I made an appointment with my bestie to get nails done for a wedding expecting great service because of the good reviews. Instead we got a less than good experience. There was no relaxing ambiance, no sounds or relaxing lighting. Both ladies were very sweet but didn't do a good job for the prices we paid. We were not satisfied with our service. One was better than the other but not by much. Our pedis weren't done well, the polish wasn't added to the sides of the toenail and the massage was terrible. I stay on my feet all day and they were super sore. I got a mediocre foot rub. Very awkward. The manís were even worse. After my pedi, my nail tech had me walk on the floor to their station. No flip flops offered to me but only to my friend. My bf came and brought me bigger sandals so I didn't ruin my bad pedicure. I asked to fully remove my builder 4x and she didn't( I think a language barrier) which I just let go of. My nails are super uneven because she obviously didn't know how to do nails, they were lumpy and I still had builder on the tips. My cuticle remover was so rough and wasn't good either. It feels bad to write this but maybe it'll save another person the trouble and money. Overall very unsatisfactory. read more

I have been going to Mystic Nails & Spa on and off for about a year now. I don't get my nails done regularly but when there's a event or I'm going out of town, I go to Mystic. I recently went with my sister in law and we wanted to try their Luxury spa with Chinese Medicine with a pedicure. It was amazing! For my wedding I went here because I trusted the people there so much. I got the classic French tip look with gel. I have recently moved out a state and will miss this place. I got an acrylic full set and they did extremely well. It looks exactly like the photo I showed and they showed me all the color options and powder colors I could choose from as a base which most places don't do that so I really liked it. All the workers were extremely friendly and talkative which was nice most of the time I'm quiet and awkward at appointments. I'm definitely gonna come back. It was cheap unlike most places in Vancouver and most places In Vancouver you have to go to an individual place to get this much detail because most salons aren't experienced to but these people were experts! read more

So if you are looking for a good pedicure please stop from going here. Came in with my daughter to get a manicure and pedicure. No prices listed, so after my mediocre manicure I sat down for my pedicure and was expecting a menu list of choices and prices..... non. she started up. Not great. No sugar scrub,no mask, no hot stones, no wax.... I mean non of it! My foot massage was lacking any pressure or length of time. With two un satisfied customer it cost $185.... I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new nail spot. The pedicure was fine and it looked good after. Before she painted my nails, she wanted me to pay which is fine but they apparently only take cash payments. She directed me to the atm in their lobby so I had to pay a fee from my bank on top of that I feel like it was very overpriced. $55 for a basic mani and pedi is a lot considering I would only pay $40-$45 at my last place in Bothell. Then she painted my nails and the color was good but the top coat was not. Unfortunately I didn't notice this while I was still there as they have no fans or anything to dry your nails and she sent me out the store anyways. Bottom line is I will keep looking for a new nail place in Vancouver. read more

The staff acted like I was a ghost when I walked in. A nail tech was working on her toes at the time and she stopped what she was doing to do my nails. However. She used the same nail filer, napkins and everything else she was just using on her toes. Not very hygienic. Also, no prices listed, very basic do nails be done, no conversation, no massage, no foot scrub. Not worth the money you pay to get your nails done. To top things off, my nails looked horrible! I went to check this place out since they had such great reviews. First when I walked in the guy wasn't wearing a mask until I sat down. He started to rush me through my nails. Didn't do my cuticles didn't prep my nails at all. The dip powder is so uneven and not even the color I asked for. The glitter on my ring finger is on my skin too and he didn't bother to clean that up. Also they didn't enforce the mask rules at all. 5 people walked in without them and they told them they could leave them off and didn't have to put them in. Had a basic mani/pedi. Very disappointed with the outcome. Didn't pay attention to shape. I asked for a file actually and fixed nails myself before painted. As for paint... lumpy, & not cleaned up edging. I do better myself. Still tipped 15% but wish I hadn't. The more I look at them the more I dislike them! Oh! And I went with my gf who has been there before. They raised their prices. Nothing posted and didn't mention to her. Even though they know her personally. She also hates her toes... lumpy paint. Update: I was unaware cutting my cuticles was in line with standards. That doesn't seem standard at all. Let's be clear here: The color was not cured three times. She put it on my pinky, I said it wasn't quite right, she wiped it off and grabbed two more blues and I picked one. She did not redo ten nails three times. It is not extra work to wipe off polish with a paper towel. This is a factual review. If I was looking for freebies, I would return. I will not be returning to have my cuticles sliced up again. I was not told about a 5$ discount for being new. I paid $60 after said discount so not much of a discount. Other places do at minimum 10%. You claim to be different because of customer service. Now people can see how you handle someone pointing out your quality is lack luster. This may have been a fluke and you could've turned it around. Now we know you blame the customer for your under performance. Original review: Super cute place but that's where it ends. The pedicure massage was a joke and lasted maybe 5 mins. My fingers are not the color I wanted. Like most places in the area, they show you a huge collection of colors to choose from and then have nothing you want. Cut me twice and put nothing antibacterial on there so fingers crossed that doesn't turn into anything. The gel polish is bubbling and it's not smooth on the side of most of my nails. One star for the appearance of the shop. One star because my toes look good. Otherwise, a total waste of my money. Whoever does the nails for most of the photos is clearly not who i got. I went to get my nails done on Thursday night (the 27th )the pictures attached are from Saturday night(the 29th) barely two days later 4 of my nails had snapped off one of which was while I was asleep. The rest were while I was doing normal tasks that I've done with nails this length before. When getting my nails done Annie had said she'd have to make them thicker because of the length, I've never had this told to me before and as she was doing my nails they looked chunky and I wasn't happy with that so asked her to just make the tips a bit thinner. which she did so by just using the drill for about 3 second on the underside of the tip in one spot not even centered on my nail. When applying the forms she didn't make sure they fit my nails she just applied the glue then grabbed a random form and put it on my nails(her excuse for this was that she's been doing nails for 18 years and she doesn't need to measure she just knows) the nail forms didn't fit my nails properly and the glue had even made part of my nail skin get attached to the form because it cut into my skin. When I went in to get them fixed/removed she made the excuse that I had said that if they break because they were thin it would be my fault, but as you can see in the photos they broke at the thickest spot possible also where the forms would be attached. I had also asked her to not do the moons on my nails in the design if she couldn't do it like the picture I showed. She said she could. They looked nothing like the picture. She ended up removing my nails and refunded me half the cost (it was 75 for the full set). I'm just very unhappy with the professionalism of my experience and how she treated her mistake and acted like it was not her fault. read more

I had a bad experience the first time with a gal in training but I'm glad I went back to see the owner for a deluxe pedicure again. She did a great job on cutting my cuticles, shaping my toenails/painting them and the long massage felt really relaxing. I would definitely recommend seeing her for your first time here. It's a clean salon. They line the bowls with a new bag for each client and use new packets of lotions. I'll be back in a few months to see the owner again. read more

I tried this salon because I just moved and wanted a place close by and called them prior to appointment to ask about the cost. Which was $30 they told me. I have cuts on my fingers because of filing on the side areas of my nails. informed her about how short to make them. Not one nail is the same in shape or length. Also had lost 3/4 of a nail and expected a new nail would be put on. But that didn't happen and I guess she just put the filler material right on the skin. It looks so band. When I went to pay it was not $30 but $40. Total waste of money. read more

Vancouver, this is the nail spa/salon you've been looking for. It's very clean with a serene ambiance. There's no TV but rather very soothing music which elevates the experience . The nail techs are focused on the client experience which is a refreshing change from every other nail salon I've tried. I went in for a manicure and I am very pleased with the service received.
