The gentleman working there didn't appear to be more than someone working the counter for deliveries and pickups. After calling the seamstress at another location he told me they could be ready on Tuesday. I was tickled she could get them back so soon. I was however shocked at the price of $20 a panel and I had 4 panels. Normally, I'd call around for pricing but as I said time was an issue. I arrived Tuesday afternoon and the drapes were the proper length, beautifully hemmed and pressed. I was grateful the seamstress could work within my timeline. (Also, they won't accept returns for wrong size; only for damage.) So I needed this dress to fit, and it was small. My boobs were nearly falling out, too tight and too low. In just one fitting where he pinned the hem and the shoulders up, he had enough to do a major overhaul and resizing! It's mainly a quinceanara dress shop, but these can also be prom dresses. When we arrived in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, we read the sign on the door stating they were closed. Stlightly disappointed, I looked in the window, just to get a better look at the dress selection inside. That's when I noticed employees working inside. I mouthed "just looking," and they opened the door. The woman stated that they are officially closed on Saturdays, but if we wanted, we could come in briefly and look around. However, try-ons and purchases must be made another day. How nice is that?!? Grateful, we took about 5-10 minutes to walk around their store admiring their extensive collection of dresses and accessories. Gilma's Boutique provides great customer service.
