    The salad
    Maritza ..

I have been coming here the past three years in November for my boyfriend's marine corps ball. The sitting is well place overall nice atmosphere for a ball. The servers were well mannered and quick to clean. Not sure who is in charge of the menu but the vegetarian option honestly isn't the best. I literally can't express how much I despise the stuffed peppers. At least the quinoa and rice were edible this year unlike the past two years but I did dropped one of my peppers and it got in the floor because it was slippery on my plate. The salad offered was good. The quinoa and rice the previous years were hard and not soft. The extra veggies were gushy and inedible for my part. I am not sure if the Sheraton provides the meals but overall the food is gross to me. Another issue is that there has to be a better way to know when individuals get the meals because being that there is only one photographer my bf and I wanted to be the first to take pictures that way we could enjoy the ball and not wait in line . When we came back to get our food the servers thought we had gotten our meals, even though it was still during the meal time on the agenda. Another issue not sure if the photographer are contracted by the conventional center but they aren't the best at coordinating poses and the photos could be better.

Here for a three day conference. Ample parking available although there is a daily charge (with reentry privileges). It's an older convention center and has problems with temperature control. In addition it is difficult to navigate. The room numbers, multiple levels and confusing hallways can make it frustrating looking for conference sessions. Dealt with set-up event coordinator for only one event in exhibition area. Seems there was major communication problems among staff. The food served was not as good as the servers working, all of whom I found pleasant and professional. I am not excited to return to Myrtle Beach when this conference rotates back to SC. Seems this may be the largest convention center in the state so we don't have much choice for our large group. It's okay and I would not stay away from the conference because of this location.

Marnie is the best; she helped with every aspect of the planning all the way up to and through the wedding day. She helped in coordinating the ceremony and the reception. Being from out of state it was great having someone I could rely on to recommend places (hair salon, florist, cake, etc) within my budget. Marnie was great with answering any questions or concerns I had. She really knows her stuff. The food is delicious, trust me I've had it several times. I would definitely recommend The Cooper House for any celebration, even if it means traveling 7 hours to get there.

As soon as we got down here, a last minute bomb cyclone struck and left us to abandon our plans. Luckily, The Cooper House was available and these guys salvaged our wedding. My bride and all our guests were stunned at how beautiful the property was. We were able to have the ceremony in the old general store. The lighting, chairs, and overall ambiance was perfect. They even left us water and champagne for a toast! We were allowed to take pictures on the grounds (and we did when we got a break from the rain) and the place is gorgeous. I cannot stress how pleased I am with how it turned out with only 24 hours of planning. I can't even imagine how much better it would be with more planning. I highly recommend this place and thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping a complete stranger out.

She checked on us many times and made sure we were satisfied with every little thing. We found pretty, fun hats to try on for pictures. The table scape was lovely and the china beautiful. There was the cutest piece atop the water glass that looked like a bird. In it was a lemon slice that you squeezed and then poured the lemon juice into your water. What a wonderful touch. They have warmers in place to hold your tea pot to keep warm. I tried the hot cinnamon spice tea and it was lovely. Full of flavor and so fragrant. We tried the tomatoe bisque soup which was full of flavor and nice and warm. We enjoyed a nice salad with the secret homemade dressing. The 3 tier stand with all the goodies was wonderful. The presentation with ribbons and roses was elegant and inviting. We sampled lovely tea sandwiches, scones and Madeline cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. The scones were warm and delish filled with cranberries and white chocolate. I believe the best scone I've ever tried. My favorite little sandwich was the cranberry bread filled with a cream cheese spread with Kaluha, maple and walnuts. OMG! Absolutely loved our tea today and will return near Christmas time as they change up the menu several times per year. This was an enjoyable and delicious experience.

For…read moreyears, I've wanted to visit for night of a thousand candles and it was sold out each year. It seems after much frustration, they did something different this year and had openings so I booked over thanksgiving. I planned to leave a bit earlier but we decided to leave closer to 5 and what would normally be a 30-40 min drive was about an hour and a half. The traffic was backed up, which is no surprise but there is likely improvements that can be done here-- like checking tickets at gates rather than another option. We also had a handicap decal but no one directed where it would be, I guess we had to ask or notify sooner. Once we got through the gates, we were moving. Parking was quite a bit away which was challenging for my mom who has some hip issues. We got in, no issue and I was concerned about making it all the way through but there's plenty of time to slow down and enjoy. The had hot chocolate which was the perfect touch of a freeezing night, as well as alcoholic options. The indoor train exhibition is also a must see! Overall, I would highly recommend, it was absolutely beautiful and an experience to ring in the holidays. Get there early to enjoy and make sure to check for tickets and follow for when they go on sale!

The entire experience was so well organized, and everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful. Walking through the lights was mesmerizing. It's such a special experience and truly something people of all ages can enjoy. So grateful we got to experience it--absolutely worth it and something I'll never forget.

My wife and I received a gift certificate as a wedding gift and decided to go on Tuesday June 24th. We chose the test kitchen which samples wines with three foods. First of all, we chose the VIP seats, which were $85 each as opposed to the house seats which are $75 each. I'm still trying to figure out what I got for the extra $20 when we were seated further away from the Chef than anyone else. Then I was disappointed to find out that the owner had given the day off to her entire staff because of a big event the day before. So effectively, we were in the "hangover" category for customers. I have no concern about a special event the day before, but it should not affect the service and the presentation of the food, and right off the bat I felt like we were getting short changed because everybody was given a day off. Next, all we got was a salad and a serving of wine, then a piece of flatbread with a little bacon and potatoes on it and a serving of wine, then another salad, which was cucumber slices with some whipped cheese on top, and a serving of wine. I was expecting three distinct dishes instead of a couple of salads and an appetizer. She did give us some pasta salad to go that was left over from the previous event as well as a sample container (ala lunchables) which had some chicken salad, watermelon, grapes, and Gouda cheese. She also threw in a small dessert. Honestly, I would've done better at a deli at Publix, where we could've gotten something equivalent along with a bottle of wine and still saved $100. After leaving, I felt like we needed to go through a drive-through fast food restaurant to actually have a meal. This was definitely not worth $170. I would've much rather spent that at a restaurant and had a full meal with a bottle of wine. Maybe my experience was not good because of the event the day before, but I can only judge it by the time that we were there. Maybe it's like this every time which is why I'm writing this review. If it's not like this every time then why were we short changed? Not recommending this to anyone. Thankful for the gift from my son and his wife, but the money could've been better used elsewhere.
