The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. I had no idea when I made my appointment that I would be seeing a doctor over Zoom. Once the exam was over I met with a lady who was more of a salesman than anything. They offered me "discounts" and then used that as an excuse to not bill my insurance. When I asked if that was the company policy or my insurance policy she said "I don't know." Do not go there. read more

Continually the worst service and care. New staff every time I go. Always wait too long no one knows what's going on

I made this account just so I can leave a review in order to ward off people from wasting their money and time here. The staff are friendly, but they either have no clue what they are doing or they don't care. The lady who ordered my glasses and lenses put in an incorrect insurance code. So, when my order arrived, the lab had canceled my order and sent in a set of generic lenses, uncut, and sent back my frames. The office never even bothered to check that my order was correct, and seemed very confused as to why I received no lenses in my frames and no prescription lenses. They literally had no idea what was going on. They at least admitted their mistake, finally. They gave me a partial credit to my account for the inconvenience. Then, they said they would correct the order. Well, four days later, the order still wasn't put in, so I called again. I asked them what the hold up is; the lady who made the order the first time gave me some incoherent answer about insurance. The answer made no sense, because all she had to do is put in the order with the correct code into the computer. Instead, she gave me some ridiculous excuse about playing phone tag with the insurance company even though no phone call was necessary, and she even told me that in the previous phone call, so she clearly made up an excuse. Then, she said she would immediately put my order in and call me to confirm by the end of the day. No call. I went to the office in Williston, and they immediately corrected my order and said that the Stowe office had massively screwed up my order so much that they even ordered a type of lenses that I specifically said I didn't want. Because I broke my glasses, I have none to wear. It has been a month since I originally ordered my glasses. DO NOT GO TO THE STOWE OFFICE. Take the extra time and go to Williston where they know what they're doing. read more

This was the worst eye exam I've ever had, and an overall terrible experience. I was rushed through various tests with a tech, and then had a "remote" appointment with another tech and an optometrist who was physically located in Colorado! I wasn't allowed time to ask questions although I several eye issues. I ordered one pair of glasses for reading which took 3 weeks to receive, and then couldn't read with them and had to return. Horrible! read more

Recently I was supposed to have a surgical follow up with Dr. Brodman. The office confirmed by appointment a week in advance but the day before my appointment they left a message that the doctor was out of the country! There was no follow up call. No email. And when I called they told me she was leaving the practice and moving to the Burlington office. When I called them they said I would have to wait if I came in for the follow up. Really? Their mistake and I have to pay with my time? This was not the first time they have screwed me up. The front of house staff basically sucks. And the doctors take no responsibility. Not only did they fit me with the wrong prescription a year ago, but a friend of ours has had to go back 3 times for them to get his prescription right. I am now looking for a new doctor. read more

This is not really a one star review. You cannot leave a zero star review. Glasses arrived 4 weeks late. Not the frames I ordered. I could deal with that. Put them on and it was like putting on a set of novelty glasses. Everything was blurry. The man waiting on me took them out back and told me I was wrong the prescription was right. They offered a re-check with the doctor if I wanted to pay. At least the rude clerk rolled his eyes at me multiple times before he raised his voice to me when I asked for a receipt for my partial refund... On the bright side I have a new bar set for the worst customer service I have ever received. Thankfully I am going to a dinner party later and get to tell a new story my friends that they have not heard yet!! If you are looking to be super frustrated and to get scolded like a naughty puppy who pooped on the floor, this is the place to go!! Cancelled my appointment twice. The second time they waited to inform me until I arrived for my appointment. Claimed to have tried to reach me by phone but there is no record of any call or email. No apology, no offer to work me in-I drove more than an hour to get to the office. Been a patient of another location of My Eye Dr for more than 20 years. Not any more. If a business wants to turn away a paying customer, there are plenty of other businesses that will be more than happy to serve you. read more

I went to this location for an eye exam and a pair of glasses. drove over an hour to get their go through a whole eye exam. When it was done they told me I had to come back to be seen by a doctor. I came back to get another eye exam, waited two weeks for my glasses and can't see out of the glasses. I take that back I have to wear the glasses upside down and then I can see. In all my years of going to for eye exams and glasses am not pleased. This location in Stowe, VT is very sheisty. read more

this was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. First off, neither the tech nor the Dr. had the courtesy to tell me their names. I went in as a new patient with a specific eye problem. The tech asked if I wanted an eye exam. I didn't know-I was there for a problem, but didn't know I would need an exam for new glasses. Then, the Dr. didn't seem to know whether he should dilate my eyes as part of the exam. So he asked me if I wanted them dilated. Not being an eye doctor myself, I had no idea! But I had to make the decision anyway. After the exam, they charged me $60 more than they quoted on the phone, even though the appointment I scheduled was for an eye problem. Then, after the problem specific exam was completed, when I told them I wanted to get some prescription sunglasses, they told me my prescription was expired, and I would need an eye exam. Basically, if you go to myeyedr, you need to be educated as an eye doctor yourself to know exactly what care you might need. The most unprofessional experience I've ever had! read more

I initially called to schedule an appointment in July and they were booked until September. Had my appointment rescheduled and then was told I needed to do a virtual appointment. Was later told the virtual appointment costs an extra $44. Yesterday they left a message to confirm my appointment and said they had bumped me out of my time slot and would keep it that way until I called back to confirm. This morning they called to tell me they accidentally booked someone during my appointment time and asked if I could reschedule. I live an hour away and this is the closest doctor in my network, but I will pay out of pocket somewhere else because I have never been treated so poorly as a patient. read more

Previous bad reviews were based on a physician who has since sold the business and left. I went for the first time for my 9yo son (despite the poor Yelp reviews) and had an excellent experience -- easy to book, very nice office, friendly staff, very knowledgeable pediatric eye dr who gave advice that I trusted and wasn't trying to up-sell anything (eg advised against contacts at this time) and provided useful info about latest technologies to slow myopia progression. Easy to try on and order glasses. Very sensible Covid precautions that made me feel comfortable being inside but also made it easy to interact with folks. I'll definitely be back. read more
