But will have to remember to come back earlier next time if I plan to order their fried chicken because they have closed off their fryer by that time. I haven't been to Nadri in a long while and it used to be one of my favorite restaurants in K town. I was somewhat disappointed at the food i received and the service provided. I'm not sure if it's because they depend another restaurant nearby and all the good staff went over there?! The server lady had a poker face on the entire time. When she brought us our utensils and appetizers, she sort of threw them on the table. Previous visits, we'd get asked for side dish refills or even water. We had to approach them for refills. The kalbi Tang wasn't as tasty as i remembered. Yes the broth is lighter than most Korean soups, but i recalled that it was still rich in taste. Today it tasted a bit watered down and the meat wasn't tender at all. The ginseng chicken soup was also mediocre...perhaps they forgot to season the food? The beef rib kalguksoo was flavourful and the meat was fall off the bone. I really enjoyed the texture of the noodles and would love to come back and try their clam kalguksoo too. Four stars seems like a good standard. Food was great!! I feel like I got a couple of my favourite ban chan including potatoes. My friend was treating me to this lunch and I thought it seemed reasonably priced. We had galbitang and LA galbi - both were delicious leaving us happily stuffed. Only thing that was kind of bothersome was the flies buzzing around which you hope went nowhere near the kitchen. I recently had a chance to come to this restaurant after looking for something to eat during a shopping trip; I was in the mood for something with broth, so I ordered Nadri's Galbitang which turned out to be a great choice. For about $22, you get a fairly sizeable soup with three massive bones, a selection of side dishes (with refill), and a bowl of rice. The flavour was refreshing and nicely balanced, and the portions, while not massive, were fairly generous. My only nitpick is that the meat was a bit tough, but that was just one bone so I won't be too harsh on that. Service was quite good, and I found the staff were fairly responsive. Of course, North Road has no shortage of Korean restaurants so Nadri's has stiff competition, but I would still recommend coming here if you're in the area for groceries and shopping. If you're looking for solid Korean food, you can't really go wrong here. Other customers seemed to be ordering the fried chicken, so that will be something on my list next time. read more

The honey garlic sauce was very light, but I loved it that way. The original is still the best original Korean fried chicken I've ever had. The topokki was good too! A random Google search led us to this great hidden gem at the bottom of the Korea Town Centre. It has a nonassuming food court atmosphere, but quality is so much more than you'd expect. My favorite dish of our meal was the red gamjatang with dried veggies, which might not necessarily stand out on the menu, but I highly recommend it for those who want to branch out from the usual soondubu or spicy chigaes. Gamjatang is comforting and nostalgic, full of flavor and depth without being hot-spicy. Bossam had a great gelatinous texture. One thing that felt missing was some pickled radish to go with it. KFC was crispy and airy, kind of the texture of popcorn chicken. The Nadri flavored KFC has a Sriracha and vinegar based sauce, which was actually well balanced and not too tart. Some of our chicken pieces did honestly lack a bit of meat, but they were still addictive anyway. Wish I could give this place more like 4.5 stars, only because of a few little tweaks that might be nice. Amazing pork and kimchi dumpling, the portions are small but the Bossam is super good would come back for the cold beef broth. The waitress was also very accommodating ensuring our needs throughout the course of the meal. I would only comment that this would be on the higher price bracket if you're taking someone on a date. We ordered: -Seafood Pancake $19 -Jap Chae (Glass Noodles) $18 -White Gam Ja Tang (Pork Bone Soup) $14 -Gal Bi Tang (Beef Rib) $19 -Padak (Green onion Mountain) Fried Chicken $28 This was a meal I had ordered for six people, and it was definitely enough to stuff us full! The Gal Bi Tang comes with 2 large beef rib bones (you might have to fight for it) and the broth of the soup felt clean. Great for a cold day. The Jap Chae is always a fan favourite, especially if you have a noodle eater in the family. My favourite by far was the Padak Fried Chicken! Even if you don't like the mountain of green onions, the soy-vinegar sauce that it was served with was great! Every bite was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, plus no bones, if that is what floats your boat. I'd definitely go back for more fried chicken and the pork bone soup! My husband and I were craving for Korean food. We did a search and found that this Korean restaurant was highly rated on Google Reviews. It had 4.7 stars! Plus I had been here once ordering takeout. Today we came here and dined in after the restrictions were lifted. We ordered Galbi Tang (beef) and white gam ja tang (pork). Both of them were delicious. The soup base or broth was clear (not oily or fatty). The meat came off easily that we could just eat it. Of course for bone lovers we could eat everything (like the meat, tendon and bone mellows). The food came with side dishes. We were too full otherwise we would ask for refill. Each dish came with a bowl of rice as well. I could not finish it that I had to pack the rice home. The customer service was excellent as well. The server who is also the owner) greeted us and she was super friendly. She followed up with us during our meal making sure if everyone was okay and if the food was good. There is a big parking lot outside Hannam supermarket. Just park there and walk to the restaurant. It's quite convenient. I ordered fried chicken and pork and Kimchi dumplings from them last time. They were really good that some people just came here for these dishes. We ordered the half and half cheese fried chicken and sweet spicy (yangyeom) fried chicken as well as the dumplings (forgot to take a picture). The chicken was not bad, tasted like good quality chicken. It was crunchy and flavour was not bad. I didn't like the cheese flavour one but the yangyeom was nice. I also had the half and half dumplings. I liked the pork dumplings more than the kimchi dumplings as it tasted more flavourful and well seasoned. But nothing that I would not visit again as it is a bit out of the way. Tip: would recommend you order the original fried chicken if you are taking out so it doesn't all get soggy read more

Their Padak is definitely one of the best korean fried chicken dishes I've had in my whole life. Perfectly cooked juicy boneless chicken pieces with crispy skin, served with a lovely savoury sauce, topped with a mountain of green onions. Personally I don't really like green onions so I have never ordered this dish before anywhere else, but it was easy to just avoid the topping. Only comes in the Large size ($30), great for sharing with 2-3 other people. Also tried their large size Nadri chicken, another korean fried chicken dish (can choose bone-in or boneless) tossed in their house special spicy sauce with sriracha and vinegar. The chicken pieces were large and cooked well but personally this was not my favourite, it reminded me of a sweet & sour kind of flavour profile. Galbitang (Beef Rib Soup) was a bit of a let-down. We ordered several items today for our lunch: * Galbi Tang ($19): three big beef ribs with clear peppery soup. The ribs are good but the soup tastes amazing. Sweet and flavourful. The pepper made the soup tastes warm. A must order item. * Half and Half chicken ($28): we choose their signature sauce flavor/ Nadri chicken, and Snowing chicken. We choose boneless chicken and the chicken was fried excellently crispy. The seasoning is also great and on point. However, the meat is a bit dry. * Steamed Half/half Dumplings ($11): handmade Steamed Dumplings with two flavors: pork and kimchi. We really like their dumpings. The filling is meaty and juicy, and the wrapper has a great chewy texture. * Topokki ($10): great sauce with well cooked chewy rice cake. Their spicy sauce tastes slightly different than others. There is a hint of plum sauce (?) in the topokki. (Maybe I am wrong) but because of this special taste, which made it different. In a good way. We ordered the beef ribs soup and fried chicken with two flavours - original and honey garlic. The beef rib should is a little pricey but given everything is more expensive nowadays I guess it's ok. Hidden restaurant in the Burnaby/Coquitlam North Road area. They have a small seating area inside and are closed Sundays. We've been wanting to try this place for quite some time but always came here on a Sunday but finally had the chance to get something today. We got the padak fried chicken and galbi. The galbi was extremely flavourful but it came in a container where you had to take off a seal which was not something we had encountered in any other restaurant. The padak chicken on its own was also quite good but the sauce I was not a fan of as there was a cinnamon taste to it?? But expensive where I've paid upwards of $27 for small portions that are only ok tasting. The container was super full as you can see. This is quite easily almost double the portion of other places that were been to recently. Chicken was flavourful, crunchy, not too oily or "batter-y". Hubby says some other places have more seasoning but this place was still good! Was chatting with the young guy (I'm assuming the son) and he mentioned they've been open for about 6 months. He was telling me that they are the only ones that make their own spicy sauce. Most places import from Korea as it's hard to make. I'm surprised about this because I've watched many korean cooking videos in hopes to duplicate, but now I don't need to! It was my first time checking out Nadri and they definitely didn't disappoint! The Galbi Tang was made with beef short ribs that's served in a special broth. The short ribs were simmered for more than an hour bringing out all the flavors and goodness from the beef. The meat was very tender and had a nice mouthfeel with every bite.
