Came here for my birthdays yesterday. I love trying new restaurants with all my girlfriends. Although I loved the garnish and micro greens as well as the presentation of the merry me chicken, I was not a fan of the fettuccine noodle, I like mine much thicker and there was a very small amount of chicken and shrimp like 3 or 4 small chunks. The waiter was not attentive to us we had to walk up to him to ask for dessert. I like this restaurant but on a different waiter and a different meal I feel it would have been better. Went here for Londonlicious because of the plethora of menu options. Very impressed!! Loved everything I ordered and service was great. We sat in the Runt Club because Fellini's side was full, but nonetheless, great experience and will be back!! Fellini Koolini's is a great date night restaurant as long as the noise is ok for you. It's a bit loud as it's an open dining area with hardwood floors. We ordered appetizers and entrees together and were impressed with how well our waiter paced the meal. Throughly enjoyable with delicious food. read more

Thirty years. That's how long Fellini has been around. It's like a grandma that waves to you from her window as you pass by her house. Comforting and familiar. It's been a spell since I'd been so the suggestion to go before the theatre was jumped on. We went for lunch today. Only one other table so it was nice and Bill was attentive and chatty. He did almost forget our coffees but then he didn't put them on the bill, so no worries. I had the Runt "Club" which was roasted chicken, green apple slaw, panko crusted brie, smoked ham on a soft roll. Panko. Crusted. Brie. Yes. Please. Such a delightful mix of flavours. A bit of crunch with the apple held up to the ham and chicken. And that brie just tied it all together. So yummy. I would recommend giving it a few minutes to all melt together as the chicken is in bits not a breast so you get pieces tumbling out. My side Caesar salad was a good compliment. Dessert just had to be the carrot cake after he said pineapple was involved and it was a great end to a very good lunch. Wow! This restaurant makes me feel sad now. It used to be something special but now the food seems so utterly crushed by cream sauces. I looked at the menu on line and it is altogether different than the menu present for dinner. My girl and I had several pastas for a Thursday night dinner. My girl had Linguini Carbonara; I had a variation of a Sausage Rigatoni made with chorizo. Both were big plates of blah. And, actually, I thought the protein was ground beef, not chorizo. The appetizer was a big loss too. I should have read the menu more closely. I figured snails would be done simply in the classic way: butter, garlic, and parsley. Nope, it was all drowned in another cream sauce. Maybe it's been a long season. Or maybe the restaurant has lost its way. Our server (Rachel) seemed to be going through the motions, with a personality like a turnip. It's bad when you are presented with miserable food by a really delightful server. That wasn't the case here. There are better places in Stratford than this. This is like a big block of expired Velveeta. read more

I would recommend giving this place a try! it's decently Good food with great ambience. I tried it for the Londonlicious in the depths of winter we had plenty of options to choose from. The starter was great, I had the calamari which was fried nicely! A pasta main - which was also delicious! My friend also enjoyed her main entree of meat. They have a nice selection of wines. I believe I tried the tiramisu for dessert which was delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. read more

Down a side street in London's down town district across from Victoria Park you find this little house half way down the street. With a small patio in the front and a very nice atmosphere you get to enjoy a simple yet delicious meal. I came here today with my family and we had a few items on the menu which was a good sample of what was to offer. The Mediterranean Salad was excellent with just the right amount of dressing and not over powering. The pizza was thin crust as advertised but I believe they are premaid so a small disappointment. But the pizza was done well. Veg, and flavours were great. The pastas were a mix bag. The seafood pasta was a winner and so was the plain spaghetti and sauce. The fettuccine alfredo was so so and was not very authentic in taste or consistency. It was more like a roux sauce with some cheese. When it got cold it became very hard and thick. The beer and wine selection was excellent with a very reasonable price point. The menu has some confusing elements that mixed Asian with Italian, bar wings and classic Italian. The service is great and I had a great time. A good stop in London, Ontario. Enjoy this place as a good stop in London. read more

Long story short, I would definitely recommend, and definitely come back myself. The menu is HUGE, so you are bound to like something! We came here for a work luncheon (we made reservations) and they were very efficient and even informed us that gratuity was added to the bills and we could press "no tip" when prompted! There's a party room upstairs which was already booked - but I heard its very nice and private. Something I didn't know - Runt Club is attached and is more for drinks, but you can still order food from Fellini's. As for the food, they gave us an expansive lunch menu with an equally expansive drink menu on the back! Everyone I asked enjoyed their food: mushroom fettuccini, linguine carbonara, runt club sandwich, chicken slider, tomato and prosciutto tower (I think it was prosciutto), prime rib quesadilla - all around, no complaints. Your average lunch meal, with tax and tip, should cost you around 16$ which is pretty good! read more

I may have found my favourite restaurant in London. I'm in London for school so I don't eat out often but I came here for a social gathering and it was amazing. They had these menu sets where you can get an appetizer and main course for one price. There were SO many different options!!! I started off with the brie and had a lobster linguine. Brie- it was like bruschetta minus the tomatoes and mozzarella. It was 3 pieces of bread with a thick slab of nice brie. They didn't skimp out on the cheese thats for sure! It was incredibly nicely toasted and the brie was slightly melted just as I liked because there was still some texture! There was a sweet reduction sauce on it and it complemented the cheese very well. Lobster Linguine- very clean taste and not so heavy and rich. Good pieces of lobster. The ambience was so romantic and I highly recommend this place for a date night! read more

We love pasta and happen to be pretty darned good at cooking it for ourselves - so it is rare for us to spend money at an Italian restaurant. But a lazy Saturday lunchtime is the mother of all excuses to try something new. We went in with low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The server was very friendly and did a great job engaging our nine year old. He pointed out some of the house specialties and we followed his advice. I tried Lobster Fettuccine, my wife had a smoked chicken pasta and our daughter had spaghetti. All our pastas were cooked a perfect al dente and very fresh and flavourful. We were the only people in the place, but I can imagine the vibe being pretty great at the height of the dinner rush. We'll be back at dinner, which will help us decide if we've found a restaurant that rivals our home cooking. read more

Now that I have a few visits to Fellini Koolini's under my belt, I'm able to give it a solid review. The decor is a step higher from East Side Mario's. With the bottles hanging from the ceiling and the old Hollywood paintings on the wall, it has a darker, classier feel, but still casual. The service was good. The waiter forgot the wine that one of us ordered but he had a fun personality which made up for it. I didn't like the breadsticks and the oil on the table. I'd love a bread that would soak it up, instead you just kind of roll the stick around in the oil. It just didn't seem to go together. They have a deal on their menu where you can get an app and an entree for $22 or $26. I ordered the roasted chicken spring rolls. They tasted good but I noticed the huge amount of dough that it was wrapped in. The outside was crispy and flakey but there was a lot of moist dough inside. They could have used a lot less and it would have went a long way. For the entree I got the Asiago Chicken Penne. I was pretty underwhelmed with this. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was tasty but the sauce had a really strong onion taste from the shallots. It overwhelmed the entire dish and I really didn't enjoy it much at all. Plus I finished it in about 3 minutes because there wasn't much to begin with. I had a similar experience when I got a ravioli special in the past. I was not full and was disappointed by the serving size. I'd return to Fellini's if a friend suggested it but I don't think I would go back on my own. Its an ok restaurant that is trying to be higher class. I'm not sure. Not entirely sold on it. --- Food --- Food was average. Nothing stood out to me. The lobster fettuccini I ordered was served with angel hair pasta instead. Not really sure how you mix that up.... the calamari was alright. A little bit chewy. --- Service --- They are either understaffed or slow. Can't decide. Maybe a bit of both. They're relatively friendly. --- Overall --- Went for the Tuesday date night. Its 19.99 for a pasta or pizza and a glass of wine. The pasta selection is mediocre. The wine selection wasn't great. Most likely wouldn't go back. I've been to Fellinis before for drinks. This is my first time for dinner. Went with a group of ladies I work with before attending paint nite upstairs. I had "taste of Italy" which was a menu with a starter and a main course for $22 (also had a $26 option). I choose the trio dip for my starter and the sirloin tip fettuccini with pesto and mushrooms for my main. The trio dip was good, I really enjoyed the roasted red pepper dip and the Asiago artichoke dip, the spinach/garlic/Parmesan was ok, felt like it was missing something. I liked the pita it was served with but could have done without the toasted garlic cheese sticks. The main course was an appropriate portion size, not huge. The sirloin was well cooked and tender and the pesto gave it flavour without being oily. Overall good meal, I'd go bad for sure. read more

Fellini's is a hit or miss for most people, and it was a miss for me. The restaurant itself is dimly lit which I do not like (personal preference). The menu is quite diverse, but everything is so expensive! I eventually got lasagna for $14. The lasagna was insanely salty to the point where I couldn't finish it, and the portion was smaller than I imagined. The service is alright, nothing special. Would I return to Fellini's? Probably not? Should you try Fellini's? Sure, if you enjoy expensive salty food. read more

Decor is funky throwback to 60-70s Italian joint. Checkered napkins and breadsticks and olive oil begin your experience. Food. I had a couple appetizers and salad. One appie I hoped for fresh but I suspect was frozen Salad. A Caesar for Italian restaurant. Should be perfection. Torn leaves. Properly dressed. Well unfortunately. It had stale croutons, was over dressed and cut romaine. Drinks. Not bad. Good selection of wine. A few micro brew and lots of the mainstream beers. Service was good. For a quiet intimate authentic feel. It's a fine. And in all fairness maybe the pasta and pizza are to die for. But based on other items I had. It could be better. read more

I couldn't decide on a 3 or a 4..I went with the 4 because the ambiance is quite unique and some of the dishes are more homemade then the franchises. It's quite small and congested but as I mentioned earlier a unique atmosphere. The bread stick at your table is a nice touch especially since it's a rarity in Canada. My dad had the chicken fettuccine and he said it was the best sauce he had tasted, and the Cesar salad was good. Sophi had the Baked Brie, she said it was good but expected it to be actual baked brie and not bread with brie cheese on top. I had the spagetti and meatballs, the spaghetti sauce was really good, the meat balls were small and we could not decipher if they were homemade...I like bigger meatballs and even enjoyed the Olive Garden meatballs better. Overall it was decent, but I had envisions of this classic recipe to die for meatballs. For dessert we had Apple Caramel Cheesecake, it was quite good. To be picky I think the presentation was not as good as some franchise restaurants for the cheesecake, and it they wanted to be pure authentic everything in house should have been homemade. The service was a tab slow, but overall friendly and satisfactory. We would go back again and try the baked ravioli for sure. read more

I felt that the cuisine was rushed and the meal was less than authentic. However, the service was exceptional and made the dinner enjoyable, considering it was less than a true "Italian" prepared meal. If you are looking for authentic Italian, this is not the place. Fellini's is a definite go-to when I'm after comfort food. The cheesy decor and complimentary bread sticks put a smile on my face, and the service has always been excellent. You'd have to be a fool not to try the Baked Brie or Pancetta Wrapped Scallops at least once - if you don't like at least once of these then you'd be well-advised to take your taste buds to a professional for a rigorous assessment. Over the years I've flirted with numerous items on the menu but I always return to my tried-and-true love, the Pasta Architect: fettuccine with blush sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, shrimp and scallops. It never fails to impress, except that the portion has diminished somewhat in contrast to the price. This place gets pretty spendy once you factor in appetizers and drinks. I'd give you five sexy stars except for the rising prices, and the fact that the decor was looking somewhat bedraggled upon my last visit. The decor is charmingly kitsch but some of the furniture, flooring, etc, may have seen better days. read more

It's always nice when a restaurant lays out weapons for you on the table, but when you realize that they are breadsticks and you are supposed to consume these long stakes poles of sadness, your expectations lower. The hostess saw my party of three and decided that she hated us since she places us upstairs in a room filled with people standing around (they were there for a guys 40th birthday). Nothing gets my hunger going like people crowding around my table talking loudly and making it hard to make my own conversation. Truly a good start. I orders the carbonara and what I got was a of plain handmade pasta. While I could clearly see the sauce and the herbs that were present on the dish, that didn't seem to equate to any sort of taste. Thinking that I had gone mad, I asked my friends to try it and they both agreed that my meal was indeed the saddest of them all. I had a lovely "date" here with my son. The bartender was wonderful - as we waited for a table, he showed my son how to make his own virgin caesar. They provide complimentary breadsticks with an olive oil dip. I'm not a big fan, but then I don't like crunchy bread. They do look very nice, though! The food was great and the portions were just right - had a small box of take-out left after appetizers and our meals. Evening snack! They did a great job with the veggies. If I could make veggies that delicious, my son would have no problem eating them! We will definitely be back, especially given their close proximity to downtown. I have been to Fellini Koolini's multiple times in the past so I had high expectations for last night's meal. I was not disappointed. My sister and I were confused when there was no menu of girly blender drinks for us to have. The waiter (Bill) recommended a sweet slightly bubbly wine for us to try. He also brought a glass over with a tasting sized portion for us to try. The wine was delicious, he also told us the name and the retail price at the LCBO. Our appetizers were delicious. The garlic bread was extra cheesy and extra garlicky (just the way I like it!). My sister and boyfriend shared the lobster & grab cakes, the portion (two cakes) was a bit small but they both raved about them. My caesar salad was perfect! Lots of dressing, real bacon and homemade croutons made a difference! I also love the breadsticks and oil at the table, but it can be really tempting to full up on those! I ordered the Garlic Chicken Canneloni which was amazing. The portion was quite large and there were large chunks of chicken inside the pasta. It was nice and hot when it arrived to the table. My sister and boyfriend ordered the Seafood Linguini, which came with lobster, shrimp and scallops. Not my cup of tea but they are both still raving about how delicious the dish was. Stopped in for a dinner with five people without as reservation at 8:30 on a Friday night. We were seat immediately, but the place was full (making a reservation would be a good idea)........and loud. The food was very well prepared and reasonably priced (10 oz. NY Strip for $22.95, most pasta dishes between $12-20). The service was slow, but very pleasant.....did I mentioned it was loud? One of our diners has severe food alergies and the chef went out of his way to be sure that all of the sensitivities were avoided. (Salmon, steamed vegies, oil roasted potatoes, all wonderful). Don't look for a sign when you're trying to find this place because there isn't one. read more

Located in nice part of downtown. Reminds me of the Il Giardino, in terms of being in a 'house', though not as fine dining, but still, upper-class casual. ordered the bacon wrapped scallop, boy, that was pretty tasty, bacon burnt right along the edges for the flavour, and moist scallops. came w/ a nice garden salad but the highlight was the garlic butter dipping sauce. even sipped it too ;) The cocktail sauce was also there, but pretty bulky for what it's worth. This is a great restaurant in London. Good prices compared to some of the downtown Italian-alternatives, and the food never disappoints. The atmosphere and service is also great whether you're going on a romantic date for two or bringing kids along. Last time I went we had the skillet mushrooms and tuscan trio dip for an appetizer. I LOVE the Fettuncini Primavera, lots of places seem to make a primavera completely differently, but Fellini's is creamy and fresh with lots of peppers and veggies. The carbonara and angelhair also come recommended by my sister. The "Pasta Architect" or "Pizza Architect" menu feature that allows you to pick a pasta, sauce, meat and veggies is a great option for kids and otherwise picky eaters. You can't go wrong with Fellini Koolini's, I think there is something on the menu that everyone will enjoy and the prices and portions are quite reasonable. read more

Top notch italian food for great prices. This place is a true find in London as far as restaurants go. Very unique building inside and out it seems like two huge victorian houses converted into a great concept. Great spot for romantic dining as well as large group bookings as the upper level has multiple rooms that can be booked for parties. Food is great too- I've yet to be disappointed by any meal I've had- Last time I was there I tried the asiago chicken and it was perfect. Run by the same people that own Jim Bob's and Joe Kools, Fellini Koolini's is a great alternative to the downtown Italian restaurants in London. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. If there is a line at Fellini Koolini's or it is just really packed, go next door to the Runt Club (same food, different building) and you will get the exact same food delivered from next door through a hallway-bridge sort of thing that connects the two buildings. The service has always been excellent and the food has always been prepared nicely, the only complaint I have is that when it's packed, your food will take a while to get to your table; especially if you choose to eat at the Runt Club instead. Take it with a grain of salt though, you won't be disappointed. read more

Great food, great service, good ambience. We had the Tuscan Trio appetizer. I had the Pepper Scallop Fettuccine - excellent! We were too full for dessert. This restaurant is in an older house. There are bottles of chianti hanging from the ceiling and liquor/mixer bottles in the windows. There is a lot of unique artwork on the walls, including at print of Mona Lisa in 70s-style glasses. The breadsticks are dry and don't soak-up the olive oil very well, but everything else was fantastic. The waiter was funny & friendly. He wrote "Breakfast of Champions" on our leftover box. Not the best Italian restaurant that I've been to - but not the worst. 1. The complimentary breadsticks to start don't go well with the oil dip - much prefer a loaf of bread. 2. Ordered the sirloin tip fettuccine. The pasta was very dry - It's a pesto oil sauce and in my experience these are not typically so dry. It was so dry that my noodles just kind of clumped together. However, the mushrooms and sirloin were seasoned very nicely and were the saving grace of this dish. 3. The brie raspberry app - the brie and bread was good I could do with a sauce that is not so sweet. It was missing something. I've heard really good things about this restaurant and would like to give it another chance - perhaps the entree I ordered just wasn't a good representation of the rest of the menu! read more

Well worth the trip to London. After a visit last spring I couldn't wait to return this year. I had the pork tenderloin roasted potatoes and vegetables. In a word wonderful. A Mediterranean starter salad that was a very nice size. People in my party had the chicken stuffed with asiago cheese and pasta. Everyone was very pleased. read more

Absolutely fantastic. Had the rib eye steak with ravioli and vegetables with the side of muscles and my buddy had the veal marsala with a side of brie on toast. Ravioli was incredible, and the steak as well, especially with the ravioli's sauce. Vegetables were cooked perfect. Crisp but not undercooked. Cheesecake was fluffy and creamy, not like a brick like you would in most places. My buddy's veal was good but he said he preferred the seafood pasta (tutti something?) The brie on bread was good but the Berry sauce on top somehow doesn't seem to fit. The complimentary breadsticks and oil were nice, but a softer bread of some sort that can absorb the herbs and oil would be preferred. This is the 2nd time I've been here and I will be back here again. read more

great vibe here, feels classy without being too uptight. once the night settles in the restaurant fills up pretty quickly and the atmosphere becomes really nice and soothing while keeping an up-beat feel. they use a lot of underaged servers here whom clearly lack the experience; while clearing out a nearby table, the waitress accidentally flings a bottle cap when pulling the table clothe and she clearly notices this but quickly looks away - I'm just like WTF. Talking to them feels slightly awkward like they don't understand what I'm trying to say when putting down an order. Planned to go last night, called an hour in advance and asked if there would be space or if we could make a reservation. They said no need for a reservation, "just come and we'll have a table for you". we cancelled our reservation at another restaurant and came to Fellini's. Got there and were turned away the door.
