What was one an incredible place to have authentic Greek food, has gone and left the building. The atmosphere, is still the same place, the owner sits in a booth, and goes through receipts, and comes around to greet 1each table. We had the Calimari, which was old and rubbery. The Pita is Arabic pita, not th Greek pita, the food portions are reduced but the cost is inflated. The Moussaka flavour was okay but very greasy, and not firm the greek salad, was mainly iceberg lettuce, with a grated feta 3 olives, 2 pieces of tomatoe with 3 chunks of cucumber.. The souvlaki dinner skewers were dried out, and the meat was far from juicy and plump. The seafood platter which was once all fresh seafood, is now all frozen and throw it in the deep fryer to over cook, and have a plate of grease. The Hamburger, was definitely, cooked the day before, and tasted boiled to warm it up. We have been going there off, and on since we moved to London in 1990. This was suppose to be my birthday supper, and this by far has been the worst experience food wise from Mykonos.. Shame on you Mykonos, you make the Greek cuisine a non authentic experience. Lemon, where is the lemon? Lemon rice, lemon potatoes, lemon soup. Do yourself a favour, and go to Mr. Greek, it is more authentic, and flavourful. LOVE THIS PLACE. First of all, the decor is so cute. It really transports you to Greece and just makes you feel super comfortable with twinkly lights everywhere. The owner and all the workers are super nice - it seems like it's a family owned business. We had a question about desserts, and one of the employees took the time to pull out all of the desserts and explain them to us as well as explaining the traditional Greek names. The food here is also excellent! I got the grilled seafood platter - the scallops and the shrimp are truly amazing. Also, it came with a healthy amount of rice or potatoes (or mixed!). It was so much food and so good. We also got a lamb chop which was also amazing. We took our food to go, and they gave us a lot of bread and butter without us even asking. The desserts were amazing too. The next time I pass through London, this will be my first stop. read more

Had a Friday night meal here. We got Heidi's special and a seafood veggie stir fry dinner. Both were served w Greek salad, and bread to start. Everything was tasty and felt wholesome. The portions were generous, although I think the price was reflective of that. A lady came by (I think she's the hostess everyone here speaks of) who was super friendly. Last minute lunch plans for my boyfriend's birthday, decided to look up Greek places on yelp and was recommended Mykonos. The interiors are bright and cheery, in true Greek fashion. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there were only two other tables with people there. I ordered the chicken souvlaki. mini size, which was the same portions as the regular but with one kebab of chicken instead of two. This was perfect for me because I don't have the biggest appetite. It tasted great, highly recommend it. The waitress asked us what the occasion was, and we said a birthday. To our surprise, she brought us a plate of baklava at the end of the meal, on the house!! Another month, another night out with the International Supper Club! This time we hit up Mykonos for some amazing greek food! To add to our experience, we made sure to come on the same night as A Taste For Life. This is where restaurants in the area give 25% of their revenue from the night to a local HIV/AIDS foundation. Great cause. I arrived 30 minutes early but that didn't seem to faze the wait staff here. They ushered me to the back patio where many large tables were set up for reservations for the night. I absolutely love the decor in this place. At first in the photos I thought it may be a bit kitschy but it is really nice in real life and definitely gives you that real Mykonos feel. It appears that the roof and the walls are temporary in this spot and it actually does open up to a patio which would be really nice in the summer. Before my party arrived the waitress let me know about a few popular dishes. Once everyone was accounted for, I ordered the Appetizer platter for the table and another person ordered the saganaki (pan fried cheese....flaming). The apps were wonderful. The scordalia (potatoes) on the platter were VERY garlicky but in a good way. They really had some zing and were almost spicy. We enjoyed the greek style caviar as well. I'm glad I didn't know what it was before I tried it otherwise I would have been a bit scared. I ordered the Heidi Special which came with rice, greek salad, tsaziki, gigantes (giant beans in a tomato sauce), tyropitaki (cheese triangles in phyllo), and spanakopitaki (spinach and cheese in phyllo). I loved the two pastry dishes. Really really flavorful. In the end, the experience was totally awesome. The vibe out in the patio area was lively and fun. A bit loud at times but it really felt genuine. No tv's or loud music to fill the air, just the sound of good cheer. The food is great and they have take out too if you ever want to bring some home. I've been here a few times to celebrate birthdays and I tended to order scallops or shrimp with fries. Very delicious. My visit last month allowed me to stray from the norm and I ordered pork souvlaki with fries and a greek village salad. I was quite surprised to see a chop cut in my souvlaki instead of tenderloin. Not used to eating it that way and was mildly put off by the fat. The tsaziki was garlic-y fresh, though. My friend ordered the oven baked zucchini & artichoke phyllo and she said it was okay (expected something different, she said). Service was okay, but a bit sporadic and harried. The place is always really busy, though so it's easy to cut 'em some slack. read more

This is one stalwart of a Greek restaurant. Having ate here back in the summer of '06 and then the other night for our son's 5th birthday. This review really focuses on the service as much as the food. My wife had the lamb liver while dad and I had the chicken souvlaki. Much more delicious stuff to explore on another night!! What really made the night was the owner walking around and making our son feel like a king on his birthday. They arranged for some sweets with a sparkler to be deliverers after the entrees. I feel lucky and blessed to live only a few short blocks from here. Mykonos has one of the best patios in the city and Heidi is an amazing hostess and person. The food and service are both consistently great and it often feels like a home away from home for me. The food and service is authentically Greek. My personal favorites are the saganaki, calamari and dolmathes. I will sheepishly admit I've had a few less than perfect meals here but that seems not bad considering the 100s of great ones I had. Oh - the lamb is great too! You should expect to be warmly greeted, checked on throughout the meal and perhaps most importantly, well-fed. The key for me is to ensure you're seated on the patio - which is heated for year-round enjoyment. The rest of you experience will honestly take care of itself. OPA! read more

I have a good time every time I come here. As I grew up in London, my family would often come here for family dinners. We loved sitting out on the patio, even in the winter when it's covered and heated. So nice seeing as the winter is so long. The food is reliable, Greek fare. If you're not familiar with Greek food, try one of the combination platters. One platter will easily feed two moderately hungry people. I love the moussaka and dolmathes. The servers are great and the owner will treat you like family. She remembers us every time we visit. You can't pay for that kind of experience. Tonight I came to Mykonos for the London International Supper Club, this month was Greek. I have been here a few times before and I have always had amazing service and delicious food. Today was no different. There was an event going on for A Taste for Life, for Regional AIDS/HIV Connection, so this meal also went towards a great cause. The place was packed when I walked in, and luckily I found our table out on the patio area. I had perused the menu earlier, online, at work and I had my heart set on Heidi's Special, a vegetarian platter that came with greek salad, gigantes, spanikopitaki, rice, tryopitaki & tsaziki. It was all fresh and hot. We first started with the Small Appetizer Platter, which had a variety of spreads, feta cheese, olives and mashed potatoes, along with gigantes to taste from, it came with fresh pita bread and actual bread and butter, along with saganaki, pan friend cheese that was lit on fire! That was amazing. Our waitress, being that the restaurant was full of patrons, was on top with taking our orders, drink refills and making sure we were satisfied with our meal. The company was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and the prices were reasonable. I'll be back to try another great item of their menu. read more

Much like Tash T., I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a teenager. This is our family's venue of choice for birthdays and other celebrations. I also agree with Tash that the warm welcome from Heidi adds to the enjoyment of lunches and dinners at the Mykonos. The food is very consistant. Our favourites include the calamari, the super garlicky tzaziki, saganaki, dolmathes and pork souvlaki. My sons usually order halibut or trout and always enjoy it. We had an absolutely atrocious meal last night at at Mykonos. The pork souvlaki was overcooked, dry and tasteless, the lamb in the lamb pita dish was dry, very tough and basically inedible and the seafood grill was a meagre serving and not at all as advertised. The roast potatoes were very dry, the salad was limp with a light shaving of feta and tasteless dressing and the basmati rice was soggy and a completely inappropriate accompaniment for a Greek meal. The bread and wine were fine as were the tzatziki, calamari, saganaki and grilled quail appetizer. Too bad the remainder of the meal was so disappointing. 2 of us were sick afterwards. Perhaps a new chef would be helpful. At $45/pp more should be expected. read more

We just moved into London, and being a Greek family, we decided to have some Greek food. We saw that this place miraculously won best Greek food of 2018 in london (has every staff and owner changed since then?) and has a lot of positive reviews. This is truly disheartening considering the amount of positive reviews which only shows that people here dont know what real Greek food is supposed to be...this also bodes terribly for the rest of the Greek restaurants in London as this is by far, the absolute worst, most tasteless, disgusting bland pieces of meat I've ever tried in my entire life. Worst Greek food we've ever eaten by a loooooong shot. I've never been petty enough to negatively review something before but this was just disgusting and outrageous. Tzatziki is completely tasteless, bread is just basically white wonder bread toast, untoasted. The rice was NOT Greek rice...i think its basmati, unseasoned, with random scraps of veggies thrown in. The salad may as well just be vegetables chopped up and thrown into a compostable (only good thing) container with a puny amount of feta and seasoning. The presentation is also slightly decent but that's about all I can say positive. 80 damn dollars basically better used to wipe your ass with. The tomato in the cubed chicken on salad was literally spoiled. No napkins...I cant believe this place has so many positive reviews... Are you all being paid to be positive or something? Oh yeah, to top it off, they also forgot to give us one of our (not cheap) dinners, so now we need to drive back and pick it up, 40 extra minutes of driving. Just awful. This place has a Greek name and Greek "dishes" but there's nothing authentic about this place, right down to the staff and cooks. Lastly, I do want to point out that the staff and cooks were very very nice people, very sympathetic with our concerns, and seemed like truly great people, but that doesn't make up for the terrible experience otherwise. Edit: their compensation for royally screwing up was 1 slice of baklava, which actually tasted decent. Maybe outsourced. Double edit: upon tasting a piece of chicken from the salad, I realized that the 2 "chicken" open dinners were actually pork...so yeah, have fun with this place, consumers :-) read more

Truly a good experience. The inside is nicely decorated and the staff are inviting. Our server was prompt and friendly. Ordered the moussaka which was probably the best I've had from a Greek restaurant. The fried calamari was also delicious. Prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend this place! How this place has more than two stars is beyond me. First of all the reason I wanted to come to this place was because I seen the pictures that were posted by other yelpers and the food looked really good. Ordered pan fried calamari for appetizers and found a white curly hair in one of the calamari... We set the piece a side and did not bring this up to the waitress. Besides the hair, the calamari was pretty good as it came with a yummy dip. We ordered Lamb chops, sea food platters a beef steak something ( can't remember the exact name) and double cheese burgers for the kids that came with not fresh cut fries, but were pretty good for what one would assume were frozen fries. That beef steak dish wasn't even a steak! Pretty sure it was a couple of hamburger patty shaped into a steak. Reminded me of meatloaf. No lie. The lambchops were soo bland it's as if they didn't even season it!Honestly if the gave us that dip that came with the calamari the dish wouldn't be half bad. The sea food platter came with a fillet of fish, 3-4 PC's of shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Again very bland and not very good. Even their candy that they give you at the end isn't good! It tasted like black liquorice. Yuck. Seriously, how do you mess up candy?? The only reason it has more than one star is because the waitress was attentive and the calamari/dip. read more

I made a review on Oct 20, 2013, and for some reason, my post was taken down. I will re-post my review. Just returned from Mykonos with my bf. The service was excellent! The food.. not so much. I am not one to write reviews but had to on this restaurant. My bf read great reviews on this restaurant so we decided to go. (being out of towners). The restaurant was filled so we thought we had made an excellent choice. Anyone that suggests that this is good food does NOT know true Greek food! You do not put mozzarella cheese on a Greek salad.. it's feta.( even I know this and I'm Asian!) Nor should you ever serve yellow salad. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and my bf ordered the lamb... both which were super dry. We overheard the table next to us telling the waitress that the food was too salty. (she did not offer to take it away but said she would let the back know) For a $21 plate of "lamb", one would think the portion would be generous. Not so much either...it was more like lamb cutlets. We were still hungry after we left. I was so disappointed with the food, I was telling two guys in the parking lot not to enter the restaurant.
