Disappointed with how the Helen MT theater location never brings in the Christian films…read more If they do happen to show them they are only running for 3-4 days at best with very limited show times being available. In the past month, two very good movies: He Calls Me Daughter which was never even shown. And The Great Awakening which will only be shown for 5 days and for only afternoon movie times, No evenings times were offered This theater seems to have a lot of horror and small child themed flicks over all. It would be nice to see more family friendly films that cater to the "whole" family being offered , Instead of constant Horror and small children themed flicks being the main movie choices running for multiple weeks.

The location is conveniently within Great Northern Town Center, so parking was a breeze and makes it easy to grab a bite before or after the movie. You buy movie tickets at the concession stand here, which I think could cause a line to form on busy days. It would be nice if there was a kiosk to buy tickets from. The movie-watching experience itself is good as they have stadium seating in the auditorium, which is more comfortable than regular movie theater seats. I think this is probably the best place to view a movie in Helena, based on the facilities and number of movies playing.

We are setting up in my truck and was trying to figure out the radio. That is when some kid on a scooter came and started harassing us about my AUTOMATIC truck light (in the bed on the truck only) being on while he can actively see we are trying to figure out the radio. About 2 minutes later he came back, as we were waiting for the automatic lights to turn off, and started harassing us further. Almost yelling at us practically to turn them off when the previews were still on and no other light was on. Many other people had their actual headlights and taillights on, while we had one small light above the truck bed which was about to turn off automatically. Overall, we felt targeted and harassed, and will not be back. Note ( as we were leaving early, many others had a truck bed light on, without confrontation)

One of the best nights on my vacation to Montana was spent at the Silver Bow drive-in. The picture looked just as bright and bold as any movie theater screen, only you can watch the film from the comfort of your own car! Some teens parked in a pick-up truck behind us had the great idea of watching the movie from the back of the truck in sleeping bags. On cool Montana nights, it really doesn't get any better. Pair your movie with real buttered popcorn, candy, and soda, and you have an inexpensive, authentic American experience. Why go to a multiplex when you can watch a film in the great outdoors and watch a movie by moonlight? If you have never been to a drive-in, it's about time you got out there. Films start at dusk, and they mean it. There was only one preview when we saw "Wolverine," and they didn't start the movie until dark. Don't forget to turn off your headlights!

I called the Inn to let them know and they were more than understanding, saying that their restaurant would still be open by the time of our arrival and that they would have a glass of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. We did not arrive until 10:00 PM and received a warm greeting and as promised, the bartender was ready to pour us a glass of wine. We were able to sip it on the lovely outdoor eating area and fall asleep on the most comfortable bedding. Seriously, the beds here are magic. Rooms are very small and do not have A/C. Simply opening the window will suffice to bring in some cool air. Each wing has a communal bathroom. Bathrooms have all amenities needed moreover; each room has a cute bag of travel toiletries per bed. The building itself is both charming and formidable. While I see its potential, it is lacking in some upkeep and restoration. This the only downside. Something to note, there is a train that passes quite frequently and can be heard during all hours. This did not phase me in the slightest because of the wine. My favorite part by far was breathing in the fresh air and exploring the grounds in the early morning. The sky was beautiful and I managed to get in some pretty special photographs. It seriously put a smile on my face to see pigs roaming around and chickens out being chickens... With that being said, I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in the area.
