I've been a regular here for years, and this place consistently delivers. The facility is clean, and the ladies are all very kind. They always offer expert advice on what to try next. I started with gel manicures and now use UV gel, and whatever product they use truly lasts a long time. My nail shape is always done exactly to my standards. first time customer made an appointment for 22 of June was there on time nobody showed up so I left went back to the spoke to the lady at the desk was letting her know that I was there on time. Nobody was there implied that she can watch the video because she has a to see that I was there on time if she does not believe she said oh yeah, we saw video given. She didn't call me to see why I my appointment. I am sad to write this review because Alex and Marcela do great work, but having no manager on site has taken a toll. I made an appointment and Mimi refused to do my nails because I usually see Alex. She kept me waiting for 20 minutes while she made calls, went outside and got a drink and screamed at her coworkers and me in front of other customers. I called the owner Danny, who said he heard about the incident and admitted that Mimi is acting "crazy," but refused to fire her. He claims he is hiring a manager in a few weeks, but did not show any concern that Mimi is verbally assaulting coworkers and customers. I have been a loyal customer for years, but this is unacceptable. read more

I read the reviews and figured it couldn't be that bad. I was right. I was the first person to walk in on a Saturday, so I get that everyone is tired. I appreciate this one lady's professionalism. I had a cut on my hand that kept getting irritated by the acetone and nail tech taking off my dip polish was being so rough even after I showed her. Eventually she got me a bandaid after I asked though. But I got what I wanted, a simple, inexpensive manicure. I also asked her to put these gold butterflies that I brought from home and she did but both of them are already coming off (I completely redid one of them and now it's staying on) and it's not even 24 hours since the manicure yet :( but I won't be mad about the butterflies because I'm the one that brought them in. Moral of the story, ask for what you need, appreciate the good and move on. A $12 manicure is pretty good. read more

This place is horrible!!! I had no appointment but decided to try it so I went in with a specific request for my nails. I had a gel manicure already but was asking for a extension coffin shaped matte black color on my nails. They kept telling me no problem. We can do it. I repeated myself several times and showed them a picture of exactly what I wanted. I noticed that the manicure wasn't going as planned so during it I kept saying coffin shaped black matte color. And this is what i got. At the very end she told me that was no such thing as matte gel color and they didn't have it. Really!!!! Of course it exists. She left black nail polish on my fingers. I would've given them no stars but it wouldn't let me post the review. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! read more

My nails were absolutely perfect. I came in about 4 weeks ago and I can't wait to go back for another set!!!

Came in with no appointment and waiter maybe 3-5 minutes which gave me enough time to figure out what I wanted. The technician was sweet and did a beautiful job of cutting and shaping my nails. They are all uniform in cut and length! Couldn't be happier. And then they were able to help me with my decision after I showed them my dress! Glad I did as they made recommendation and I decided to go with it... French manicure. They also end with a free mini massage that is just so perfect :) Will be back for sure! read more

I came here with my mom for pedicures and the lady who did my mom's pedicure didn't even put a top coat on my mom's toes. She was in a rush to go tend to another customer. When I asked her about why she didn't put top coat on my mom's toes, she lied and said she did even thought I watched her the entire time. Also, more importantly, they do not use sterilized tools. They use the same cuticle nippers, nail clips, nail files, and food buffers on everybody. I would not come back here. read more

AVOID THIS SALON! I have never had a worse nail salon experience and I get my nails done regularly. I live in NYC and work in Mamaroneck. I received a mani/pedi gift card and decided to give Nail House a try. My experience began with waiting 10 minutes despite making an appointment (however, no biggie). When I called to make my appointment I explained that I had a gel manicure that I would need removed and that I would happily pay the cost to have it removed. I was told it would cost $5. When my technician, Ester, saw my nails (keep in mind it was a $80 gel manicure from an acclaimed salon in NYC, which I love!) she rolled her eyes and continued to make exasperated sounds when I said that I called ahead of time and explained that I would need the gel removed. She scraped the surface and applied the nail polish remover to cotton balls under foil, which is standard. I got my pedicure which was nothing special. To file calluses is an extra $10, so I passed. Then it was time for my manicure and this is where the nightmare began. Ester took each foil off and aggressively scraped and filed at my nails until they hurt due to being so roughly handled and thinned down to nothing. During this painful process she continued to insist that I had a powder manicure on my nails. I told her the brand of gel NOT powder (CalGel - I've included an article on CalGel which is a preferred gel for many salons https://calgelnailartsalonnyc.wordpress.com/2015/02/18/the-difference-between-calgel-manicure-and-shellac-manicure/). Ester proceeded to call over two other nail techs to talk about how I had powder gel on my nails (LITERALLY WITH ME SITTING THERE HAVING HER SCRAPE AND PULL AT MY NAILS). At this point she decided to up the cost of the gel removal - saying it will be an additional $2 (for no apparent reason, it was gel removal). She also told the woman I believe to be the manager who told her to soak the nails because she was "scraping them too much." Ester did not listen and continued to scrape them all. I'm including pictures of the finished product which were taken in my car in the parking lot after exiting the salon. The only positive that I can think of coming from this experience is that my review might save a few people a very upsetting and painful experience. Go else where if you have the choice! read more

I have tried every nail salon within a 5-6 mile radius and this is by far the best one!!! 10+ years I have been coming here...and whenever I stray, I regret it. Every technician does a great job - of course I have my favorites (Nelly, Marcella, Viv, Alex etc) but I would happily sit in ANY chair. Not the case for other nail salons. You can easily get stuck w a bad person. I have gotten many services here - standard manicures/pedicures, gel manicures, massages...you name it. Always good, always done well. And I am VERY particular. Like many of us, I came from NYC where I was getting excellent inexpensive manicures for years...and this place never disappoints. One thing I will also say is that the staff is consistent (meaning many have been working here just as long as I've been coming!) and they are hard working and kind. read more

The most unprofessional nail salon I have ever been too. Unfortunately my mail place closed and I was looking for a new place. I'm not sure how and why a friend of mine recommended this place. First of all, they seat you and don't even acknowledge you. My gel manicure lasted two days I came back to have it fixed and was told that it was my nails. She offered to do a powder for the difference in price and made me sit for another 40 minutes. Don't waste your time. read more
