Very clean and friendly front desk. We did not go to pool area, too many kids. Location was great. Has several places to eat next to it. Great places to get a drink in the evening. You can walk straight onto beach next to pier, no steps. The hotel has a access but old wooden steps with grass around it to use. Would be great to make a ramp instead. Parking good on both sides of hotel. Most of rooms have a ocean view balcony. Elevator on ground floor to check in on 2nd floor. A few vending things and nice sitting area. Negative was they opened up a drain into the ocean after it had rained. So it made it hard to walk the beach. I had never seen this at another beach. They dug trenches down into sand. Definitely spoiled the beach vibe.

Inlet sports lodge was a deal and close by so it worked out well. The best idea I had was to also make a reservation at Costa which is their onsite restaurant. You don't need to worry about drinking and the dinner was phenomenal (separate review for Costa coming soon). While I was only there a short time, I could really see that this one off hotel is a great stay. The lady who checked me in was super helpful and got us everything we needed. They sell snacks and alcoholic beverages at the front desk and you can even get 6 packs or bottles of wine. We only had about an hour after the lights to check in and get to dinner so we quickly went to the room and got settled. The first thing you notice is the big wooden doors to the room that look hand carved. The rooms are really spacious and have a full kitchen setup and living room area with a pull out couch too. We missed breakfast, but they do offer something downstairs. We did go up to check out the widows walk on the roof though which would be great to have drinks at the end of the day in the summer. You can see the pool from up there (which we also didn't use because it was december) and it was small but nice. Some of the upgrades seemed out of place, but not in a bad way. More like someone who had a lot of money created this place, but had never built a hotel before so they put money into it in some strange ways. Things like the wooden carved doors, extra shower sprayers, and vessel sinks in the bathroom don't exactly make sense for an affordable stay spot, but are a welcome additions anyway. As a result, I suffered a back injury that caused significant pain and ultimately required surgical intervention. Publicly available guest reviews indicate that the issue I experienced is not isolated, but part of a broader and recurring pattern within Sandpiper Run units at Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort. Multiple reviewers describe mattresses as worn, structurally compromised, or uncomfortable, including reports of beds with "a huge dip in the center" and others where guests could feel "nothing but springs," resulting in back pain during their stay. Additional reviews note beds falling apart. This was not a matter of comfort--it was a condition that should have been identified and corrected before renting the unit. The issue was reported, and while a representative responded, Doug Gordan, there was no meaningful resolution or indication that the condition would be addressed. This experience raises serious concerns about property inspection standards and guest safety. I strongly recommend that future renters verify the condition of beds and furnishings before booking.

It was unsettling to leave and return to the unit, as the hallways and staircases were filled with webs and spiders that we had to walk through. We resorted to using a broom each time we exited just to avoid being bitten or entangled. Additionally, the carpet was in the hall was in poor condition--filthy, heavily stained, and emitting unpleasant odors. It is evident that the building is not being cleaned on a regular basis, which is especially disappointing given that guests are paying for a comfortable vacation stay. We informed the owners about the dust in the unit and they apologize and refunded the cleaning fee, Also, we informed the owners about the halls and stairs, who acknowledged that this has been an ongoing issue. This level of maintenance and cleanliness is unacceptable and needs to be addressed promptly.

I was charged a different amount than when I checked out. When I called the hotel, they told me my reservation showed up through Expedia. I called Expedia and they had no record of the reservation. I found my reservation and called that booking number. They couldn't find it either. When I finally (after 15 phone calls) found someone who could speak to me; they told me there were damages to the room after I left. When I called the hotel back they told me there were no damages to that room, even thought they couldn't find my reservation. I'm not sure who is to blame but I am not happy with the entire situation.

Beautiful ocean front views, easy access to the beach, and convenient to restaurants, fishing piers, and family fun! Again, the building is 35 years old, has withstood many hurricanes, and has areas that are a little outdated, however if you find an independent owner, that has upgraded their unit, you'd never know it was that old. ***Recommendation*** Find an independent owner to rent your getaway! Most independent owners have upgraded their units and take pride in their places! Services/Companies that have multiple units are the ones you see & hear of issues with their units! These are the "hustle in and hustle out" units. I own #604, am very picky of who I let rent my "home away from home". We've upgraded to hardwood linoleum floors, fresh paint throughout, new doors, new over/under washer & dryer, upgraded the kitchen and appliances, upgraded bathrooms, a king bed in master, 2 singles in small bedroom, and a fold out couch. This was our first stay at Waters Edge condos and it may be the last stay as well. The price we…read morepaid here was about the same for a one bedroom that we have paid for two bedrooms. The bedroom is on the street side of the building and was not large enough for any bed larger than a queen. The condo was clean and we did not have any major problems. They have two elevators which worked OK when we needed to move up and down. We had heard about two other buildings had broken ones from people renting on the tenth floor.
