A month after they moved in problems started . the ceiling in the kitchen poured water after a shower . The laundry room drain wasn't large enough and it backed up causing the hardwood floors in the kitchen and laundry to warp . the lazy Susan collapsed . I called the owner Adam and he told me that the warranty goes with the owner that sold the home the house was remodeled less than 3 months before they purchased it . No inspection was ever done by any third party . It makes you wonder how many other homes wereny inspected . . I asked him what type of nonsense was that ? I called some real professionals in to access my daughters home . The cabinet maker was able to rebuild the lazy Susan and I was told and shown pictures that the back support legs were hacked off . He also said the cabinets were the most poorly installed cabinets he's ever seen . Walls and ceilings had to be open to repair all the shoddy workmanship.Also the former owners left a book with the scope of work and schedule there . We have over 200 pictures of their shoddy , unprofessional work .They reused insulation in the walls where it was supposed to be new . . This was a very expensive fix and especially after looking at the total price they charged the previous owner .It was exorbitant for the poor quality cabinets that were used . I then contacted the Pa State Atty Generals office for contractors and was told I'm not the only one with a problem with this company . First off he did not live up to the day he said he would be there. When he did finally come to install the door my place was in total shambles when he left. Any contractor I ever had cleans up when they are finished, not Jonathan. It took me a good hour and half to clean the mess he made. The best part of it all, he did not even finish the job. The complete interior of the door was not framed/trimmed. When I asked him about it, he told me he did not think I wanted it framed. Who in their right mind has a door installed and does not want it completed? He said he would come back because I wanted him to paint the door as well (something that we didn't agree upon when I first gave him the job). He told me he would call me the following week to set up a time to come back. The following week passed and I heard nothing from him so I reached out. He said he can be up the next day and would send me a estimate. I was figuring the estimate would be for the cost of painting the door, but that was not the case. I could not believe this crook had to nerve to want to charge me another $750. He said it was for painting the door and finishing the door. I already $1400 to him for a half finished project and when I questioned him on this he said that I told him I did not want the door finished when I gave him the job. Again I say it, who doesn't want to have a job finished? This erupted into a big argument and like an arrogant SOB he is he stated that it says nowhere in his estimate about framing/trim. It also does not say anywhere on the estimate that the job will not be finished. This guy is a complete crook and a liar, he also had the arrogance to say that no one would take this job and I should be lucky he did and that he gave me a deal. You think paying over $2000 for a door install is reasonable? Now I have an unfinished door. I already spoke to another person regarding this door and this person said whoever did this door is a complete moron, as you can see light coming through a part of the door, he has shims broken off in the frame and he left if where it will be very difficult to finish framing the inside. Basically this clown f'd up the job and since he can not do it right he figured he would con me for more money. I would love to provide pictures of the terrible job that was done, but you can not post them on here. I am sure the BBB, Attorney Generals Office and my lawyer will enjoy seeing them. I would avoid this guy and company at all costs. If you don't take this advice, then I suggest you better get a complete list of everything he is going to do, right down every single nail he uses.
