PROS: fantastic finds, cheap prices, lots of inventory. Two huge floors, the main floor is knickknacks and home goods, the second floor is clothing. There's a whole aisle of clothes per size which is awesome and there was a ton of each type of clothes. I only looked in the women's sections but compared to other Unique locations I've gone to, this one was super stocked up on dresses and bottoms (which are usually sparse at other locations) and of course shirts, workout clothes, etc. There's also an elevator available to customers, dressing rooms, bathrooms, and full sized carts not just the small ones you pull behind you. CONS: The neighborhood is very busy and had many people asking for money on the street, there is only street parking and some lots around the area but you have to pay to park (the lots aren't expensive but can be hard to find), the store was very hot especially on the second floor. There were big fans on but I was still sweating while slowly walking through the store and shopping. Overall, I would definitely go back. read more

Three floors of thrifting! First floor is furniture, second floor is electronics/toys/Knick knacks and third is clothes, shoes and bags. This place is certainly larger than a lot of the thrift stores I've been to but you really have to dig to find the goodies. Like really dig because there's a ton of stuff. It's really only worth it when you have the tag sales or like New Year's Day 50% off. We found more stuff than at the MyUnique in Union City, probably because that one gets a lot of customers so good things get snagged pretty fast. The employees here aren't super sweet to you but get the job done so I guess that's all I can ask for. There are some really gorgeous finds there that i'm obsessed with! btw the bag section sometimes really has gorge stuff as well. i got a baggy pair of jeans for 7 dollars and i am OBSESSED!!! the only thing i don't like is the area bc there's a lot of creepy guys what do you expect tho (also staff is pretty nice most of the time) BTW PICTURE OF MY PET CAT BELOW!! read more

their second floor's always hot no matter the season, but in the summer it's a little worse. they have color sales but still some of their stuff's a little overpriced for what they are. they have no parking lot, only street parking. there are other shops within myunique and it can get confusing since they're so blended together. they have self check out by the way. read more

I am a regular at most unique store and I always have a pleasant time when I go. Except for the one in 188 Main StPaterson, NJ 07505. I arrived at this location exactly 9:55am on July 17, Monday morning. As I'm walking in the store was all ready open by the time I got there. I went with my sister and she happened to have an emergency and had to use the bathroom. I'm at the second floor and the First Lady I see I ask her if she can open the door the bathroom sign clearly says to ask someone to open it for you in which I did. The lady continues to tell me that I have to wait until the lady comes into work to open the door. That she has no key. I'm like how is that possible? She didn't even bother to help me and continued to have her conversation on her headphones. I went downstairs to see at the main floor to see if someone can help me out. The lady that was working on the main floor was light skin but definitely Spanish. I asked her nicely if someone can please open the door my sister has an emergency and she continues to tell me the lady should be up there and I proceeded and told her I just came from asking someone up there. Is there anyway someone can just open it while this is going on it's all ready 10 am. They're getting upset because they said it's not even 10 yet. If it's not 10 am yet why on earth would they open to the doors to the costumers if they're not ready to be open? She went on her walkie talkie and spoke to someone but the whole time giving me an attitude. The whole time I spoke to this employee was super uncomfortable she did not care to resolve. She literally was trying to brush me off and continue what she was doing so I went upstairs again because she angrily told me someone is up there go. Like ok that's no way to treat someone. I went upstairs and it turns out the lady that has to open the door is finally there. There was also another lady right next to her waiting for the bathroom door to be opened. This old lady that is in charge of opening the bathrooms proceeds to tell me oh you two are the girls waiting for the bathroom. I told her yes, someone told I had to wait for you to clock in to open the bathroom. How is it possible for only one person to open the door? She then in Spanish tells, "ustedes son las desesperadas" with a smirk on her face. She literally told me And my sister that we are the annoyingly impatient girls. She told me this in front of the woman waiting for the bathroom and she looked at me startled because how can she say that to a costumer. I ignored her for the moment because my sister needed the bathroom. We went ahead came out and I did approach this lady again. I asked her for her name and for the other employees name that called me that because that is disrespectful. I come here all the time and these woman are always with an attitude. When I asked her name and the other ladies name she said oh for what. I told her I will be making a complaint because u shouldn't treat anyone like this and say something like this to someone. That it was an insult. Especially when some one has an emergency. She told me she wouldn't give me her name because I shouldn't be doing that. She started mentioning god and religious content. I told her you didn't care to embarrass me and my sister in front of people with your insult. I asked her for her name once again and she refused to give it to me while adding up not to make a complaint that I'll get her in trouble that I shouldn't do that . That god is more powerful. I am writing this because this is an ongoing issue. It was beyond uncomfortable being there afterwards but I had already drove 30 min to get here. I wasn't going to let them ruin my day. But it was indeed uncomfortable being there after the altercation because I would see them around talking about the situation if not starring me down with full of rage.I hope someone goes into the footage and fire these woman. I heard so many great things about this place I figured I'd check it out while my car was getting fixed. It's not the location but the people that work here that make this place so ghetto you feel dirty. I took 3 boxes of the game Scattegories. They were priced differently. I also took 2 boxes of the game Trivia Pursuit. They too were priced differently. I asked the cashier "Catherine" why would the same games be priced differently. She said she didn't know because she doesn't price them. She asked me if I wanted to ask why. I said sure. She called some nasty woman over. The woman came over chewing what appeared to be some fake sushi. I guess she was upset she was interrupted from her gourmet meal. Mad "Michelle", the manager came over and was speaking as if I wasn't there. She told the cashier that the prices were different because one person priced one and someone priced the other and "He don't have to buy it if he don't wanna." I asked her why was she being so rude and it only got worse. She started talking about hurt feelings and all this other non sense. She spoke like someone that just got out of jail that heard big words but didn't know how to use them. It was very frustrating yet entertaining to hear how she butchered the English language. When I asked the cashier what was the nasty woman's name, she refused to give it to me. I asked her three times. She said if she wants to give it to you, that's up to her. So I went to the office again and interrupted her from eating again. Once again with her mouthful and nasty attitude she said "Michelle." And pointed to a balding man with glasses stating "This is my boss right here." He pretended to be oblivious to everything. This place isn't worth the stress. read more

This was a good place until they recently raised their prices for used items, specifically women's clothing I notice, that it makes you wonder if they actually forget they're a "thrift store" ?? Yes, we know you're a for profit "thrift" store but if I wanted to spend $29.99-$39.99 for a 2nd hand women's sweater, I wouldn't be at a "thrift" store i'd be at a regular store buying a brand new one for that price, don't u think? Or online buying the same thing brand new on sale. Even at 50% off, it's a $20 - 2nd hand sweater, regardless of label as nowadays most stores sell their brand NEW merchandise on clearance most times, so Id rather get a new sweater for that $$. I think the managers here should really rethink this new strategy because savvy thrift shoppers know a good deal versus a for profit scam anyday so this doesn't help business, it turns people away. read more

There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe this place. Between the characters- a man who dresses as a pirate. To the incredibly cheap furniture, this place is a lot of fun to walk around in. It is set in a gorgeous old building, with marble floors and this grand staircase. The building's history alone is something to be seen. I didn't walk out with much, but the prices were beyond cheap. I bought an old Samsonite suitcase for 5 bucks, ebay is selling them for 30. They have a lot of vintage stuff and not expensive at all. All in all it is definitely worth stopping by just to people watch. And to find something that is like cheaper than at a garage sale. read more

Never had prob if i checked item! Usually extremely fair prices. Has vacuum cleaners, capet cleaners very cheap amd work weĺl have bought and sold a few! Never bought cloths or jackets but have resonable furnature in basement. Has a nice venders walkjn for dvds cheap new ones! VENDERS FOR Perfume and cologne that are replicas that great for daily on go cheap get buy for work lol not forvdating lmao......And has a little food areacgreat for hot days summer cheap and nice people at that vemder.
