I want to make this review great but unfortunately, I can't. I am currently trying to transfer to this office for my prenatal care. I am currently 29wks, and I started my request to this office on May 12, it is now June 4th. No follow up reply from them. I sent all the documents they ask, the medical records request form and I even emailed to their office the documents I can get from my previous patient portal. Now, going to my 30 wks pregnancy, I have not established any care from this office. I have tried calling, left messages, and sent emails to follow up - still no reply. I wish they say something, tell me they can't take me, so I don't have to wait and hope from them. I am looking for an Obgyne who is affiliated with Redlands Hospital and with IEHP Direct. I live in Calimesa; I am hoping I get to go to Redlands Hospital to deliver because it is closer than Arrowhead or Saint Bernardine Hospital. read more

A friend recommended Dr.Hage when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I was nervous and had nothing but Google as a guide (which made everything scary). Dr.Hage was patient, friendly, and always happy to answer any questions I had. Even when I called into the office to ask silly questions after my appointment, the staff was happy to help. During my second pregnancy I refused to see anyone else. There was one nurse who guilted me about my weight gain but Dr. Hage and the others continued the same amazing level of care. When we found out that I had breast cancer during my second pregnancy, not only was Dr. Hage there for me and my baby, but he recommended an amazing oncologist and made sure I had the best care possible through the process. Cancer made things scary but Dr. Hage was honest without false assurance in a way that helped to put me at ease. After I gave birth, his PA would call me every 3-6 months to see how my cancer treatment was going. She didn't have to do that, but they cared enough that they wanted to know I was okay. Those are the kind of people I want around me when I'm giving birth. I will always come back here when it's time and cannot recommend them enough. read more

Not only do they not answer their phones, they don't return messages either. I've left three with no call back. The fourth call was after my 95-year-old mother's biopsy to ask for the pathology results as we never got them! No one from the office ever called us. Finally, the doctor called us 20 minutes before our appointment on a Monday to tell us he got the results the previous Friday but didn't want to call us on a Friday...what?? Why not?? (Especially since it was good news.) Instead we waited and worried for two full weeks. read more

The care itself is fine, the issue I have here is no one answers the phone in a timely manner it always takes me until the next day to be attended to, and when you have been a high risk pregnancy and have concerning questions this type of communication is crucial. Please fix this. Hire more receptionists if the call volume is too high to handle please! read more

If you plan to get pregnant, do not go to this office. If you plan to need to see an OBGYN for any reason do not go here. I have been trying to get an appointment for 3 weeks and no one will answer the phone or even call me back and return my voicemail. I went through my first pregnancy and postpartum checkups with this office and then one day they stopped answering the phone. I have left voicemails saying that my birth control is giving me severe side effects and I need it removed and I have called and left a voicemail saying I need to see my provider because I was struggling with postpartum depression. Every receptionist at this office is extremely rude for reasons I do not understand. Every interaction I've had at this office I have been kind, I have paid all my dues and I have never complained or been rude to any staff. The doctors are amazing but the medical assistants or front desk girls, whatever they are are very rude. I would urge you to make an appointment with another office but you won't even be able to get a hold of anyone at Redlands OBGYN anyways so not to worry! They never even communicated dropping me as a patient. And please continue to read other reviews for this office, I have heard that they have dropped expecting mothers just weeks before their due date!! I've heard great things about this OBGYN which is why i decided to come here. Personally I only met Dr. Hage once and he was kind. I had some issues communication wise - I went to an appt, left and received a call stating to disregard everything we had went over in the appointment because they had me confused for some other patient ( I was very surprised they would even admit that) towards the end of my pregnancy I received a call, congratulating me on giving birth when I had not given birth. Their office was under the impression this was my third delivery. (Once again this lead me to believe they had to idea who I was) At my last appointment, I was told "this is it" I wouldn't be coming back here - that was very true even postpartum appointments are held over the phone. As a first time Mom, I expected to be seen in person, especially after receiving an episiotomy. Every other Mom I've spoken to was very taken back that I couldn't be seen or I wouldn't be seen. When I spoke to my provider, they said it was up to me...and considering the experience I had I chose not to go back there. For one appointment somehow my blood work results was misplaced and when I saw my provider, she scolded me and threatened to drop me as a patient for not doing what I was told to do which I thought was very unprofessional considering I was in my second trimester and also a first-time mom (I ended up having to ask the receptionist to check my file and she found the results) In regards to scheduling my induction, I had asked to reschedule and I called every day for a week I never received a call back - once I did receive a callback it was to schedule my postpartum appointment, which I then had to let them know I've been waiting to hear back from my provider to reschedule. I'm sure he's a great doctor and I'm sure other people have had great experiences here. I personally did not and I would not recommend this place especially if you are a first time mom all in all it was just a very un-personable experience. I gave a 2 star rating because the doctor was kind when I met him, (he didn't deliver my baby) the front desk ladies were also kind to me and I did receive care here at this facility - I just had higher expectations considering everyone in Redlands recommended him. read more

PLEASE REVIEW!!! This place doesn't deserve a star I DO NOT recommend this place at all Just look at the other reviews the "Negative Comments" and take that as a sign and run!!! I addressed my concerns and apparently the concerns I addressed on yelp review led up to the doctor with making a decision to drop me as a patient. OUT NO WHERE! All because of a review. I was on the phone with one of his assistance and I let her know instead of them resolving the issue and the concerns and to make the patients feel comfortable. There solution is to drop the patients from the faculty all because of a YELP REVIEW!!!! they are soo concerned of their business looking bad? rather than fixing the problem that goes on in this place! I do not recommend Dr. Hazem Qalla for prenatal care. At 24 weeks, I requested an additional five days off of work due to severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, seeing stars and debilitating prenatal depression. I was also adjusting to a new antidepressant, so I felt that another week at home was a reasonable request given how unwell I was. I monitor my blood pressure at home due to spikes when sick & also because I had hypertension my previous pregnancy. Dr. Qalla refused the additional 5 days off leave and advised me to go to the ER or urgent care if I felt unwell. He suggested I drink a ginger drink because there is nothing else he can do because he already prescribed nausea meds. No additional labs or anything after telling him my symptoms. Messages to his office take a minimum of four days to be answered, and appointments are brief and rushed. Also, medications for a yeast infection were sent directly to my pharmacy without informing me of the diagnosis or discussing treatment options. I have since transferred to a provider who listens, validates patient concerns, and practices trauma-informed, patient-centered care. read more

Update: I now have Hyperthyroidism.. this is because he wrote "any" generic on my prescription. The Mylan brand has Known side effects and caused my hyperthyroidism. I cannot work, I am dizzy and faint all the time and before I saw this guy I was perfectly normal. My muscle is wasting away even tho I got off the patch esp the mylan brand the pharmacy gave me. It is common sense that you never switch up brands on people in the middle of their treatment. You should stay ion the same brand. I am still wasting away. My bones are poking through my skin and I have documented everything. I am creating a class action law suit against both the smart mouth disrespectful dr and Mylan the company. If you have been dismissed and disrespected by this company then message me and we will go after them together. I was recently diagnosed with a painful ovarian cyst and was told to see a gynecologist to see what treatment i will need. It took an Hour and 20 minutes for me to get seen by Dr. Qalla all for a 5 minute talk. I was prepared to explain how i had been feeling just for him to come in and immediately tell me that my cyst is "nothing" and that he could pick up 10 women on the street and 6 of them would have cysts they didn't know about. He didn't ask me how i felt he didn't do an ultrasound or anything and when i asked him about the pain i had been having he said he didn't know and for me to go somewhere for an ultrasound in three months to see if my cyst went away or got bigger. He didn't even schedule me for the ultrasound there with him he just said go see a primary doctor for the pain and go somewhere for the ultrasound. read more

I've been going here for about 12 years and I love this place. Dr. Hage is amazing. He is compassionate and knowledgeable and really listens. He delivered my daughter who is now 11. The rest of the staff is equally amazing. The PA Mariam and nurse Monica are both very sweet and knowledgeable as well. They really take their time to listen. Everyone here is just the best, down to the front desk staff. I would also like to add that the environment is always very warm and welcoming. I can't speak for the doctors but the rules of this office are ridiculous. Number one you can't book an appointment till you complete your paperwork they send over. I've never heard of that before--- it was annoying but not a deal breaker. I had questions and got no call back even though I left a voicemail. Once my paperwork was done they said expect a call to schedule within 24-48 hrs. Nobody ever called me. Took over a week for me to call myself and get my appointment scheduled. Only to find out they don't accept patient transfers even though I'm less than 8 weeks pregnant. Total waste of time but a save on my part. The way an office is ran speaks volumes; glad I dodged the bullet. read more

After more than a decade of loyalty to this office I will be changing providers. In the last year a number of policy and service changes have come about that have had a negative impact on accessibility of care, and have resulted in leaving me with the feeling as if the patient is the last consideration. Well Woman visits are limited to the exam, no other concerns can be raised at that visit. A authorization is needed to make an additional visit where questions which I believe is limited to three can be addressed. Visits are not able to be scheduled the same day, let alone back to back. If you are not pregnant you are not able to bring a support person. This is tough for people with memory and or mobility problems. Disability forms are $75 dollars which can end up being very costly when you need them for more than one entity. They no longer answer the phone for appointments or questions. You must allow 24-48 hours for a return call. This resulted in five calls to make an appointment due to questions about authorization and one missed call. Getting an appointment took more than a month. Once there I found the staff to be rude and frankly grossly unprofessional. While waiting I heard the staff loudly discussing a patient and her care in a very negative way. Lastly the exam room floor was visibly dirty close to the baseboards and in the corners. read more

If you leave a bad review, Dr.hage will reply because he loves to argue- you don't want a doctor with a huge ego. I Was dropped completely at 35 weeks pregnant without any notice,communication or anything at all. My doula told me that Dr.Hage has done this to multiple other women and she wasn't surprised as it's in his character to drop pregnant women late in care. Was also told that one of my doulas clients had to threaten legal action to get their medical records because Dr.Hage wouldn't release them. Not to mention I'm also at risk of preterm labor so this is very stressful and I will never be coming here again nor recommending to anyone to come here. Mexican lady with dark brown/black hair upfront always has an attitude and seems like she hates her job every time you interact with her and the lady who schedules appointments hangs up the phone when you upset her. Was told I could do a telehealth appointment and she obviously didn't want to schedule it so she hung up on me. Was also lied to and told that my insurance only covers 2 telehealth appointments and when I called my insurance they told me that's not true, they cover unlimited appointments which they told to my obgyn afterwards then then I was dropped. Also good luck getting them to answer the phone. They never answer & barely call back when you a voicemail. Spoke to Crystal the MANAGER on the phone and she was also extremely rude with her tone and how she talked to me/treated me, I was shocked as I have never talked to her before. Had nothing but positive experiences with my two pregnancies while under their care. Had two successful VBACS under this office's care. Dr.Qalla was super attentive and was very caring about all the concerns I had. He was literally the best. Front staff and all nurses were very helpful anytime I needed them. Although, they were a little hard to get a hold of via phone but anytime I left a message on the machine they would call back asap. Extremely happy with everything here. read more

I have to reconsider my opinion of this office. I was very suspicious on why the concern in me making a review while in office. My daughter was seeing a physician in that office sometime ago they never followed up until I reached out to her primary doctor because I would never hear from their office. My concern was the medication that wasn't helping. Now that I was a no show due to Covid concerns they wanted to charge me a fee I couldn't contact them because of there business hours I told them I wouldn't pay they said they'd reach out to me and again nothing. They lack on reaching out or following up they never return calls even if you leave a message. I now have a appt to be switched to a new OBGYN mind you my daughter is a minor and has PCOS. read more

Excepting mamas stay far far away from this OB. This is my second review. Long story short - if you read my last review, my experience only got worse. I did my first trimester blood work screening and they LOST my results! Was I surprised? No. Then they told me I took my labs too late so they discarded the results and didn't bother calling me to let me know. Every apt I went in for, the front desk was always so rude and disrespectful. You are not greeted when you walk in the door, they treat you like you're an inconvenience to them, and they could care less about you or your pregnancy. Can't find a sitter? Welp you better reschedule your apt because kids aren't allowed. So save yourself the headache and find somewhere new. I decided to go back to my old OB in Upland (willing to make the drive) and will never be returning here. The office manager is just as rude and disrespectful. Visited as a new patient yesterday, the wait time could have been better but Shannon, the family nurse practitioner I saw, was excellent! Great bedside manner, very friendly and made me feel like I could trust her opinion and practice. I will be visiting her again I the future when needed. I would give them 5 stars but for two things - My appt was at 2pm, I wasn't actually seen until closer to 3. Not the end of the world, I've waited longer for my regular doctor, but just something to be aware of if you have a busy schedule - There's an additional 3% charge if using you credit or debit card for Co-pays or other payments. I understand there's fees they have to pay on their end when CCs are processed but a heads up would have been nice so I could at least bring cash. read more
