Only place I would go for Korean dumplings (mandu). Super authentic small restaurant with amazing steamed mandu. The fried one is very good too and super crispy. You can get ramyun everywhere but they do it better for some reason! Nice and spicy with egg and scallions added. Service was friendly.

Ate at this small snack bar/restaurant for the second meal of the night since we weren't full from our main dinner. If you're craving some tasty Korean quick bites and comfort food, this place is awesome. They have a large variety of Korean fried chicken, mandu (dumplings), noodles, and other small dishes like toppoki on the menu. Staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Seating is limited since it's a narrow restaurant. At the time of this review, it doesn't look like there is A/C (but they have lots of fans) so keep this in mind on a very hot day. There are many dish variations we want to try on the menu so will definitely be back soon.

This restaurant has been opened for about six months. We were looking to try some dumplings and ended up here while looking for the previous restaurant at this location. There was a change in ownership. However, that did not stop me from dining here. The restaurant is small and there was no air conditioning. It was a hot sunny weekend. There were fans running but it seemed to make little difference. We were offered menus and cold water right as we seated ourselves. The food reminds of of my vacation at Seoul. The dumplings are made in house. We ordered kimchi dumplings, mini kimbap, dumpling and rice cake soup (dumplings only) and spicy chewy noodles. The flavours were authentic. Everything was delicious. I had enough leftovers to pack a lunch for the next day.

Really friendly and efficient service, large portion on the bibimbap, rich flavourful seolleongtang! Delicious pumpkin soup on the house to start was a pleasant surprise. While the beef tartare was a common highlight among reviews, it didn't seem to deliver a wow factor other than being insta-pic worthy. However, this was an extremely solid bibimbap - satisfying, tasty, and generously topped. Happy with our choices.

This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We are highly recommend it for students, families, or anyone who loves real Korean cooking! Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 each person (dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 4/5 Tips: * Free refillable banchan (side dishes) * Must-try: naengmyeon (cold noodles) * Hidden gem: beef tartare bibimbap-flavourful and beautifully presented. * Limited seating - expect wait during peak hours * Tasty, affordable, and generous portions Would I Return: Yes ‍

Came here at dinner time weeknight without a reservation and there was plenty of seating. They have…read morea daily $10 special consisting of soups, and rice bowl sets however it's very much a kbbq restaurant since there were bbq stoves even for two seaters. They offer a variety of meat, cuts, and combo deals but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they have an all beef and all pork all you can eat. We went on a Wednesday and it was all you can eat pork belly and marinated pork, with a soup and unlimited kimchi pancake and sides all for $30. The servers were extremely attentive in asking about refills, whether that's the rice, meats or even side dishes. A great bang for your buck for all you can eat these days. We heard the staff speaking to many customers in Korean so it must be Koreans approved. Need to come back on a Tuesday to try their beef all you can eat!

I was craving this soup and glad I tried it here because it hit the spot! Tasted delicious, didn't have to wait for a table, and it was reasonably priced then. Came back here last night for dinner with my family and was finally able to try the bbq items. It was a hit! We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.

Cute little family-owned and run restaurant. Small menu. We…read morehad the: -Bulgogi (16.99$): The tiniest bit too salty in my opinion, but other than that, absolutely scrumptious. Very flavourful. If you love onions, order this. Came with PURPLE RICE. I love Korean purple rice (which I believe is a mix of many different grains added to white rice). Unfortunately most Korean restaurants in Vancouver do not have purple rice. -Cold Noodle (14.99$, but they have a lunch special where, for 16.99$, you get two potato pancakes): At first I was hesitant to order this because I love buckwheat (dark gray/purplish colour) cold noodles, and these weren't those, but am so happy we did. I love the texture. The flavour of the broth was also excellent. My only qualm was the "cucumber garnishes" that, in my opinion, were actually too-sweet pickles. Other than that, highly recommend. Potato pancakes were also very yummy. They served complimentary barley tea, and had yummy banchans (kimchi radish, fish cake, and soy sauce pickled onions). The waitress (daughter of the owner-her mother) was very kind and patient with all my questions. Affordable, delicious, authentic, with good portion sizes.
