He fraudulently bills insurance companies for days you were not ever in his office. He billed my insurance company for a day I wasn't there. Dr. Klug did it to me, so I'm sure he did it to all of his patients. On June 15, 2012, I went to Dr. David Klug's office for a follow-up visit. On this visit, I had a heated encounter with Dr. Klug. I confronted him as to why I waited over an hour for him to come to see me. He got really nasty and started talking down to me. Bottom line, Dr. Klug told me, "If I didn't like it, I could leave." Which is exactly what I did. I stormed out of the office, called him a 'explicative', and slammed the door. Dr. Klug's behavior was very unprofessional, arrogant, nasty, and down right unacceptable. Dr. Klug needs to learn how to speak with his patients appropriately, and not talk down to them, as if, at least in my case, like my thoughts and opinions is meaningless. Even though he did not see me, Dr. Klug made sure to bill me for this visit, in which he didn't even see me. I knew to check my EOB (Explanation of Benefits), because I used to work for an eye doctor, and sure enough this louse billed my insurance company for the day he kicked me out. I immediately contacted my insurance company, and they investigated, and Dr. David Klug had to return the money that was paid to him. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN DR. DAVID KLUG'S OFFICE AGAIN. Also, a friend of mine used to go to Dr. David Kug, but she stopped because he was billing her insurance company outrageous amounts for procedures. He charged her insurance company over $5,000, for a procedure. Problem is, I had the same procedure the month before, and my insurance wasn't charge nearly that much. Basically, Dr. David Klug is a louse. He is an arrogant person, who obviously believes his time is more valuable than mine. Never trust a doctor that never looks you in the eyes. If you do not want to be treated like you are nothing, and have your insurance company outrageously billed, than I suggest you stay away from DR. DAVID KLUG!!!!!! I would suggest that all of his patients carefully check their Explanation of Benefits from their insurance companies, and I have no doubt that you will see that you were billed for a day you weren't there, or , for an outrageous amount. He is also very personable and knows his patients' Issues & difficulties. He absolutely does "follow through" and demonstrates his caring attitud. He also performs endoscopies & laproscopies as needed. I have total faith in his abilities! Since Weill Cornell started their appointment service, speaking with the phone person isn't personal, more robotic. However, I endure this process in order to get an appointment with Dr Silvera.

I remember once coming in to see Dr. Hentek with a chest and sinus infection. She saw me, gave me a perscription and left the office. When she came back in the exam room, she noticed I was in pain and couldn't stand. She asked me about it and wrote me a perscription for that as well. . Dr. Hentek saw that I was in pain and treated me for that distress. I'm thankful for her genuine concern. I realized that it didn't occur to me to ask her about anything for my back because I'd been told that the pain would pass by another physician and that I should just take Alieve. I'm a person of color and as such, I've experienced doctors who are hesitant to perscribe pain medication so I subconsiously didn't ask even though I was in the doctor's office. I have changed general physicians though. I had a visit with Dr. Hentek after I'd lost a significant amount of weight 30+ lbs. Dr. Hentek made a comment to me about making an effort to loose more. I shared my regiment and told her about the results I'd had in the previous months and instead of suggesting alternate options she just told me about the negative effects of excess weight and told me to loose more. Of course I have some idea of the negative effects of excess weight otherwise I wouldn't have embarked on the effort I did to loose the weight I had. Physically the doctor is larger than I am so I felt she should be a little more sensitive and construct in offering feedback on weightloss. I was pretty insulted so I'm no longer seeing Dr. Hentek. Women if you're a size 14 or above; you might want to see another doctor.

Going to the Paramus office comes with a friendly greeting at the door. I like the whole experience. I would highly recommend Dr Kovatis. He will be the one who sees me through my next operation. When you go to the Paramus office you will see all of Dr Kovatis's awards. It's not too shabby. He has been the top doc for years . I was operated on by another Dr who screwed up my feet. And Dr Kovatis will be the one to fix it.

She then said "well, we can work with people. How about $400? Or $300?" The $500 sounds like a racket as it is but to haggle with you over a membership fee that a doctor SHOULD NOT BE CHARGING FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE reeked of sketch. Regardless, I trust the doctor that recommended Dr. Gilbert implicitly so I said that I'd be willing to pay the $300. The woman then told me to call my insurance to make sure that their office accepts my insurance. At that point, I asked her if I should be doing all of her work for her. "Isn't it YOUR job to make sure that you take my insurance?" Only then did she say she would try and call but she's "very busy and do not have all day to spend on the phone with insurance companies." She called back the next day to tell me that she couldn't get in touch with my insurance and that I'd have to do it myself. I don't care if Dr. Gilbert can cure cancer, HIV and dementia, the impression I get from her hired help is that she's a snake oil salesman hiding behind a membership fee. I'm not looking for a gym. I'm looking for a doctor. I looked elsewhere and so should you.

Unfortunately, her office just called to notify me about a $200 yearly membership fee, that would be due at the time of my first appointment. I've had this appointment for months, but they only gave me 10 days notice about a charge, not covered by insurance, to see a doctor who, despite the positive reviews, I'm not sure I'll like. It's like being surprised with a $200 copay that negates the point of having insurance. So disappointing... I'm sure she's a wonderful physician and me having to cancel my appointment is my loss, but new and current patients should be warned (with more than 10 days) that this office is charging everyone this fee going forward. This office should also not be listed on my insurance as in-network, because this yearly fee betrays the spirit of that.

He took his time and my appointment was 30 minutes. I came to him from a horrible experience with another doctor that gave me wrong medication, and made my symptoms worst. Dr Messer took his time to examined me and explained what was wrong with me. During my treatment when I called him to ask him a question, he would call me right away. Very attentious and professional. I recommend him 100%!!
