The place Is very welcoming and comfortable. I have seen Egypt on both of my visits here for a consultation first and then for my ombré touch up and color correction. I appreciated that Egypt listened to what I was looking for and his advise of how to get the best of my hair withouth damage it (my hair was super damage from others salons). He is absolutely fantastic. No one has ever been able to actually achieve the blonde I have always wanted until I came to him, He has amazing hair skills,and extremly friendly sweet nice and caring! Hair cuts on Sobe ? Maybe a nightmare but not here:) so if you're like me a good hair cut is hard to come by even when you do pay an arm and a leg . So I tend to stick to the same person for as long as I can . After bad hair cut after bad hair cut I was lucky enough to meet the talented dude I've heard people talk about around the beach. I have been going to Egypt for years after i saw the numerous reviews for a previous salon he worked at mentioned how great he was. He pays great attention to detail, remembers how you like your hair cut and never lets you walk out of that chair until you are 100% satisfied. It's really hard to find this caliber of service in Miami. The location for the salon is fantastic. Central to South Beach for the locals and easy access to the causeway if you are coming outside of the beach. The free parking is super convenient. The salon is clean and the staff there is friendly. I found an offer on Living Social for Mykutz and decided to try it- I checked out some of the online reviews and saw that Egypt, who cut my husband's hair at a previous salon, was the owner! Already I was sold. Then I had my haircut with Daniel - Incredible! My hair was a disastrous jumble of mismatched layers and split ends. Daniel cleaned it up and gave it some style and shape- I love it! The salon is tucked away on a quiet street close to 5th & Alton. The salon atmosphere was serene and calming. Small & intimate. What a great cool place! Free parking, great music playing in a relaxed atmosphere. I sat down and described how I would like my hair cut. The guy who cut my hair was named Egypt and he got EXACTLY what I described how I wanted. Rarely has that happened when I get my hair cut. The vibe inside was cool, calm and collective. The friendly banter was fun to listen to and it seemed like there were a few regulars there. That is always a good sign. I will definitely be back again! I've had two people cut my hair in my life..My mom growing up and Egypt since i moved to Miami 8 years ago. Real talk. Until 2 years ago, went to him at his old salon once a month and then last 2 years as he freelanced @ different locations until he finally opened this GEM he's been working on for a year strong.
