They did not know that I replaced the battery a week prior and they just tried scamming me extra 50 dollars. 2) took it in for a diagnostic, however they ended up doing other work and changing me without asking if it was ok to complete the work. 3) originally was told one price, when arrived to pick up the car the price was doubled. 4) owner and workers of this place are unprofessional and straight up rude. I asked for a breakdown of price and the owner straight up hung up on me. 5) asked where he car was, they just said in the back and handed me my key. I asked can you take me to my car, the guy straight up said no. I WILL NEVER GIVE BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. STAY AWAY!!

Any other place would just replace it and try to sell me 3 more! My dad once got a crazy estimate on his car and we brought it to American auto. He didn't need half the work and the price was less than 1/3 of the quote he had gotten. I very highly recommend them. They play the long game in business and are not out for the quick buck. Your choice really is to either pay for the diagnostic or pay them for the parts and labor. Now I mentioned to the manager I was there one month ago and you said my brakes are fine . Now I am metal to metal ??? I have not been anywhere. Curt Said well sometimes if the car just sits this causes You to need brakes. How much is that , he gave me an estimate of 575.00 and says I may need routers which would cause more. I drove to my home with my brake pedal touching the floor . Although it was not this way when I pulled in. I believe this mechanic damaged my brakes . I did what I knew how to do, replaced o rings, recharged it etc, and that kept it going a little longer, but eventually it just went kaputski. Call early on a Thursday morning to say that I want to bring the car in, but need it back in time to take a road trip next week. Drop off 8am. By 9am I have a diagnosis. It's a bad diagnosis, but it's accurate - my compressor died. They get the part and have it done and ready for pickup by 12:30 the same day. Is their rate a little higher than some other shops? Sure. But you can have your choice of two of the three: cheap, fast, good. These guys are fast and good. I can't sing these folks praises enough - and as someone who loves my car, I do not trust it to many places preferring to do maintenance and simple fixes myself. Gary and his team are amazing.
