We chose this restaurant looking at the online menu which looked interesting and authentic Greek. Reaching there we were welcomed adequately. The service was good in general. The food not so much. The side salad had lettuce leafs that were on their last legs and did not look all that enticing. We ordered a couple of cocktails- a mixture of vodka that had a strange taste. Had to supplement it with a more familiar wine. The mousaka was ok without being noteworthy and the ouzo chicken's sauce was good however the chicken itself was dry and over baked. Not good. Big in portion size, smaller in taste and quite pricey for the sort of fare and place.

    GREEK KOTOLETA
    Antwon C.

We wanted to grab a late dinner before heading back to city and decided to check this place out. I decided on the GREEK KOTOLETA which is breaded pork cutlet topped with tomato sauce and feta served with rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. The salad that came with the entree was tasty everything seemed fresh. The pork cutlet and rice were good. The grilled vegetables were quite bland. Service was great. Would definitely return if in the area.

The best value and taste!! We will definitely be back! We had the Cyprus meze and we will be eating it all week with how much food they gave us! 10/10

This Greek restaurant is as charming as the staff. The decor is contemporary, modern with a Greek homage. All the food was quite tasty. I've been to this restaurant before and quite enjoyed it. We started with the saganoki, which was set aflame. My friend had the chicken special, which was very tender. And I had the lamb which was also quite tasty. The mix of vegetables for the grilled vegetable dish was really lovely. The only thing was that was a bit too much oregano. I have a feeling that instead of putting a little parsley on top they accidentally put oregano. A little Tzatziki solved the problem. My friend had a cocktail. Our server suggested a cocktail which contain the Greek liqueur and she loved it! Great suggestion. I am always concerned about how clean a restaurant is and mythos is immaculate. I will definitely try them again as they are a Burlington landmark.

    Chicken Souvlaki
    Dia M.

Driving into Burlington late afternoon and were looking for a place to eat. Unfortunately we missed their lunch hours and ended up having to order from the dinner menu. We were actually hoping to grab a gyros wrap but that was not part of the dinner menu. Our waitress was super friendly and provided great service. Their menu has a good variety of appetizers, salads and entrees. We ordered Chicken Souvlaki and Gyros plate. Both entrées came with rice pilaf and lemony potatoes and a Greek salad. The salad was fresh and delicious. The Gyros was very tasty and had a lot of flavor whereas the chicken was bland. Both the rice pilaf and potatoes were just Ok, again needed more flavor. The portions are huge! The restaurant has a nice ambiance and if you're in the mood for Greek food, give it a try.

2 stars: You like greek Food? Don t expect too much of this place 【In Short】 This was my first restaurant in a while (we all know why) and I was so excited to finally get back to reviewing amazing foods. It is true that my expectations were high, and the Menu Got me excited. The food was disappointing and, regarding the Wine Menu, I do not understand why they call themselves a Wine bar. The wine offering was very small and inadequate. 【Atmosphere and Service】 The restaurant was very elegant and well decorated, we were welcomed right away and we sat in a private table, far away from the few other customers due to the pandemic. We felt at ease taking off our mask and our waitress wore hers the whole time while being very professional and respectful. As I mentioned, the menu looked amazing with lots of amazing traditional greek recipes. Concerning the wine however, our waitress did not seem to know much about it and the wine selection was overall Very disappointing. 【Pikilia】 When I go to a greek restaurant, I love to try their Pikilia, an assortment of 3 dips served with Pita. The Pita was a little bit too greasy but overall very good. We went for: - MELITZANOSALATA: Base of grilled eggplant, tomato and onion. Solid choice but not the best - TIROKAFTERI: Spicy Feta, and sun dried tomatoes base. This was our favorite - CHEF'S DIP: Roasted Red Pepper, Feta, Fresh Basil. Again nothing to complain about here. Overall the Pikilia were the highlights of the whole experience 【Platter for 2】 No here is where I am troubled. The value of this dish is incredible. They say it is a platter for 2, but honestly, this is more like for 4 to 6 people. I mean just take a look at the picture and the amount of food. You do not know what to order? What about ordering everything ? Pita + sausage + chicken souvlaki + pork souvlaki + gyros + breaded kalamari + breaded shrimp + greek salad + rice pilaf + lemon potatoes The problem with that dish is that there wasn't anything to remember, everything was pretty blend, no crazy texture or flavors, just average food in huge quantities. On top of that, we were served a greek Salad and a Beet Salad. Those were BAD. You do not serve a greek salad, with two lonely cherry tomatoes, 2 olives, a ton of watery iceberg lettuce with no dressing sparkled with a some crumbled Feta. The beet salad tasted like what they served you in school, nothing impressive there whatsoever. In conclusion, this was a below average experience despite our excitement to finally be able to eat at a restaurant. We will not come back again unfortunately. Thank you for reading, let me know if you have any additional question.

Course 5 of the Cyprus Meze, way too much food. Gyros sucked, everything kind of too salty as well.
    Jeff B.

Don't believe the hype. Went here with a group of 3, and we each ordered the Cyprus Meze (basically a 5 course meal). I'll list the courses here: 1) pitas and dips -- all very strong tasting dips and fairly tasty, but also overwhelmingly sour 2) beet salad and regular green vegie salad -- both were quite vinegary/oily and again pretty sour 3) a pork shoulder / lentil mix that looked like dog food and didn't taste much better, and the other dishes (eggplant saganaki, lima beans, roast mushrooms) were underwhelming to say the least 4) halloumi cheese and sausage, but the sausage was oddly very dry and the cheese wasn't impressive 5) a massive platter of gyros, chicken and pork souvlaki, rice, and lemon potatoes By even the third course, we were all getting kind of full, so to see such a large amount of food at the end was kind of gross. My feedback to the restaurant would be to scale down both the price and portions, or at least set expectations of how much food you're going to get. Nobody eats that much food. I typically eat 3000 calories a day but this was even a disgusting amount of food by my standards. Also, pair together foods that go well together. Two large oily and sour salads served immediately after sour dips doesn't make any sense. The saving grace for me was the service. Our waitress was nice and gave us fresh plates after every course. The food is nothing to write home about and at times was gross. Very disappointed. Focus on quality, not quantity.

Lamb souvlaki with ratatouille and fries
    Rachel M.

This weekend I wanted cheese. I wasn't sure why I wanted cheese or how I wanted it but I knew I wanted cheese. So, when my sister mentioned Greek food, I couldn't get the idea of saganaki out of my mind. There was only one problem...we weren't sure where to get Greek food in the area. Thankfully Yelp was there to help and Mythos came up with a high rating for a restaurant with a significant amount of reviews. We decided to try it out. I'm the type of person who checks out photos of food and menus before I try a new restaurant and so in addition to the saganaki, I walked in wanting to try the halloumi and the dips. Then when we were seated, the table next to us had the gyros and it looked so good I wanted that too. Basically I wanted to try everything and thankfully the people I was with were accommodating and willing to share so we could try a lot. Everything was delicious. Filling and delicious. The only things that left me sort of unenthused were the starters (the salad and soup) and sides that came with the dishes (ratatouille being the exception though that was a substitution for an allergy). The soup and potatoes tasted very lemony so if you are into that you'd be happy - personally I preferred it for the soup than the potatoes but both were nice enough. I was ambivalent to them and the rice pilaf didn't seem overly flavourful but I genuinely think my indifference to the sides was because the gyros was so perfectly flavoured. Plus, an amazing texture. The souvlaki also had great flavour (no gamey flavour at all but still had a lamb flavour) and was some of the softest meat my brother-in-law and I have ever had. All the appetizers were great. Saganaki is always good but the halloumi cheese was like a fine and fresh alternative to bruschetta and the dips were seasoned just right, the Melitzanosalata in particular. The staff was also very nice. The chef found us a table on a Saturday night despite us not having a recommendation (recommendations are recommended though) and was really helpful in dealing with my brother-in-law's allergy. He knew what was in all his dishes and was able to work through the menu to find the perfect meal for him. Our waiter was also really great. Attentive but not overly so and very friendly. We loved it and will definitely be back again. We had a go-to Greek place where we used to live and this place is better so we are converted and now Mythos fans!

    Our Delicious meal :)

We lucked out and didn't need to have a reservation and dine in. The ambiance was very nice and peaceful for a fancier greek restaurant. So nice for a Valentine's Day meal. It was a very nicely designed and beautiful European style restaurant. HOWEVER, that was short-lived because in came a family of 5 (2 parents with 3 little girls probably triplets aged 3 were seated literally right beside us.) We were seated in the very back and had a nice private corner to ourselves. The father turned to us to say "Sorry it isn't going to be quiet anymore." He wasn't kidding because the kids were rambunctious, loud and out of control. The parents didn't do a thing. Neither did the restaurant staff and thus this really upset my dh and i. Imho, we were there first and isn't fair to us that we had to dine with this family beside us. It was so not nice anymore. *Side note* The restrooms were clean but temperature wise it felt so cold almost like a meat freezer.

For my appetizer, I got a green salad which had a nice dressing to it, tiny tomatoes, and tiny cut up figs. I would have liked bigger pieces of figs (if you are going to include it in the menu). The spinach rice was a nice side and the salad had a nice colour to the overall dish. My partner's short ribs were not tender and it was hard to chew on. He said the meat didn't fall off the bone. For dessert, the walnut cake was moist, however the pistachio ice cream looked and tasted fake. Service was pretty good. The washroom at the back, near the kitchen was clean. I did remember it being good and portions being generous. Last night we visited the Oakville location. When the food came, to my surprise, there were 2 plates, each with our one meal portioned out! I was so surprised. I didn't even ask them to do this. As you can see from the picture, they were basically 2 full meals almost. I couldn't even finish mine! I took some home. My bf cleaned his plate but he was defs not still hungry. He also mentioned how he really liked it ( he's Greek) and it felt healthy. I agreed. I loved the rice and tzatziki. The potatoes were such a generous serving and it was the perfect amount of salad. The pork was the slightest bit a tad dry but I'm not complaining at all. It's my one little critique. When the bill came, there was a $3 charge for a "split meal". However, we weren't bothered by this because we both ate and were satisfied for $30. It's rare to find that anywhere these days at a sit down resto. We are for sure coming back.
