I'm a resident of New Providence. I regularly go to this gas station for gas. Recently, my tire pressure was low so I stopped by to get air. I was helped by one of the mechanics at this gas station to fill air in my tires. After, he told me to drive it around at 35-40 mph & the dash board notification will go away. After driving it 15 min the notification didn't go away so I went back to this gas station. When I told the mechanic what was going on, the owner (his father) was very rude. He stood up from his seat, raised his voice, told me to go home & to come back tomorrow. He said he's the owner & that his son helped me enough for the day (he spent 5 minutes to fill the tires & I even tipped him). I've never been so humiliated! He treated me with such disrespect by the way he spoke to me & "shoo-ing" me away with his hand gestures. The owner's last name is Murphy. He has no respect for his customers! I will never go back to this gas station again & will spread the word to my friends and other town residents. I'd rather drive the distance than support this man's business. read more

She was dismissive and kept cutting me off like she had better things to do. As a customer who is fearing the worst, having someone who is calm and actively listening is crucial. Don, Andrew and Ryan were able to help me find ways to fix all other issues and are the reason I am keeping this car. I was truly ready to give up. I find that my car runs better when I use their gas. Not exactly sure why that is yet, but it's definitely noticeable. Per the other review, I've never had a problem with anyone's attitude or rudeness. Every time I've gone, and my dog is in the car, he always gets rubbed and a treat or two. It IS pricey but for the convenience and performance of my car, it's worth it. read more

Why yes, gas prices in NP are higher than in other areas. But hey, at least it's not like the Exxon on River Road in Summit! A big plus for this place: they usually have good music playing. Another big plus: everyone speaks English so I don't have to repeat myself constantly (fill up, regular... is that so hard?!). Seals the deal for me: no charge for air. The Exxon on Springfield charges a buck for air, which is just all kinds of ridiculous to me. They also sell huge bags of ice for way cheaper than the supermarket, so this is the place to go if you're having a party. read more

This review's pretty easy. It's a gas station (in Jerz so obviously you're not gonna pump it yourself). Like the last reviewer, I've never had a problem with rudeness--but again, it's a gas station, so I'm not expecting a long chat with anyone. The one thing I would add is that there are other stations in the area that can fill up your tank for less. read more

The Owner here has a heart of gold, I'm handicapped during hurricane sandy there were hour and a half line to fill your gas cans No cars allowed I was in the parking lot next door working up the courage to start walking over (I do have a handicapped sign on my rearview) the owner came to me took my cans filled then came back and placed them in my trunk for me and I paid and left and spent the rest of the day PAIN FREE, I can't thank him enough, I'm not a Reg, here so this review is 100% on the money. wtg NP and thank you. read more

I work in the area and I had no time to leave my truck with the shop I normally use near my home so I decided to go to this place because it was near my job and I just needed an oil change. When I dropped it off I told the guy the ABS light was on, it came on after my battery went dead because I left my lights on, it happened once before and my regular mechanic reset it for me. They called me when they were changing my oil to tell me I needed to replace the right front wheel hub assembly, the part was around $263 plus an hour labor for $115. I opted not to do it because I know enough to know that part doesn't cost $263. When I picked up my truck they charged me $65 tot turn off the ABS light, total rip off, so he took 10 per cent off the bill. I get in my truck and the ABS light is still on, the mechanic tells me the hub has to be replaced before the ABS light can be reset, I highly doubt it. If anything of the sensors may be bad. My truck is checked regularly so the front hub issue is highly unlikely. I normally don't get any work done in this area because rates are inflated to say the least and these guys prove my point. I read some of the other reviews and can totally sense an attitude vibe. If I needed a hub they go anywhere from $70-$100, I have no problem with marking up an item but 250% is gouging. In the end its my fault for not asking more questions when I originally dropped my truck off. read more

Not friendly to people of color.i have been visiting the area since 2014 and have had nothing but rudeness,which I have attributed to people having bad days.this came to a head when I was told to go back where I came from AFTER apologizing for having to move my car..perhaps they don't like German cars.Two...TWO separate workers did not want to repair my tire,at which point the mechanic in charge told me to go back to where I came from. read more

I have never written any review for any anyone or shop, NJ fuel is my first. We have sent our cars to their garage for many years now, and can say that we never have any unpleasant experience. It is possible that someone smilled more to you, while other may not. But they all do honest business with you, and you feel that you can trust this place (nowdays, how many of us would have this feeling to any shop, especially auto garage?). My wife just sent our SUV to the shop this morning to fix the wire problem with left-turn signal and brake lights, and they fixed it for her in less than 1 hour. How much did they charge? $15. Interestingly, I kind of look forward to having some problem with our cars, so that I can find out more amazing things about this place. read more

Gas price is ok for credit, but no discount for cash. Repair service is ok competency-wise, is responsive and is reasonably friendly. I'd really give these guys a 4 star rating, but "Anonymou S." rating was so unfair that I bumped it up to 5. read more

Locally staffed employees are always pleasant. Offers repair work too. Prices are middle of the road - not as expensive as Summit but not as cheap as Berkeley Heights. Love that they decorate their station for Halloween and other holidays! read more
