Mark, the owner, responded promptly when I called to request an estimate. He was polite and informative when he came to assess the work needed, and he turned the estimate around within a very few days. We were so pleased by Mark's ability and willingness to not only do the tile work, but also to do the rather extensive work needed to replace some joists, framing and subflooring that had suffered water damage over the years the leak was undetected. It was more than he'd been able to see when he provided the estimate, and I suspect more than he really wanted to do! Fortunately, he had warned us that there might be extra costs and time involved once we were able to see the full extent of the damage under the floors. He built allowances for that into the contract, and we felt that the additional costs and time were more than reasonable. (He was incredibly fair and worked with us to save costs where he could--it really impressed us!) The tile work itself was done beautifully, and we have complete confidence that there will be no leaks in our future. Mark was a great communicator and was very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the process. He and Yuri cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day, arrived on time, and worked their guts out from the time they got here until the time they left every day. We recommend Elephant Tile wholeheartedly and without reservation, and they will be our tiler of choice for any future projects. The quartz looks…read moregreat, it was cut well to the shape of my kitchen, and the seam between 2 countertop pieces is practically invisible. The process from enquiring to ordering was very straightforward and easy to engage with. I was able to go and view the quartz prior to them cutting it to shape. The only road bump we hit was with installation. For the most part it was a good installation job, but it turned out that one of my cabinets was a bit higher than the others, which wasn't visible with the old counters. The installation team pointed out to me that they had to put an additional piece of wood under the counter in that location, but they didn't point out that it then made that counter higher than the others, and I didn't see that when they showed me. I only noticed the height difference after the installers left. My feedback is that I would have liked the installers to have been more explicit about this height difference before they glued the quartz down. I was relying on Integrity Stonework to be the experts for this installation, so trusted that they would point items like this out. After the installation, I had to pay an additional company to come in and remove the countertop to adjust the cabinet before gluing the quartz down again as Integrity Stonework did not offer to come and fix it, despite my request to them to make good on this. To be fair, the installation team did point out a different issue with countertop leveling in a different part of the kitchen prior to gluing items down. I think the height differential was just an unfortunate hiccup as part of this journey, so be thorough and ask to check the countertops prior to anything being glued down!

We changed an old tub for a wonderful upgrade, expanded the shower area, with high-end glass, added excellent tile work throughout (he has a great tile guy), changed counter-tops, and even moved a wall of 50 year old cedar panels to extend an existing wall. Were there hiccups along the way, sure. But now, several years later we are thrilled to use these rooms every day. We work at home and the lifestyle enhancement has been profound. Truth be told we did a good deal of research before and chose well with our components and visual choices. The paint work was superb (he has a great paint team too). The team had an amusing cast of characters and I enjoyed them. They took tremendous care to keep the spaces (bedroom next to the bath) absolutely clean and protected. It took a while with delays and fixes but now all I can say is we really appreciate all the effort that went in and Milt's good spirit to get it right. But when it was time to deliver we were then told we signed a contract that said we agreed to do counters with them too and had not even paid for the sink. They said, In fact we had only paid 65% of the total work we were going to do! Which is not true! We NEVER agreed to counters, ONLY cabinets! And they didn't even come with the handles! The sink estimate email Heather sent and details were almost 4x the original sinks estimate on the paperwork. They took our money and NEVER provide all the materials we paid for! We ended up going through another company and got counters, backsplash, sink and faucet for $1000 less than Aaron and Heather quoted us. They took our money and didn't care! Horrible experience!!
