Worst experience. First time there so I asked if I could eat the loaded Texas twisted fries while driving. Asked if they were a French fry. He said yes it's easy to eat. There was barely any bacon and cheese. Only on the top so after first layer there was plain potato chips. Not fries. Couldn't east with a fork and not while driving. Called to express the situation since it was almost $12 for potato cops and he just read what it said in the menu. Said he should let Oriole know it's potato cops not fries. He read the menu again. We have been to this little shack on 1187 a couple of different times in the last month or 2 both times we ordered burgers which were absolutely outstanding, juicy and cooked perfectly with just the right amount of extras on the burgers. My husband, baby boy, and I went today for the first time and it was delicious! My husband has the double bacon cheeseburger. I got the jalapeño bacon ranch burger and shared a large basket of fries. Yum yum yum yum yum and yum! Tried Myrtle's for the first time on the recommendation of my fellow yelpers (thank you, fellow yelpers!). This place is not your typical fast food place and the burgers are possibly better than anywhere near here that I've been so far. The juicy, thick patty was not dry and cooked to death, had perfect seasoning, had beautiful thick cut smoked bacon, a soft fluffy bun lightly grilled, fresh veggies...and all put together, it was extremely delish!! The crinkle cut fries were perfect as well - nice and crispy and salted just right. So good!!! Don't miss out on the chili cheese dog either - it was amazing! Finally got a chance to try it out awhile back. Two of us went for lunch one day. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, with onion rings and a drink. Burgers are made fresh so it took about ten minutes or so to get our order. The burgers are made with huge patties. It was a pretty good burger, it had a little char but not enough to make it burned. It was obviously a little well done, but with the way they make them, it wasn't dry at all. I was surprised, because in some cases like this with a huge patty, sometimes they taste like a glob of meat. Some decent seasoning. Still pretty juicy, with the size of the patty and all the stuff they put on it, it starts falling apart on you about halfway through. It wasn't that big a deal, it still held together enough I could eat it. The onion rings were frozen, but cooked well, nothing exciting there. Other person had gotten a double cheese, and they barely finished it. The crinkle fries are frozen also, but at least they have some tasty seasoning on them. Anyway, the burgers are really good, and they're huge, sides frozen but cooked well, but still a little boring. Four stars for the burger, but my complaint is the pricing. $10 for my burger, add onion rings, and a fountain drink, it was almost $20. I'd be happier with a smaller burger that didn't gut bomb me for the rest of the day, and would allow me to eat more of the onion rings which didn't even get half eaten. The value is a little off, more than I would like. Still might come back from time to time, but I was hoping for a place I would look forward to going to. read more

02/15/2020 Saturday 2:00 pm. I am sad to say that we will not be returning to Myrtles. The service was wonderful. Sadly, the burger was very greasy black juice coming from burger. The oil from the grill. Gross. The burger wasn't bad it just wants anything special. So disappointed. I have been craving a burger for a week and was so looking forward to an amazing Myrtles burger. We had the tots which were okay as well but I don't come for the tots. Not sure if they changed ownership but just wasn't the same great quality and flavor. The pictures are from my visit years ago. I got a double cheeseburger and the Texas loaded ribbons. The food came in about 10 minutes and looked really good. The ribbons are basically nachos with bacon. It was a lot of food and 3 of us couldn't finish it. It was good and interesting as they were potato chips. The burger was big and a good size. Today 7/7/2023 I got my last burger from here not only was the meat burned the lettuce and tomatoes were grilled until wilted. The customer service was much better this time. They remembered when we had an order that was not correct last time and instead of being ugly about it, they were very polite and made sure that our order was exactly what it needed to be. Our food was good, everything was correct. The burger wasn't burnt and the bacon was just right. I recommend getting the bun on the side if you're getting it to go to make sure that nothing turns up soggy on your way home. I'm glad that we gave them another chance and put the mishap behind us!
