Told me that no mechanic was going to do that for me for an 05 Cadillac Deville. So they "repaired" it. Guess what?! It wasn't fixed! In fact, I had to bring it back the same day I picked it up after paying $400 dollars to have a 7 inch piece of hose spliced on. THEN, they quoted me $3500 (taxes included) and I said fine. I didn't have the money then so I was going to have to make payments on it and unfortunately because of the way things have been going in America right now. I just haven't been able to get my money right. So it took some time to get it paid for and they told me they would not start the work until they received full payment. My car has been sitting at that shop for a year and I had been in periodic contact with him and had made a couple payments here and there to the total of $600. The last time that I came in to make a payment, the amount had changed from the agreed $3500 to it now being $4800. they must've had an owner change since the time that I had dropped it off because the original owner had told me that there were no storage fees. I finally decided that I was just going to come pick my car up and the guy that I spoke with on the phone named Rick was very disrespectful. In fact when I went to pick up my car, my car was left on top of a pile of gravel, my tires were deep in the gravel probably about 2 to 3 inches. I have pictures of the entire lot comparing how all the other vehicles were parked to how mine was left to be picked up they will be being posted on the local community Pages. your father would be ashamed, Rick.

I'm writing this on behalf of my mother who brought her 22 year-old-vehicle for service and was…read morebilled $2311 for repairing a timing belt (water-pump kit), cleaning manifold covers, replacing some cheap gaskets, two drive belts, and two hoses. Oh yes, and $65 for rags and cleaning supplies. By the way, my mother's car is worth about $4000. Do they do good work? Well, let's put it this way. You could go to a shop in Beverly Hills on rodeo drive and pay less money than these folks would charge, they are on parr with going to a dealer. They took my mother in, charmed her, promised her the moon, encouraged her sign a document, and did not provide her a written estimate. I'm quite certain they didn't because I was with her the entire day (on 6/15/2026). They finally emailed her a written estimate 7.5 hours after she gave them the car (4:03pm, she had dropped the car off at 8:30am). They provided her a few paltry discounts $100 discount for being a nurse, yes she spent 50 years saving people's lives, and waved the $65 rag fee. They charge $152 (and change)/hour for labor, they do not post this in the shop, they up-charge their parts 100% over retail (a matrix, Steve, the office attendant says), and then boom, they work their "magic." After most of the work was done, they called and said "we have a great price for you, $2500, and by the way "we broke an engine mount, I mean, we found an engine mount broken, yes, that's right, we found it broken, another $58." When I confronted "Steve" and his friend "Parker," he said "we told your mother everything, and told her the price, she agreed to everything, was happy about it, and said....... yes." They did NO such thing. What a pair of liars, it was like watching the Trump regime on capitol hill answer questions about the education department. When pressed further Steve said, "SO WHAT if she didn't get an estimate, she was here in the store and she signed a form authorizing work." When something doesn't make sense it's always a lie. Ahhh, there we go, that's how we do business at Attkisson automotive? Steve later said, "if your mother is not competent that's her issue." So, my mother is incompetent because you're a liar? We ended the conversation this way: Steve: "You're not getting your car, I'm not losing my job, I don't make any decisions, I have Parker next to me who will back me up, my boss is at the doctor with her daughter and she's not available to talk to you." Myself: "Do you have a mother? You do? I hope you don't treat your mother the way you've treated mine, I can see why you don't make decisions," I paid the fee myself. Tomorrow I'm going to take this car to another mechanic to verify they've done the work properly. I don't live in the area, I'm visiting from out of town, and where I live it is illegal to begin work on a vehicle unless a price is discussed. If it's not illegal here it should be. My mother could have asked for less things to be done, refused service and gotten a second opinion, or better yet, not done business with these folks. I'm very reticent to write negative reviews because I do t want to damage people's business, but this experience was mortifying.

I can't say enough good things about Transmission Corporation of America!…read moreWe were on vacation just before a holiday when my car suddenly started acting up and wasn't running properly. I was desperate because we were planning to drive to North Carolina to visit my son, who is in the Marines. I called and spoke with Scott, who was incredibly kind and told me to bring the car in right away. Christian handled the diagnostics and explained that he would thoroughly inspect the vehicle and keep me updated. Christian went above and beyond from the very beginning. He first drove me to Enterprise to get a rental car, but they were completely booked. Without hesitation, he then drove me to Budget so I could get a rental there. He thoroughly tested my car twice and even had another mechanic drive and inspect it to make sure nothing was missed. He called to let me know everything looked good, but because he wanted to be absolutely certain, he offered to test it again on Saturday--his day off. True to his word, Christian called me first thing Saturday morning after driving and inspecting the car again. He said everything was running great and believed the issue had likely been a clogged catalytic converter that had cleared itself out. Christian was professional, honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind throughout the entire experience. What impressed me even more was that they didn't charge me for any of the extensive diagnostic testing or inspections they performed. It's rare to find an auto repair shop with this level of honesty, integrity, and genuine customer care. Christian, Scott, and the entire team at Transmission Corporation of America treated us like family and gave us peace of mind before our long trip. I highly recommend Transmission Corporation of America for any automotive repairs. They truly care about their customers, and their honesty and exceptional service are hard to find these days. Thank you again for everything!

DO NOT COME HERE! They will SCAM you!!!…read more I brought my car in to get a diagnostic on the air conditioning not blowing cold at idle. They came back with the quote pretty quickly. Of course I assumed AC work may or may not be expensive depending on the problem and after receiving a high quote I needed to run it by my husband. Also come to find out they charge mostly the labor because we found the parts I needed online for $215. (My quote was almost $1600 not including the money they robbed me of) They said they still needed to charge me ($217) because they topped off (it wasn't empty) and recharge my ac. I didn't ask them to do either of those things, just to run a diagnostic which I would have paid for if there was a cost for that, no problem. I asked the man at the counter if doing those things was going to temporarily help with the cold air and he said yes. A lie. Come to find out because my issue is my compressor, recharging and adding more Freon was a total waste of time and money. That's $217 wasted on something I didn't even ask them to do. I imagine they won't be willing to refund me so all I can do is try to help someone else to STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!
