Hadn't been to Best Burger Barn in a long time, but the burger still holds up. I got the cheeseburger and it was really good -- fresh meat, fresh toppings, and just a solid classic burger. Mine had romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and mustard, and everything tasted fresh. Kincaid's is still my #1 and Marty B's near Argyle is #2 for me, but Best Burger Barn is a strong #3 and still in my top 5 burgers. Only downside is the inside could use a little updating since it feels a bit run down. But if you're going for the burger, it's definitely worth it. read more

Well I brought my husband back and as I figured he likes this place as much as I do. We had onion rings which are good enough to place on the reorder list. These are beer battered which typically I'm not a big fan of but these are really good. The onions are sliced big which again not generally a fan but they are good! Cheese curds were good as well. I had them last time. This time they were just past the perfectly cooked point cuz the cheese had oozed out to where they all were about half hollowed out. But still good and did not have an over cooked grade by any means. We would order again as well. I am happy with a hamburger all the way and get the senior /kids burger and it's plenty big enough since I eat curds and onion rings ( and cobbler). His double meat was cooked perfectly and both were dressed nicely and with care which we appreciate staff taking the time to do. Waitstaff had great timing. Again one staff for the room and they do an excellent job handling everyone. Our order can exactly when and how we requested. We did get pecan cobbler to go and blackberry cobbler to eat here. I would probably pass on the blackberry next time. Can't say about the pecan yet. It can out of the fridge and seemed to have been in there for a few days. There was condensation dripping inside and it was ice cold. And it kinda had a soupy texture, but not from blackberry liquid if you know what I mean, but rather from sitting in the fridge and collecting condensation They also season with cinnamon it tasted like which would not be my choice if I was making it. I have been to this place a few time, their regular burgers are okay, but I don't like that you have to order fries or onion rings separately. Burgers should come with fries, especially for those prices. I have also tries the fried mushrooms those are very good. The fried zucchini is a little too greasy for me. hey do have several options on their burgers including a veggie burger. I haven't really tried any of those. I have not tried any of the salads or chicken sandwiches. You should give it a try if you live close. I can't comment on the service or the ambiance since I have always ordered through grubhub. read more

Have not been here in a a couple of years so thought we would give it a try. Had the cheese burger with the hand cut fries. The burger patty was smaller than I recall which was smaller than the bun. The fries were good but again not as good as I remember from years ago. It just may be I have been to burger places that's just that much better but it was still good. Oh my goodness!! Some of the best burgers I've ever tasted! My favorite is the Uncle Cheezee. For the cheese lovers out there....look at that cheese skirt! It's as amazing as you would expect. Kinda a mixed review. First time I came, was fantastic. Food was good, server was attentive. The second time, ordered basically the same thing. My gravy came out cold, had to be microwaved, my fries were piping hot but soggy (asked for extra crispy), and toppings missing from my burger that I hadn't asked to be removed. Also the server seemed completely on their own in the back area so she was unable to get around and offer refills or see how our food was (had to wave her down about the gravy). read more

The quality of the food ends up not being consistent. Some days the food will be perfect, others the food will be burnt. Definitely don't get the fries, they almost always come out undercooked. First off, I really don't enjoy giving a bad review and to be fair on this one, I am aware of new ownership that just has bought the place, so I am hoping for some great improvements. Currently and for the last several years when new management was hired the food quality took a turn for the worst. The hamburgers used to be really great before new management took over and the other food was good also. But once the change was made the hamburger are just tasteless and greasy and the other food the same. I really hate to post this review as I don't want to let everyone know how great this place is and helping be the cause of long wait times to sit down but..... Looking for something different for lunch and we stumbled across The Best Burger Barn in Egan. Decided to give it a try and was definitely surprised. Lunch atmosphere was good and our server Suzy really helped with suggestions which we went with. Suzy was very attentive and checked in often to ensure all was good and that our drinks were topped off. Wife had the Texas Philly cheese steak along with the sweet potato fries and of course as Suzy said the white gold home made ranch dressing. I got to experience this food since day one of the owner cooking In a small shed. Safe to say I grew up with these meals. As the space grew the food did slightly change but not much. I love the people and service even though it may be slow at times is always worth the wait to hang out and catch up. The food has always been delicious and for some time, was a go to for my team at work. From one visit to the next, we may order anything from the menus. It is all so tasty...I cannot say I have a favorite. Here is where the conversation changes. We were so comfortable there, we were on a first name basis with the wait staff. One afternoon, I went to the counter to get a refill and pay the check. While standing there, I witnessed some activity that could possible have been indicative of a pest control situation. I mentioned it to our waitress and she didn't seemed phased. She promised to pass it on to the owner. I never went back to find out. Rest assured, operational issues notwithstanding (I get it. Definitely the best burgers in Egan! They're doing a good job with safety during the pandemic. They're open for dine in and they have tables spread out for safety. They also have pickup available. My favorite is the jalapeño burger but the catfish is incredible and they're generous with their portions.
