I stopped in on a whim today. When I arrived the owner apologized for a strange odour. It turns out one of their ovens had broken and had to be shut down, and she said it would take a little longer for my order. Well folks, good things come to those who wait! I ordered the classic poutine and it was fantastic. The fries were crispy and flavourful, the gravy was delicious with a slightly tangy flavour, and there were lots of real squeaky cheese curds! The cheese and gravy complimented each other very nicely. As for the restaurant, it was super clean, has comfortable seating and really nice modern decor. The bathrooms were also immaculate! It looked and smelled like they had just been freshly scrubbed. The staff were both super friendly, and I watched both staff members wash their hands after touching the registers, as well as before and after handling food. Next time I make my way to the west end, I will be sure to stop in again to try other items on their awesome menu! read more

I don't normally write reviews, especially bad ones but my experience was so bad that I hope no one else wastes their time & money on this place. We ordered a regular poutine with slow braised roast beef & sautéed mushrooms (pictured below) $11. The beef looked like a dirty rag & my husband was so put off he wouldn't eat it. I ordered the classics poutine ($9) & was sad to find that it didn't come with a dark, rich brown gravy like New York fries but rather a pale "poutine" gravy. My fries were lukewarm and the cheese curds not even melted. Was like chewing on rubber. We ordered a small plain fries ($4) for our children and they looked like day old fries that there warmed up in the microwave and taste like it too. They lacked colour and were hard as a rock. They were not edible whatsoever. Clearly the photos I provided look nothing like others posted here, not sure if I got a disgruntled employee but this was hugely disappointing. For those looking for a very solid twist on a poutine. Excellent variety, ingredients are fresh and certainly plentiful. The think I love the most is that they don't try to short change you on the more premium ingredients. Their Prime Beef is an excellent choice and the chilli is home made and delicious. Their claim is that their oven baked fries (some odd contraption that does them in about 4min) is healthy. Not sure about that, calling a poutine healthy in any case is a bold claim, but the care put into the ingredients would make it certainly healthier than the traditional fried options and the quality of the fry isn't compromised. Awesome is a word i would use for this wonderful place...My son and his family brought me there and i was so excited to see that they actually served gluten free and baked fries and that they had curds for the poutine...We had a variety consisting of the philly cheese which was delicious ,My son had cheeseburger and he loved it as well as my daughter in law...my grand daughter made her own combo and said it was great. Another plus i would like to add is that we tasted the donair sauce and by far the best we have seen her in edmonton very good indeed. I have recently visited My Fries. And it was fantastic. The hours unfortunately are not the greatest but the poutine is well worth it. I have tried 2 different items and have been satisfied both times. I enjoy that they do not deep fry the fries but they bake them. I highly recommend this place. read more

My wife and I got a BOGO coupon for them and have tried to go in the past but always was closed when we would go. Not this time. We got in around 2 pm and there was a few people eating in silence. We approached to cashier and another lady, who by demeanor I would guess was the owner or the manager. She greeted us very warmly and was quick to offer suggestions. We settled on the cheeseburger and butter chicken poutine. Both of the employees endorsed highly the butter chicken. While we waited for our order several other customers came in, a few were greeted by name. I was very impressed by that. The owner/manager? Came over to our table while we waited and chatted with us for almost the entire time we waited for our order. Very pleasant conversation about our children. When our food was ready I grabbed it from the counter and sat back down. I was very impressed by the butter chicken. It was KILLER! The fries were baked i think in an oven(looked like an oven). They were crisp fresh and about the size of a McDonald's fry. It was sooooo good. My son refused to try anything, but my wife and I loved. Her only complaint f you would even call it that was her cheeseburger poutine needed pickles. Might go back tomorrow. Overall the food, the freshness, the customer service. Bang on. Great place. Price wise I thought a little bit pricey. For the pop and the fries was 12 almost 13 dollars. Even being a bit pricier I would go back! read more

Went yesterday and the prices were so so, I got the pontine regular size, I went by the size of the box that I saw and they only filled that up maybe half way. I liked the extra toppings, but the fries could have been better and the portion could've been bigger. It was disappointing after the reviews I read about the place. read more

Always fresh....made to order. Fries aren't sitting under a heater...ever. Super healthy compared to deep fried fries. Staff always friendly....offers to adjust the set menu items at the slightest hint from a customer. Always remembers my order. I chose the small box, because medium was a full meal and the large can feed a family. I met with clients and had a pleasant meeting location complete with wifi and privacy. A great place to go for a celiac to go for Poutine - it is GLUTEN FREE!! I have now been a few and always enjoyed it. The owner is very aware of the risk of cross contamination and told me EVERYTHING he makes is gluten free. A VERY nice change for a celiac - you can truly order ANYTHING on the menu :) The chilli cheese fries are AWESOME! We also had the Philly Steak, which was good as well - but could use smaller pieces of meat to spread it out more. The same goes for the Donair Poutine - although the meat amount is sufficient, because it is in only a few large pieces it seems like not enough. The Cheeseburger Poutine is also great, lots of toppings and cheesy saucy goodness :) The Butter Chicken Poutine is great with the sweet potato fries, but needed an extra scoop of sauce to cover all the fries and melt the cheese. I would still recommend it for Poutine lovers and especially Celiacs who are looking for something outside the ordinary. A WORD OF CAUTION FOR CELIACS!! We found this location through Student Ticket pack and boy are we glad we did. It is just poutine but the fries are cooked via jot air and the variety of topping choices are amazing and so delicious. The service is so pleasant but because it is a fast food service the atmosphere is not very appealing, a bit austere. However we do not go there for the ambiance but the food. I like to order the largest items so Io have something to snack on later. My favorite poutine is the Chili Fries, lip smacking good! read more

AMAZING CATERING! We were having a staff party at work, a lunch to celebrate Canada's 150. We went with a Canadiana theme for our party, including the food. Of course we chose poutine as our main dish, so we began looking for a place to order from, or to cater from. MyFries turned out to be the place, hands down. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, had a great selection to choose from for our fussy staff, and it was so incredibly affordable. They brought it out to our office building and even the delivery fee was affordable! Our staff had made custom orders in advance, and the orders showed up hot, fresh and with all of our names on each order so we knew who's each order belonged to. And then we all dug in, and it was delicious! I didn't hear one grumble or complaint, but rather compliments and kudos to MyFries. It really was great. We were all stuffed, happy and still had enough left in our budget to decorate for the occasion and give away prizes! I would totally recommend this company. This is a wonderful family owned establishment. The fries are a bit of a disappointment taste-wise; probably because they aren't deep fried. Another trip to My Fries, this time Dad came too. Clean, friendly, family run poutine place. Order at a counter but more like a sit-down with sleek modern city decor. Low fat fries made in a tumble-type oven with lots of topping selections. My daughter is gluten and dairy intolerant and is pleasantly pleased to be able to pick and choose her protein and veggies. We were told that they are switching over to a gluten free gravy now, too! She ordered her own custom plate and we had the pulled pork and donair fries. Potatoes stay nice and firm, not squished and greasy. A bit overwhelming first time, trying to decide what to try. But everything so far has been real good. Yes it is more for fries than McDonalds but it's a meal in a box. Daughter is so tired of trying to explain what gluten is in some places, this is such a treat!
