I walked in because I was not allowed to make an appointment, and I was looking to get the nail dip and they said there was only one person that knew how to do it. And they can't do it today, I understand that he was in the middle of giving a pedicure, but to turn away new business and any future business I would bring is pretty stupid. My friend and I had a pedicure today at Nail Max. This was our first time to this location and my friend's first pedicure ever. We are professional women in our 50's, not kids. The man and woman who did our pedicures were incredibly rude and condescending and rolled their eyes and looked disgusted with us the entire time. The quality of my pedicure was good but the customer service was horrendous. I was shocked. We were quiet and respectful. I believe this is their norm. WALK-INS NOT WELCOME! The staff acknowledged me upon my arrival and instructed me to pick out polish. Two women "with appointments" arrived and were immediately seated for their pedicures. I then waited for 15 minutes before the staff acknowledged two other women "with appointments." Another 10 minutes passed before they were accommodated, while I remained seated in their waiting area. I asked how much longer it will take, and after asking twice, I was told at least another 15 to 20 minutes. I heard a faint and insincere, "sorry," as I walked out. The worst manicure ever, cut my skin till the blood, doesn't look like they have a professional license, when I asked them to show me one they pretend that they don't understand what I am talking about. Also refuse to return my money back. Very poor customer service and can be dangerous for the health. Definitely I'll call to state board that they will check them. Terrible. I've been here twice and I wasn't completely in love with their job the first time (they didn't paint every part of my nail) but I went there today and I have to say I'm really disappointed. I had long stiletto nails when I went in and told her I wanted them the same way and she rounded half of them. Just half. The other half is almond shaped. All are different lengths. The towels aren't clean, the files aren't fresh and they were really harsh removing my gel polish. When she was putting acetone on my nails it was flying everywhere because she was moving so fast. And she kept looking over my shoulder the whole time. Nothing was happening, she just didn't focus on what she was doing. Which is why my nails look so weird now. I'm never going back there and I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Me and my friend got a simple manicure done at NailMax during the day. We never really had experience with these types of things because we don't really pamper ourselves, so I thought we had to take one of the colors from the color ring they set out, when I brought it up they had an attitude and asked why we did this and talked about us as they were putting it back. Then the nail artist doing my friends nails demanded to see her money before she started paying, and after she was done with my friends nails, they looked absolutely terrible. Like I get it, my friend has incredibly tiny fingers and nails, but they should know how to do it properly. There was nailpolish all over her skin. My nails looked great and I was happy with them, until the day after when all my nails chipped for no reason. I did barely anything but shower in the two days I had them done. Worst gel mani... I agree with Lindsay P. comments. My nails aren't long just needed to be lightly filed instead the the girl filed them unevenly and harsh. Made an appointment for my nephews daughter...8 yrs old....and was great experience. She picked out all kinds of different sparkly polishes and the nice lady that did her nails made great suggestion with base coat so the sparkles would show up better. Peyton also picked a chrome polish for just one nail...which was extra work...and the lady doing her nails didn't even flinch...in fact she made better suggestions! It was the best time ever and my nephews daughter was thrilled and so happy as we were leaving. The whole experience was perfect and just to see my little lady smile so worth it. I was so very disappointed. People were nice it was clean and nice inside. I went to them because I read that they do the dip and we're good. Wrong I was clear what I wanted they said they could do it . It was simple I picked out my blue and just wanted the silver star. The color that came out wasn't the color I picked and wasn't smooth you still saw a white speckles from the basecoat then they forgot to put the star on and when done I asked are you gonna put the star on in German that did my nails at is it he didn't know what I was talking about they all gathered around and I could hear them saying something to the man that it was the base code it had white speckles in it I wasn't happy they get out and is all I got was "sorry about the color we won't charge you for the star". Really I could of made a big fuss but didn't there were a lot of people inside and didn't want to be a asshole. So I went over to the girl to tell her and show her the color was wrong she said sorry and that she would tell the boss . Then the guy said 45$ he did a great job on the manicure but he didn't do a great job with the dip nail polish and the star on my finger is lumpy that they had to put on with gel nail polish and they went to them because they read great reviews I was so disappointed so upset my finger hurts when he was doing a curable it stings so very disappointed Will Never GO BACK!! This place was ok. $40 for Mani and Pedi which is cool. My "pedicurist" was on the weak side. Barely scrubbing my feet with the sponge bar - it was basically a tickle. The massage was as weak as well. He was practically putting himself to sleep. They don't even give disposable flip flops. Have to walk around barefoot if you don't already have sandals. I have now gone to Nail Max twice now, and sadly I have to say I will not be returning anytime soon. While getting acrylics the lady doing my nails cut six of my fingers and blood was actually dripping off. Ive had acrylics multiple times and have never had something like this happen before. I have to say this was the worst pedicure I have ever received. The manicure was also really bad.Barely any exfoliation of my feet and when trimming my cuticles she cut me and drew blood. Cuticles were cut unevenly and the polish application was terrible. I will never go there again. read more

I have never written a review on yelp before but after today felt that it was necessary. A couple weeks ago I went and got my nails done by Tyson. During that appt I felt like he was rude and made me feel stupid by telling me that he could just "tell from the second I walked in the door that I was going to be a picky client". I proceeded to laugh from feeling uncomfortable and asked why he would think that and he said because of the way I looked? That was insult number 1. He kept going on to tell me how great he was and how he's the best and how he KNOWS that I think that he won't do a good job because of how young he looks which I continued to tell him that thought never crossed my mind and he kept telling me that he knew it did. The whole appt was like this of him basically telling me what I was thinking and making me seem like I was such a picky client which quite honestly I don't feel like i am picky I just expect for me to get a quality service if it's something I'm paying for which is how I'm sure everyone feels. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he just had one of those sarcastic personalities and wanted to give him another shot at doing my nails because yes, he did do a very good job (even though one nail lifted and popped off shortly after my appt). Well today I called and asked if I could schedule an appt for this afternoon with him. The lady on the phone asked what time and I said 1:30 and then she said she needed to ask Tyson if that would work. Then she came back and told me that Tyson doesn't want to do my nails. I asked her if he just doesn't have time or if he said he doesn't want to do them. She told me he said he didn't want to do them. So I will be taking my business elsewhere and advise any of you to do the same if you want to be treated with respect. read more

I paid $225.00 for myself and my daughters to have our nails and a pedicures done for my daughter's wedding! I was the last one to got the pedicure and hardly anything was done to my feet than came the nails omg I had to have 2 other people try to make them even look semi nice and one of them was the owner's wife!!! I had to try and fix them myself. My daughter the bride even had to go to the owner's wife to got her fixed! And one of her nails already came off. My other daughter already took hers off. When I walked in I noticed a sign that said they prefer cash or checks. When I asked if they were cash only, she said they prefer cash or check but would swipe my card if she had to but could not include the tip. I said ok and started to sign in. She then asked what I wanted and I told her I just needed a wax. She then said oh no, we are not swiping for that, it is going to be 10 dollars. To clarify, I asked again "so you are cash only?" She then said for only 10 dollars, yes". I left as I only had a couple dollars in cash but I was very disappointed as most other reviews were decent. Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. First off, I wanted the Hot Spring Deluxe Pedicure that was suppose to last for 45 min (they don't even have the prices on the menu so you don't really know what you're paying for). The nail tech I had then went about to cut me with the cuticle trimmer, and file my nails done to the beds which then it started to burn and I kept moving my foot away multiple times. As I'm patiently waiting for this awesome massage the menu said it offers another customer walks in and she decides to rush through the rest of the pedicure. A 3 minute massage total and basically slabbed on nail polish just so she could take care of the other women waiting. As she was moving me to the dryer she said it would be 45 dollars, mind you I timed the whole experience from the moment she started and it was only 23 minutes from start to finish. She looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said I'm not paying for the deluxe package when clearly I didn't receive it. And as I was giving her my debit card she had the audacity to push my card back to me and say there's no tip line for cards and that there's an ATM at the front. Little did she know there was no tip coming her way for my botched up toes. Anyway to wrap this whole disaster of a day at the salon up...I was very disappointed with the customer service and will definitely not be going back!! read more

Hands down the worst manicure I have ever gotten. DO NOT GO HERE. A group of us went in as we had out of town family in who wanted mani/pedi/full sets, we were short on time and stopped in here as we were told that they were reasonably priced. Wrong. The pricing sign was out of date and we were all charged at least $5 more than what the sign said we should be charged. I personally had a horrendous experience with the woman who did my nails, she was argumentative when I asked ehr to make my nails more even as well as when I asked her fully cover my nail. I'm sorry but there isn't anything worse than laziness, if I wanted my nail to be half painted I would have done it myself. This is also aside from the fact that she ruined my actual nails when she used the filing machine used to remove fake nails. Yes, she used the mechanical file to remove regular old OPI nail polish...I not have grooves and cracks in my nails and cannot get any polish to not crack off due to the poor surfacing of my nail. THis is was absolute worst nail place I have ever been to, and I have been to quite a few in the Orchard Park/Hamburg/West Seneca area. If the choice is to go to this place for a mani or to do it yourself, I would do it myself ten times over before ever setting foot in this place again.
