DO NOT GO HERE!! I sat down and asked for a gel manicure and had some communication issues with my nail artists. I had dip powder on my nails and she used a machine to file them down and filed down too far and it HURT. See photo. After that she brought two warm bowls of acetone to "soak". She then left. After a while another male customer came in and asked her to trim his toenails. She attended to this customer and left me with my hands soaking in acetone for 30 minutes. When another employee came to check on me I finally said please just remove the polish so that I can go. You can see where she damaged my actual nail and how my skin is peeling off from soaking for that long. This place is dirty and unprofessional. Avoid!!!! read more

Worst place to ever get your nails done. Rude, know it all employees. Subpar results. Don't waste your money.

I just left from there and I was going to get a gel full set and pedi but left with just the pedi I personally wanted a female to do my full set but the guy that did my pedi was basically like these two women are busy so if you don't want me to do it then you can go somewhere else..... so I sucked it up and said okay that's fine THINKING I was going to still get my full set but I thought WRONG! Other people started walking in and they took them so after my pedi was done drying they told me how much I'm getting charged but I said that I'm still getting my full set n they said no because their busy and I would have to come back another day because they were about to close I left heated!! Since moving to this area I have been searching for a nail salon to be a regular at, and decided to give Nail Mystique a try. I went here to get a pedi and brow wax. The pedi is $25 and the brows are$8. When I walked in I was greeted and told to pick a color. They have a large nail polish selection, but all the shades seem to be similar. That was a little disappointing, but I still wanted to give them a try. I selected my favorite shade of blue and sat down to wait. I was given a bottle of water while I waited for about 10 mins. They only had 3 nail techs working, so I was shocked the wait time was so short. I sat with my feet in the foot spa for about 15 minutes relaxing and enjoying the massage chair before the nail tech came over. She smiled and made small talk while she started to apply product to my feet. I asked her not to use the cheese grater looking tool on my feet and she smile and put it away. When she started to push my cuticles back she was a little rough, but it was bearable. When she applied the salt scrub to my legs and feet she was rough as though she was rubbing dry rub on meat and wanted it to be the most flavorful. My legs and feet don't have a bunch of dead skin so I don't know why she was so rough. She used the punch and slap technique on the soles of my feet and legs. I jumped and she asked was it ok. I was shocked at the assult on my legs and feet. I've seen that slap technique,but never punches. I was starting to wonder if she was mad at me. The tech did shaped my toe nails just the way I like them, so that's a plus. She did a good job painting my nails, there was no nail polish on my skin. She did a very clean job. She took me to the back to wax my brows. She didnt clean my skin off and where I use to go they always cleaned my brows off with alcohol and brushed them into 1 direction. She did none of that. She applied the wax and then rip. My brows look fine, but it was a rush job. She took me back to the front to sit with my feet under the dryer and 2 mins hadn't even passed and she was walking out the door. She was in a hurry to leave and I feel this explains my experience. Who I believe to be the owner was poliet and helped me put my flip flops on so I wouldn't mess up my polish before I left. I don't plan to return, the price is good, but not the experience I'm looking for. read more

I've been driving past this establishment for years until last week when my daughter & I stopped in for pedicures, and I'm so glad that we did! I've gone to other local nail salons, and I now know that I've truly been missing out on a high quality pedicure! They took their time and made us feel like we were valued customers! Really wanted to love this place as its close to me but they just don't hold a candle to the other salon I frequent, which is so worth the drive. When I spend 62$ for a pedicure and gel manicure I expect it to look impeccable. The nail tech got polish all around the skin on my fingers and didn't clean it up prior to letting the Uv light cure the polish. Therefore the polish cured to my skin and then he attempted to file my skin and the sides of my nails to get it off. Needless to say my nails chipped 2 days later. I tried to give them a redeeming chance to fix it but it looks worse now after the attempted repair and my finger hurts from the filing . Sloppy paint job again and you can see where the coats weren't evenly applied and there are clear lines of demarcation. I tried. They were nice but I'll take my business elsewhere read more

Family affair event. The men were very impressed with their pedi but the females were not. The paint job was sloppy and rushed.

Called on a Sunday when they opened and made a reservation for 3 pedicures. I asked if there was enough people to cover 3 people and was assured they could at this time. Arrived at 3:30 with my party and had to sit for 10 mins before someone even acknowledged us. I asked if there was going to be a long wait and both techs said they were almost done with their current client. That was NOT the case. One tech started water for 2 chairs and when that was done, was told my party could split up (they have 5 chairs and the middle 2 were already taken). I told them I didn't want to split up because the intent of coming together was to sit together and get our nails done and chat. They didn't understand. But better yet, they still continued working on their current clients..It was 25 mins after our scheduled appt time that I said I would find someone else and that if there wasn't enough techs to accomodate the party they could have told me that when I called. The 2 techs didn't care. I tried this place because someone said they were 10$ cheaper than the place across the street. However, I will pay the 10$ more if I know I can get in when an appt is set at the time and with the guests I want to go with. I will NEVER go back to this salon again. This is my first time here, but I will definitely be back. They give you a bottle of water as soon as you walk in the door. I came in for a manicure and my mom got a pedicure. They open the tools they will be using in front of you, so you know they're clean and being used on only one customer. I got a gel manicure and my technician noticed there was a bubble in my polish and stopped to fix it immediately which I really appreciated The salon itself was very clean and doesn't have that overwhelming chemical smell like a lot of salons I have been too. read more

Finally! A family-owned salon that cares about individual clients and treats them with kindness, care, and respect! The owner had a choice when I called late on Saturday night asking about manicures for me and my daughter. It was getting close to closing time, but he told me that he would keep the salon open until my daughter and I arrived. After going to the wrong salon on the other side of Chester, I called again to apologize and tell him that I would be another 15-20 minutes late. The owner reassured me and told me that they would be open until we arrived. Both Ven and Helen greeted us warmly. They were not only kind-hearted people with a beautiful family story, they were expert nail professionals and did an amazing job with my shellac nails and my daughter's tips and shellac!! I will be recommending Nail Mystique to all my friends and returning to this salon each time my daughter or I want to treat ourselves to a great manicure at a wonderful family-run salon. read more
