Don't go here !!! Sold me a used base. Would not let me return it or refund me any money. Luckily I had tools and hardware or my bed would have sat on the ground.

Once you're inside however, it can feel like you're away from the traffic and it gives off a very calming atmosphere. All the items are neatly and particularly placed. The store carries a variety of home products to self-care goods. Since it's a novelty store, you can expect that some of these items are not "budget-friendly." With that being said, you can tell that all of the items are of immense quality. They carry some noteworthy brands like Aesop and Kinto. If you're choosing to make a purchase just based on quality, you've made a great investment. I had a chance to speak to Arianne and she was well-informed about the products. I wasn't prepared to make a moderate purchase upon first visit, but I am keen on coming back! I only purchased their lip balm and it's currently my favorite product to use. If you're ever in the Long Beach area, I recommend paying this store a visit!

There are ceramic bowls for your Palo Santo or White sage, which they also carry here, and large pots and tableware items. All of their scented items like incense, soaps, oil diffusers, candles, room sprays are all unique, irresistible, and sophisticated-smelling. They will definitely set the ambience in your room to new levels. There are some unique items here that I don't really want to share with the internet just yet. Lol. Richard and Carol know more about Gardena than most history books. Half the fun is hunting through the endless collection of vintage treasures, and the other half is chatting with them. I spotted old Duncan yo-yos, Mickey Mouse collectibles, vintage signs, John Wayne toilet paper, and about a hundred other things I've already forgotten. They even put water out for our dog, which instantly made us feel welcome. If you're grabbing coffee nearby, stop in afterward. Just don't expect to leave quickly. They truly have a little bit of everything, all at very reasonable prices. It's cash only, but there's an ATM nearby. They do an incredible job of making everyone feel like family. I could easily spend hours talking with Carol about her adventures and the wealth of knowledge she has about the store and its treasures. This is truly a special business run by two caring people who make the shop feel warm, welcoming, and alive. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

I really liked what I saw on the yelp page so I made a long drive after work to get to the store at 6:10. I pullled up and the open sign was turned off, I figured I came this far I might as well check it out through the window. That's when I noticed two ladies chatting inside, so I tried the door and to my surprise it was open! I began walking around looking at some of thee beautiful gems, art , and jewelry. After about 30 seconds both women began telling me they are closed and that I need to go. It was very disappointing to travel so far, make it in time and still be asked tto leave with no explanation besides "were closed". They didn't even offer to let me look around for a few minutes and potentially spend quite a bit of money! Very disappointing, I hate to even bbring it up but it felt like because I was white, or male they did not want me in their store. (I came straight from work so I was wearing chinos a button down and a tie, not Verrazano threatening!) Anyways they have wasted plenty of my time, don't let them waste yours as well, I would highly recommend seeking out another store.

Review #982 2026-048…read more HomeGoods is located on the north end of Torrance Promenade; the store replaced part of defunct Kmart. Owned by TJX, it's a sister company to T.J. Maxx & Marshalls, selling home accessories, furniture, linens, cooking products, etc. HomeGoods used to offer online shopping but removed it a couple of years ago (10/2023) to refocus on the "treasure hunt" in-store experience due to low e-commerce sales & ever changing inventory for that surprise find. Their inventory of "home goods" is usually larger, better, & competitively priced in comparison to its sister companies. HG also stocks snacks, treats, coffees & teas, etc., but their prices are slightly higher than T.J. Maxx & Marshalls. Over the years, I alternated between this location at Torrance Promenade & the one in Torrance Crossroads on Crenshaw Blvd. (refer to Review #821) for deals on bedding, blankets, cookware & kitchenware, etc. I prefer shopping here for cookware & kitchenware because it's better organized than the hodgepodge at Torrance Crossroads. Parking is equally challenging since they're next door to Marshalls, particularly on weekends. My recent visit was looking for a nonstick fry pan replacement. Marshalls stocked only ceramic frying pans... this popularity surge was due to their marketing as a non-toxic, eco-friendly, & safer alternative to Teflon, ceramics' nonstick properties durability is short by 1/2 or more of the estimated lifespan. I was so happy to find an All-Clad pan... both versions: ceramic & nonstick were available, & I stuck with the nonstick (pun intended... LOL). Since we recently adopted a 2nd cat, I checked out their cat supplies but didn't find anything that could withstand Butter's high energy, macho tendencies. He's quite friendly & isn't destructive towards our furniture, yet he's more rough on his toys. His l'il sis, Snow, rivals Butter's play enthusiasm since he joined the family, & ripped a modular track with ball within a couple of weeks. Though the cardboard scratchers are nice, I think sisal poles or boards may work better for both their personalities, especially since they influence each other's behaviors. I normally don't see any staff on the floor, but if you need help, you can always ask a cashier to page someone for assistance. If you're looking for an alternative to expensive retail home décor & furnishings, HomeGoods is the place to be for competitively priced "home goods" for your home.

While the furniture is undeniably beautiful, the customer service was surprisingly poor. I purchased five items during their anniversary sale, where everything was sold "as is." After dealing with an overcharge on my credit card, I was told I'd receive a call the next day to schedule delivery, which I paid $99 for. That call never came until I followed up on social media three days later. It wasn't until August 27 that I finally heard from someone to schedule the delivery. On September 11, the delivery arrived, but one of the pieces was not what I had ordered. I immediately called customer service and sent photos of the correct item. They did offer to refund the incorrect item, but instead of taking ownership, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor. I also requested a refund of the $99 delivery fee, since the service I paid for (delivering the correct items) wasn't fulfilled. Later, I saw some internal emails by mistake, and it became clear they had no intention of refunding the delivery fee. The whole interaction left me feeling disappointed and puzzled as to why they wouldn't just refund such a small fee to keep a customer. Despite being excited about the furniture itself, this experience has soured me on purchasing from them again. My advice: take photos of everything you buy and be prepared for potential issues. If they're willing to lose a customer over $99, it raises concerns about their overall business practices.
