with my monovision as well as explaining the benefits of improving my vision for distance driving. This was the first time I have ever had my vision options explained so well!! By the way, both Dr Pham and Dr Case are definitely very attractive and kind. I definitely recommend this great group of professionals! read more

The female optometrist is plain rude and short with people. She stopped my exam, told me I needed to see a certain kind of specialist, explained nothing about why or what she saw and then told me I was done... another time we were there she questioned my husband about putting his contacts in incorrectly and insisted it's because his hands weren't washed or something stupid and then come to find out she gave him two lefts. Whatever her level of expertise is, is completely overshadowed by her attitude. She also told me I was "at the age" of needing progressives (37) but ever since wearing them I've had awful eye straining and daily headaches. Which brings us to her recommendation to a specialist. Literally so impolite. Needs to work on her people skills because she was 0% helpful. read more

Third visit today bringing my mother here as a Humana patient. She was getting dilation eye exam so needed a ride. They didn't do the exam the first two visits... and when we showed up for the 3rd visit, they did not have a clue she needed that test done-indicating they are not well organized or communicating with each other about patient needs. We waited 45 minutes from the scheduled appointment time... and this is pretty standard in my three experiences bringing her here--not the first or even second time the wait has been excessive. They fail at communication with each other, time management and organization. If you like waiting for appointments 45+ minutes, want people more interested is selling you new stuff over performing the exams you are there for, then this is the place for you. Staff is friendly enough... no problems there. read more

I love the store, location, staff & service. It was easy to make an appointment. They accepted my insurance, store is huge with plenty of options to choice from & girls are very professional and courteous. Glad i choose this store to go to. Great location as well & only minutes from my hone. Office is very clean & nice little waiting area as well. Loved the fact that it wasn't super crowded at all & no wait time. My appt was at 11:00 & I was seen at 11:00. Quick & easy & smooth going throughout the whole process. And lastly I actually like the 2 pair of glasses that my insurance did covered so my visit did not cost me out of pocket at all. Highly recommend this place!! read more

Typically I love going to this location, every time it is convenient and an all around pleasure. However this time I came in for my appointment 10 minutes early after I had already taken the day off to do so and instead of the typical pleasantries I was greeted with a scowl from Angela (Angie) a older blonde woman. She insisted that I did not have an appointment even after having them listen to the message I was left from their automated service. When I asked Angie about why she was treating a loyal customer this way she said you are welcome to go somewhere else and rolled her eyes at me. Now as I sit writing this she continually is walking past me giving me evil eyes. I just don't know what would give a person the need to be this mean toward someone they have never even met. Unfortunately I don't think vision works will be getting my business any longer. Unless this is dealt with and I am apologized too. read more

If you decide to go to this visionworks location for your eye exam, DO NOT see Dr. Pham(I have no experience with Dr Case and therefore cannot recommend him either). I had to tell Pham I could not understand what he was saying multiple times due to speaking too fast and unclearly. He started the exam with letters I could not see at all (despite the fact that I brought in my previous prescription) and this continued for most of the exam even though I stated I could not see the letters multiple times. He told me that my answers of which choices I could see better were "wrong" and after the exam stated that I "was giving him weird answers" when I was just trying to tell him what I saw best. He stated that he could "not get my vision past 20/40" and that "maybe my eyes were dry and straining". Maybe offering eye drops or adjusting the lenses according to my answers would have helped. Pham ended up simply giving me the exact same prescription that I brought him and have now had for 2 years due to not being able to get an exam last year during COVID. I did not receive a contact fitting nor did I receive contacts to take home as I have for every eye exam in the past. I was also asked if I would like to have my eyes dialated, and told that I would sit for 20 minutes. Already feeling uncomfortable being told my answers were "wrong" and not confident that the exam was complete or accurate, I declined to sit around. In the past, I have been given drops for dialation at the beginning of the appointment and have never had to sit and wait for 20 minutes but when I mentioned that, I was again told I was wrong. While my biggest complaint was about the incomplete and inaccurate exam, the service provided by the front desk staff and management was also subpar. Upon arrival, I informed the front desk that my address and name were inaccurate on the paperwork they provided me. I was dismissed and told they would "fix it later", which they never did. After the appointment, I spoke with 2 front desk employees for help as I felt my exam was not conducted accurately and I barely got a response at all and except to say they would not assist me. On my way out, I attempted one last effort to ask a manager to help and was told that the doctors work for themselves so all she could do was tell the main doctor as Pham was only filling in this day. I asked if I could come see the main doctor for an accurate exam, as I only get one exam a year through insurance and I was not comfortable that this "exam" was right. The manager flat out told me no. Zero effort was made to make the issues right or to keep my business. I strongly recommend you go to any other business over visionworks if you're looking for good customer service and an accurate annual exam. read more

I stopped going to visionworks because the employees are slow to respond, act as if they dont care and you wait forever before they recognize your standing there. Not a lot of smiling happens here. I went for an exam and new glasses. My appointment was on time but the waiting room filled up quick. After my exam, while my eyes were dilated, a woman helped me pick out new glasses. When I went back, I picked them up and was confused. So I went back the next day and told the woman who greeted me that I don't think the glasses I got were the ones I ordered. She rudely pointed to the boards and said I could pick out the pair I wanted but they had to be $69.99 glasses. The ones I thought I picked out did not seem to be there and anything close was over $100.00. But the point is that she waddled over to were 2 other employees were whispering about me not being happy and she did NOT help me at all. She never came over once nor said good bye when I said good bye when I was leaving the store. Totally rude and I was ignored. Will not go back again. read more

I have been going to vision works for years and have always had a good experience. However, this experience was different. The staff was amazing. However, I was overcharged for my exam. My insurance usually cover my whole exam. So I usually walk out paying nothing. And I use my allowance from my insurance to purchase my contacts or glasses. However, this time, I was charged as a "specialty fitting". 60 dollars for myself and 60 for husband. However, our exams should of been completely covered. When I asked the lady at the front desk why I was paying a copay. She had no explanation and just showed me their pricing sheet. She explained she was on the glasses side and was just filling in. I did not want to argue and I had already been there 3 hours so I just decided to pay, and I would dispute it later. When I called the store the next day, I was informed I was charged for the specialty fitting due to the dr being subcontracted. Hearing this frustrated me because my vision works states that they take my insurance and my insurance even gives me an extra amount towards my allowance for going there. But now, the doctor is subcontracted? If that was the case, that should of been mentioned to me at the time I made my appointment. So I called corporate. Corporate was nice and willing to help. They called the store and became the middle man between us. However, he was giving another story. The reason why I was charged for the specialty fitting for my husband and myself was because we have an astigmatism and needed special contacts. However, I have had an astigmatism for years and I have never been charged this special fitting charge. I was later given an explanation regarding Torque fittings and another fitting. There was no fitting or anything special done to my eyes. I have worn contacts for over 20 years. The only thing that was different was that the doctor pressured me into getting a different brand of contacts. I told the doctor What brand i used prior and he told me that this brand was better. But then went on to say that he can't tell the difference in the feelings of the contact! The customer service rep from Corporate informed me that was the reason why I was charged so much but that I was only charged 30 per person, not 60. That was not true. I have my receipt and my bank statement showing I was charged 60 per person. However, the rep explained that he would direct me to another vision works that didn't subcontract. Umm, why would I be directed to another vision works if the reason why I was over charged wasn't because of the subcontracted doctor? It was because of the "special fitting". Nothing made sense and it's all fishy. I referred my coworker to Vision Works because we have the same insurance and I told her all of my past experiences and how great vision works is and how we get an extra amount towards our allowance. Well, she went to a different location and was charged for the $60 specialty fitting too. However she doesn't not have an astigmatism and has been unable to reach anyone to resolve this issue. Vision works is not what it used to be. They are worried about getting rich. And I will never go there again! read more

This was a great store when John Pizzo was the manager. But he is gone now, and the quality of the work has dropped off. The staff are not adequately trained or experienced to do the important work that they need to do to help their customers. They lack a basic customer service attitude. My husband, daughter, and I have been going to Visionworks in Seminole for a few years. At one time it was a good experience. Now, not so much. Spent over 2 hours for my husbands eye exam and glasses purchase with my eye exam for contacts. However, my eye exam was very rushed, since the doctor got backed up. I was offered more bifocal power with contacts, but declined, since I needed my contacts right away and could not wait to try them out for a week. Well, I need more bifocal power and asked if I could come in and get a sample now. My vision otherwise appears good. I was told I had to come in and have to be rechecked, even though I was offered the sample the first time. Fine, I made an appt, showed up for my appt and power was just restored, but doctor was not coming back for two hours. I could not come back in two hours and be rushed through again. No phone call and yet they leave voicemails constantly when you are due for you annual appt. I tried getting in again, but they closed early that day, said next appoint was 4 days out. I am not a priority, since I am only a recheck, so no charge. Not to mention, I purchased my contacts and they kept saying my contacts were not covered, but I told them I have been wearing them for years and they are. Finally, I had to sign a paper that I would pay if they were not covered. Fine, I knew they were and they were. Of course, if I get more bifocal power I will need a new script, which I know I would have to pay for. Cecelia is very nice, but spread very thin. I have referred many people here, but I will no longer be doing that. read more

Bought two pair of name brand glasses one regular pair transitions the other Polaroid sunglasses same frame. Spent close to $1000. and they would only give me one case that was for the name brand glasses and a visionworks case for the other. I ask for a cleaning cloth and was told they don't give those any longer but could purchase one for $4. I declined. Glasses are very nice but will probably get my glasses from my eye Drs. optical from now on. read more

I was on vacation and did not realize that I was on my last pair of contact lens. After calling a few offices, I was able to get an appointment with VisionWorks. I was seen by Dr. Case, whom is very knowledgable and had explained to me what he was doing during each procedure of the eye examination. I was impressed with the details in his work. He recommended that I should try daily contact lenses, acuvue moist, because of my lack of care for my monthly lenses. Ive been wearing these lenses for a week and I absolutely love it. If I am back in town, I would definitely come back here and see Dr. Case. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Scheduled a contact lens exam for my 12 year old son told them when it was scheduled that it was his first time wearing contacts. Showed up for my 11:15 appointment reiterated that he was new to contacts, after waiting 30 minutes past the appointment time finally taken back only to find out that the guy who was doing it was new and wasn't aware it was a new fitting and told me he would give it his "best shot." I then spoke with John P. the general manager who was a very nervous man and exuded zero confidence. He told me he could do the fitting. But there were concerns over the time that it would take and it would push back other appointments so he said he would have to deal with other customers while simultaneously dealing with my son.Sadly I left concerned that they could not do a proper fitting. New appointment scheduled with LensCrafters and no longer a customer of Visionworks. read more
