We talked about my concerns about our tile, which is extensive in our home. Then we went to the master-bath and discussed the glass door and glass enclosure wall, of the shower. It was covered by hard water and soap build up. Another area was the tile pan in the same bathroom. The color had turned darker and it was difficult to get it cleaned, like it once looked when it was new. I definitely feel we were given a very good price for the work that was done. Jim and Kim worked on their knees for hours, cleaning our tile and scrubbing the grout. Jim spent a good amount of time on our shower. The results were amazing. Our tile color looked like it was brand new! The grout color was perfect again. The bathroom glass door and enclosure, looked like it was just installed.....so cleaning and bright! I could see the shower pan looking through the bottom of the glass door. But wait!!!!! After all the beauty of our glass shower coming alive with a clean sparkling effect, the shower pan was absolutely perfect! I would start off by saying I had three pieces of furniture refinished by Kennedy's Refinishing…read moreback in 2011 and he did an outstanding job. (Pictures of those pieces added to this review.) So this is to follow up on that with a final piece of furniture he did just last week. All four pieces of furniture belonged to my grandmother and I'm sure are older than me (I'm 64) which of course would make them antiques. I went to my first Everett Home Show in 2011 and that's where I saw the Kennedy's Refinishing booth. It was talking to him at that time and seeing pictures of what he'd already done that inspired me to bring the first three pieces to him. As I said he did an outstanding job! But this review is for the final piece. This last piece was broken into several pieces. Sadly there was one small piece I couldn't find which is why it took me 9 years to bring it to him. Once I found that last piece I immediately took pictures and emailed him for not only an estimation and quote but even if this little table was salvageable. He replied yes it was and how long it would take to restore and the cost estimate, which I readily agreed to. He originally said two weeks but he actually got it restored in just one week! And you can see from the pictures, he did an amazing job!! I cannot thank Mr. Kennedy enough for restoring these priceless family treasures to their original pristine condition! We had Fairhaven Floors install flooring and stair carpeting in our home. The floor installation…read morewas mostly fine, the stair carpeting was chaotic, and in both cases there was unfinished work. The owner made several promises to fix the unfinished bits, while stating that it wasn't going to be possible to properly do so, but never did come back and complete the work. Three and a half years later, I'm having flooring done in another part of the house, and the flooring guy was quite easily able to address the issues with the carpet and floor installation that Fairhaven left unfinished. Yes, I had to hire someone else to finish the job. My mistake for paying before the job was 100% complete.

The initial bid was to remove the carpet and refinish the original wood floors while also installing new wood floors in the remaining living areas. Once they started the work, though, we found that the original floors had issues and there were several necessary support beams missing, all while I was coordinating a move from Seattle and trying to be out of storage and into the house by the end of May. Mike and his team bent over backwards to accommodate me - they fit me in around other jobs, worked on weekends, helped find someone to fix the beams on very short notice and met the original schedule - all at an affordable price. They were professional, did an excellent job of communicating where we were in the process and the floors are beautiful.
