The ride itself is longer than the original and a little less realistic - I'd say the animatronics are weaker and a little more doll like, but it has some of the classic vibes and I personally thought the air quality was better than expected. It is a must do at Disneyland Paris? No. But we had Premier Access so there was no reason not to try it out and see what their version was like, so if you're in the same boat I'd definitely recommend trying it out. However all in all, if there's a wait time past 20 minutes and you've been on another version and don't have PA, I think this version could easily be skipped.

From what I read because they changed the music for French audiences and this version is in Frontierland they changed the scope of the ride and felt it needed a different name. In my opinion, Phantom Manor (like most of the rides we rode at Disneyland Paris) was weaker than the original at Disneyland. It does feel slightly longer but from the music to the decor to the doom buggies, everything is just a little less magical. The best parts are the echos of the original. With Premier Pass the ride was walk on (although up a few sets of stairs), so I definitely recommend riding it if you visit, but I would keep my expectations low.

The original Fantasyland at Disneyland is smaller and cramped, it wasn't designed to handle the crowds it receives, but Paris did a great job in their version - it doesn't feel like an echo but still evokes the classic. My biggest frustration is just like Tokyo Disney, Disney Paris just doesn't have a great Alice in Wonderland merch section. That being said, there is an Alice in Wonderland Alice's Curious Labyrinth in this section but we saw hide nor hare of it (see what I did there) so either it was closed or it was't well advertised. All in all, I like what they did with the area and personally think it's more successful than Disney World Magic Kingdom, but nothing can really compete with the original un my opinion.

This park is pretty small, but is about to become a lot larger with the Frozen land opening next year. For now, you'll find Toy Story Land, Avengers Campus, and some favorites like Tower of Terror and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. PLus, some unique rides, like Crush's Coaster (my fave in the park!!) I love the entrance, which is a large, inside area that makes you feel like you are under a starry night sky in Hollywood. This park is literally right next to the entrance of DLP, so it's easy to park hop. You'd probably get everything done in a day here easily, if not sooner. It's good for what it is, but nothing like its neighboring park. I can't wait to see it get even better next year, though!
