I had Dr. Lazar as my obgyn 11 years ago. At the time, she was located inside St. Bernardines…read moreHospital. She made me feel absolutely comfortable and had so much patience. She kindly explained all of the info that I needed to know, took great care of me and my baby, gave me wonderful advice, and finally, performed a perfect c-section to my healthy baby boy that was just too stubborn to come out lol I didn't want a cesarean but we had no choice because my son was blocking the cervix with his arm and being a "money grabber" as they referred to him as. In order to avoid injuring him, we decided a c-section was the best choice. Dr. Lazar knew how nervous I was for the surgery.. I had planned on no meds and now had no choice but to have them. But after all was said and done and my son was delivered, I knew that I would definitely look for Dr. Lazar in the future for any other children I may have someday. Glad to see she's apparently still in the area for when that time comes. She was so amazing that I brought my son to visit a couple of times until she was no longer at the main hospital. Thanks to her help, I have the most handsome and genius 10 year old child one mom could ever ask for. My overachiever, scholar, and athlete. Thanks Dr. Lazar!

I've had pain in uterus for years and every time I went to the hospital they would say I have cysts but nothing to worry about, or that they just couldn't find anything. From the first phone call the office staff was extremely pleasant and squeezed me in the next day. My first visit Dr Lazar knew what was going on with my and scheduled surgery 3 weeks later. I couldn't believe that someone finally believed me. The day of surgery, she could read the anxiety on my face and Dr Lazar held my hand until I fell asleep. She assured me that she was going to make this pain go away. Today pain be gone. Thank you so much for giving me my life back. I went through years of pain and drs telling they can't find anything to Dr Shelley Lazar MD taking one good look at uterus and scheduled surgery. Thank you to you and your staff. I was truly blessed to be referred to your office. Not to sure if the front desk lady who squeezed me in but a special thanks to you specifically you're amazing!

Previous provider made us feel like we were bothering her and even clinic staff was so unwelcoming. Husband and I did not receive that type of treatment from Dr Bareh and her team. True there is a wait to be seen by her but once you have appointment set up you can expect genuine, capable care. Nurse Angie and staff were very warm in their approach especially in interacting w couples/patients in a tough situation. Dr Bareh and her staff helped us make our dream into a reality. We just welcomed our rainbow baby after years of unexplained fertility. Dr Bareh's staff were very prompt in responding to my question via MyChart and they were very supportive. At my first appointment, Dr. Brar was wonderful. Kind, compassionate, and explained that I would need monthly growth scans and then scans every two weeks later in my pregnancy. I have absolutely no complaints about the care. What I do have a problem with is the office's inconsistency and lack of respect for patients' time. At my first visit, I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for what ended up being about a 10-minute NT scan. While I was waiting, I noticed the office has a sign stating that children are not allowed. However, there were multiple children in the waiting room, and I watched another family ask if they could bring their children and husband back for the ultrasound. The staff said yes. I also saw children coming in and out of the ultrasound area throughout my visit. Based on that experience, it was obvious the policy was being applied with flexibility. Today, I arrived for my 8:15 a.m. appointment with my daughter because I had no other childcare option. We are a one-income family, and my husband works long hours. My daughter was quietly sitting in her stroller and was not disruptive in any way. The very first thing I was told was, "No kids allowed." I explained that children had been allowed during my previous visit, but the receptionist didn't acknowledge what I said and simply continued typing. Rather than argue, I asked her to cancel my appointment and all of my future appointments. Policies are completely understandable, but they should be enforced consistently. If children truly aren't allowed, then that rule should apply to everyone--not just some patients. It's frustrating to see exceptions made for others but not when you genuinely have no other option. Between the excessive wait time at my first appointment and the inconsistent enforcement of office policies, I chose to continue my care elsewhere.
