Today I was driving back home from NE Tx and lunch time came and I was passing thru Nacogdoches so a quick Yelp and Google search lead me to BacBurger. I went with their special of the day, sourdough melt w/ FFs and a drink. So this was a seriously good burger. The sourdough bread was awesome. Patty was think n juicy. Just flat out good. This understated little diner is a gem! A favorite of the locals and always busy but they are so efficient that the wait is never long. Great burgers and sandwiches plus chicken fried steak and some of the best fried catfish around! The tamales are our favorite in East Texas because the price is fair and they are well seasoned. Have been to NacBurger about ten times and the food and service are always very good. The burgers are not giant gourmet burgers but they are very good and the double beef is a big meal. Have recently ordered a gyro and the patty melt as specials and they were both well crafted sandwiches that tasted good just as prepared. So many times with to go food you have to add extra mayo, BBQ sauce or mustard but these sandwiches are good straight from the kitchen. I also like the free beans they have available. Restaurant owner demonstrated poor presentation of business ownership and food almost killed me. found an inch long piece of metal and plastic in the bacon cheese fries almost choked me to death. called and the owner rudely hung up when told them what happened. went to show him and he denied it even came from the restaurant when it was COOKED into the cheese. will never get food from here again if this was an honest mistake and the equipment broke i should get refunded i am a customer who paid 40 dollars for burgers and there was a metal rod cooked into my food. they are so lucky it was found before i swallowed this. the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional and i will never waste my money here again. i would not recommend to anyone i loved. cannot believe the carelessness of the owner to serve hazardous materials and take zero ownership. read more

I received a salad from this establishment and as I was eating, a roach crawled out of it. I called to let them know so that they could take appropriate steps to exterminate... the owner was rude, denied the possibility of a bug being in his restaurant; and hung up on me. Even after I made it clear that I wasn't trying to even get a refund. You'd think a responsible business owner would appreciate someone alerting him to a potential problem. We've ate here a good handful of times. Taken my coworkers here from out of the area even. I just can't justify how much I end up spending here when we come for a burger and some fries. I have to just stick to a burger or even their chicken salad sandwich to justify the splurge to my wallet. (CSS is BOMB!) The customer service is incredibly nice. I am a big fan of their senior special, it is the perfect amount of food especially when you include the free pinto beans, which are very well executed. The fries and onion rings are great but I do not care for the fry shake as it has sugar in it. My biggest complaint is the meat is not seasoned and cooked to well done leaving no juiciness in it. Next time I will ask for my meat to not be so charred. Both times I have been the meat has been way overcooked. But all in all a good burger at a reasonable price. read more

NacBurger has turned into my favorite local food. While some of the items on the menu (the Donut Burger) don't fit my diet, I've found a variety of burgers that I like. Recently, the addition of the new sourdough buns have kicked the burgers into five-star territory. Also, the sweet potato fries are especially tasty (I always asks for them "crispy") and I often put extra "Billy salt" on them to spice things up a little extra. Make sure to check the specials. Stopped here for lunch based on the recommendation of the Hallmark employees next door. They were right. The burgers are really good. I ordered the basic cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink. Really juicy and flavorful. Also, the fries were well seasoned and cooked until crispy. Perfectly done. As a whole, the restaurant seemed very clean and the tables were cleaned shortly after a guest left. The TV was a little loud with some ESPN talking heads screaming about the Cowboys which definitely made it less interesting. I also found out that they cater in the Nac area which is a positive. Didn't WOW me, but a decent place for a burger. I had the BaconBurger combo and realize that I may have enjoyed the Outlaw burger more. Burger was cooked properly and tasty; not all that dissimilar to the Whataburger I had last week. Took a while to get our order; we were a table of four and it was the lunch rush. Good conversation helped distract from the delay. Aesthetically, it was plain with fun sports memorabilia on the walls. Friendly and accommodating staff. I'd rather patronize a local business when possible and this place will keep me from going to the big burger chains. Truth be told, I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. Working in Nac for the week and ate here yesterday (veggie burger- just okay) and went back today to get a baked potato. I went here for the second time because I'm vegetarian and I hate going to BBQ places to get a potato. The potato was fine, but the service was AWFUL. The girl at the counter charged me for a BBQ meat potato, which is more $ than a plain one, then got mad at me for pointing out her mistake! Rude. Also, I asked for jalapenos and they charged me $.75 for literally 8 (I counted) pickled jalapeno slices. I didn't ask for more because that girl was so rude to me I didn't feel like dealing with her anymore. If you are charging almost $9 for a POTATO, at least don't be an ass to your customers. read more

A few weeks ago, my roommate and I were looking up gluten free restaurants (I'm gluten intolerant) in Nac. This was one of the few places that had a gluten-free option for food, so we decided to try it out. I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but I was disappointed by how bland it was, and it was like $15 for my burger and unseasoned fries (apparently the seasoning has gluten). I know gluten free bread is expensive, but I couldn't justify paying $15 for a burger, even if it was the best burger on the face of the earth. I don't think I would go back anytime soon. The staff was really nice and the place was clean, though. The girl at the counter was really helpful when I told her about my dietary needs. She was really patient when I was reading the menu, which can take a while sometimes, especially if the menu is long or it's my first time there. I like a good burger. This place has really good food, it is not the healthiest. If you want a really good burger, this is the place to go. This is probably one of the best burger places in East Texas. The Only reason I'm giving this restaurant three stars, is because their prices were far too expensive, and that is the reason why I've only eaten there one time. I am very tempted to give them two stars for this purpose. Please lower your prices!! Now these are my opinions, everyone will have their own preference.
