    Bossam - pork belly
    Winnie S.

Finally came to try this Kerrisdale Korean restaurant as I heard from a few people that this restaurant has good authentic Korean dishes and we weren't disappointed. The hot stone bowl bimbimbop and the Osam bulgogi with pork and squid were both delicious. What stood out was one of their specialty dishes, Bossam which is pork belly dish. We've never had this before and it's apparently one of their popular dish. It comes with lettuce, daikon, cucumber, carrot and other condiments to make a lettuce wrap. The pork belly was tender and seasoned just right. The Korean condiments/kimchi also made the wrap more special. Service was great and attention too. There are other dishes I want to try so it'll be for our next visit.

Very attentive servers. Refilled my water & banchan w/o being asked. Good food. Japchae a bit on the sweeter side of things. A whee bit pricier compared to other Korean restaurants (it is kerrisdale though), but the lunch special is a good deal. Overall, it satisfied my Korean food craving.

We came here on a Saturday evening, not sure if they were short on staff but it seemed to take them a long time to get the few empty tables ready and then the staff was also super rushed taking our order. I even saw them running behind us so just felt like a very hectic evening for them.. and I guess to be dinning in, felt uneasy for us too. The restaurant was also super loud so we could barely hear each other across the table. The food was decent and it's my first time here so hopefully the ambiance is a one off but I don't think I'll come back again if that's the usual.

Nice to have a Korean restaurant in Kerrisdale. We tried the Seolleongtang soup and bulgolgi to start. Both were ok. Bulgolgi beef had some taste and the soup was quite bland although the waitress said to add salt and pepper to our own taste. Service was ok as the servers didn't smile too much. All in all. It's a good place to know.

Very nice Korean restaurant in the Kerrisdale area. Excellent friend chicken. Always quite busy a great choice to go in the afternoon tea time.

    Seafood pancake

Sanduel Korean Restaurant in Kerrisdale. It's a relatively new restaurant. The beef tofu soup is good. They don't allow you to adjust the spice level. It's a little spicy but you don't need to chugged on the . Seafood pancake is good too. We usually have left over but not here. We finished the whole pancake. Felt a little sick from eating too much. Seolleongtang (ox bone soup with beef and glass noodles). They give you salt and pepper for you to taste. Not my favorite, can't seems to adjust the taste to my liking. Service is good.

It was ok, a little pricey for what it was, especially the galbitang was pretty underwhelming

I had the Kimbap, which is a Korean form of sushi similar to a sushi roll that might have pickled vegetables in it, plus whatever other ingredient you want. I had the bulgogi beef, and it was very good and quite filling. One would be a complete lunch. I also tried the Tteokbokki, which is an unusual dish that is technically rice cakes, but I would compare it to a bowl with sliced-up hot dogs, gnocchi, and melted cheese in a slightly spicy and slightly sweet broth Service was friendly.

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The gimbap was generously stuffed with colorful vegetables and rice, wrapped tightly in seaweed and sliced nicely, fresh, clean flavors, and perfect for sharing. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. Everything came out neatly on a tray, which made it feel casual and fun, like a cozy quick meal you'd come back to often. Overall, Nomnom Seoul is a great spot for an easy, comforting bite with friends. Simple Korean favorites done well, with good portions and a relaxed vibe. I'd happily return again

They answered all my questions and offered recommendations, and were very welcoming. Nam San seems to be very popular for their Soondae (blood sausage). However, I've never really tried Soondae before and I was feeling nauseous on the day of my visit--so I opted for something more mild and less "adventurous" instead. I will definitely be back to try their Soondae next time though. Daeji Gukbap 10/10 This boiled bowl of stew was exactly what my upset tummy needed. The creamy broth warmed me right up and soothed my stomach so well. It was the only thing I was able to keep down in two days. There was also a generous amount of tender and flavourful pork inside. This bowl of stew honestly reminded me so much of the one we tried in Busan. Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes stews. There was no gaminess at all, and yet the soup was still so full of flavour. Absolutely delicious. One of the three…read moreremaining stalls in the Robson Public Market food court, Nam San specializes in pork offal and homemade Korean blood sausage (soondae), incorporated into a variety of dishes. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting. The offal is super tender but the star here is definitely the soondae. Pork blood and vermicelli with spices are encased in an intestine casing, making for a unique springy texture. It's even more tasty when you dip into their homemade fish sauce and the stew warms you to the bone. I love supporting small mom and pop shops, and with how tucked away this place is on the busy Robson strip, I'll definitely make an effort to frequent them time and time again. Please pay them a visit and try their unique offerings out!
