Will not be returning! Went in this morning with my daughter for and no chip mani and pedicure and thought they were very rude to her. She picked out a color that was a light coral color. The polish they put on was purple. When she questioned it they said they had told her it was a mood changing color. She never heard them say that. They insisted that they would charge her extra to redo it, even though they had not made it clear. At one point they told her to wash her hands. While at the sink they barked "no soap" which she didn't hear. Then they got mad at her for using soap and made another fuss. They were also unable to match her toe color to her manicure color. We don't come to a nail salon to be scolded. We come to treat ourselves. Their poor communication and rudeness was unacceptable. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

this place was so bad definitely wouldn't recommend, I asked for French tips acrylics and she used a clear acrylic for the base causing you to be able to see where the nail tips were glued on and when it got to the French tips it was messy and my nails are all different shapes this place is actually awful read more

I just moved from the city, and I am so thankful to have found this place! This is by far the best mani or pedi I've ever received... no exaggeration. Be prepared for about an hour and a half for both. They do a wonderful, very thorough job. The one thing that struck me is may be kinda of gross for some readers [there's your warning!], but for about a year i have dealt with a nasty callous on my foot. Most other nail places kind of give it the once-over with the pumice stone or whatever, but this place actually took the grater-thing and fearless killed that sucker with no pain! Wonderful. My sister and I headed over for her first-ever mani/pedi, just in time for her wedding. I'd never been there before, but the staff is super-nice and did a great job on our French manicures. I would have given 5 stars, but they were pretty rough with our cuticles (seriously, easy there tiger!!) and took a little longer than they'd originally thought. It normally wouldn't have been a problem, but we were in a serious rush. Anyway, yeah. Great quality, really nice and friendly staff (talked to us about 3 day Vietnamese weddings...insane!), and decent prices. Would definitely hit them up again. read more

Try as I might, I was unable to locate Nailtech 1 or 2 anywhere in Illinois. I was just curious as to why they chose three. But that's really all besides the point, because no matter what they want to call themselves, they do a fabulous job on keeping my nails filled-in and looking neat. Even when I come to them with a nail I burned while lighting a cigarette or one I melted off while pulling a pan out of the oven. Each time I come out with all my nails looking nice and even again. I usually go here every two weeks to get an acrylic fill-in, and I have yet to leave displeased. And no matter what damage I have done to my nails during that period, they still only charge me $15, even though their sign states that broken nails are $3 each nail. read more

Great job on my no-chip mani! My tech was a little hesitant when I asked for super short nails, but she was crazy accommodating and gave me exactly what I wanted. She had that perfect mix talkativeness and concentration so my nails came out beautiful and I had a fun convo! I def agree with another user, they really take their time so don't expect an in and out service, my no chip mani took about an hour and a half- completely worth it with a killer hand and arm massage!!! This is the closest nail salon to my house so I thought I'd give it a try on my way home from shopping one afternoon. They got me in pretty quickly without much of a wait. The pedicure was okay although not much of a massage. I almost never get manicures but decided to treat myself to one because I was going to a wedding the next day and decided to go with a French manicure. The manicure was also just okay, but my major disappointment was that not even 12 hours later my nails were already chipping, one pretty badly. While the convenience was nice, I'd rather make a trip elsewhere to get a higher quality mani and pedi. I won't be back read more

This place is so whatever now. It used to be THE nail shop to go to in Bolingbrook. But I stopped getting my nails done a little after high school so I hadn't been in a couple years. When I returned today I was kind of disappointed. The original employees that used to do mine & my friends nails and feet so well are no longer there, or weren't there tonight. And the new workers act as if they're taking slow lessons. I don't know what's up with that but I felt like I was in there forever just trying to get a no-chip manicure. I got a french which is $5 extra, normal, but the manicure wasn't all that. I appreciated that they used OPI products to do my french, I really wanted a color but they didn't have many choices (none of their colors were OPI). And then I also wasn't pleased with the guy that did my nails. He did an OK job, but he wasn't all that nice and when I asked to see the color I picked before I settled on French he put it on himself so he wouldn't have to wipe it off my nail! To make a long story short, he did not get a good tip, and I won't be coming back here....unless my nails chip before 10days. read more

They take their time (so expect to be there for 2 hours+ if you are getting the works) and I have rarely had a problem with chipping or breakage. This was the laziest pedicure I have ever received in my life! I noticed that other technicians were doing a better job at servicing there customers, but the young tech I had was the worst. I didn't hesitate to tell her but the experience only went down from there. Once I left I noticed the polish began to bubble which is a clear indicator that the product was old. I had to return for a polish change and in the meantime she had to rework the pedicure because it looked like I needed one, although I just had one 30 mins prior. She seemed to be the only one that didn't want to work, but if others around her allow her to interact with customers in such a way, then they all have poor customer service in my eyes. read more

I wish I could give this place a minus 10 stars because that's what it deserves. I never make reviews but people need to know what kind of shop this is. I came here to get a full set of acrylic nails and a pedicure. The shop is small with a small collection of nail polish selections. I had my nails done by Tom who acted like he would've loved to be anywhere else but at the salon doing my nails. It was my first time getting acrylics but I knew when I first sat down that I should've left. He didn't clean any of the tools in front of me or at all that I know about, the nail file already had scratch marks in them and I was his first appointment, and the liquid he used for the dip powder had God knows what floating in it. He used regular nail scissors to cut the nail down instead of the curved tool I've seen other people use, and when I showed him a picture of the nails I wanted because the glitter polish they had was not the one I hoped for he said "it was just a polish" so I guess that means he couldn't or wouldn't do it. I also didn't see anyone clean anything for my pedicure which was extremely nerve wrecking. But wait, there's more. The worse part is when I was ready to take off my nails myself I looked up a video on how to do it and the woman said "if your nail looks like glue and is sticky, your salon used MMA on you which is a liquid they use in dentures that is illegal and toxic to use on nails". I immediately started panicking, and when I was taking the acrylic nails off it looked like someone poured glue on my nails. I encourage you to do your own research on MMA nail liquid but the gist of what I learned is that MMA is toxic for your nails, will rot your nails from the inside out, gets worse the longer you have it on, can cause birth defects , and asthma attacks. Not to mention it took two hours to get it off. I will NEVER EVER go back to this "salon" and I will be contacting the better business bureau to get this place shut down or to use legal products. I would not return to this place again. Came in on a Sunday morning and we were put in chairs. We waited in the chairs for an hour. My jets shut off after 30 minutes, so my feet sat in cold water. No one ever came to check on us. Two people came in after us (separately) and got served before us. When we finally had had enough waiting and got up to leave, we were told it would only be a couple of minutes, that we were next, even though the lady who would be doing my feet hadn't even started painting the toes of her current customer - meaning it would likely be another 10-15 minutes, unless her poor client got a rush job. It was like a soap opera in there... there was one woman with blond curly hair that kept giving the stink eye to others - some customers some colleagues, so that was entertaining and 2. the people that helped with my mani/pedi did a great job... I was hired to fly to Detroit to be a hand model for a Serta commercial, and wanted the best manicure money could buy. Lisa was amazing--spent an hour and 35 minutes devoted to me, gave me a no-chip manicure of 7+ coats that is amazing, along with paraffin, massage, and plenty of other services. I've been coming to Nail Tech for almost 18 years after having moved to Bolingbrook and sampling the other nail salons in the area. They've changed ownership several times over that time period but this last change, and under Tommy's management, their business has flourished! No matter what you want to have done, they take their time and do your nails the way they SHOULD be done, unlike the predecessor owners or other shops in the area! If you walk in without an appointment, you are better off coming in during the week; if you make an appointment, there's no guarantee that you will be served exactly at the time of your appointment, but it is worth the wait. An acrylic fill lasts at least 3 weeks, and I have NEVER had a broken nail between fills since Tommy and his crew took over! If you are a regular customer and use the same nail tech each time, they magically seem to remember how you want your nails done and just how much product is needed to ensure long-lasting and great looking nails. As long as I have been coming to Tommy and his staff to get my nails done, I routinely get compliments on the appearance of my nails. I had not been back to Nail Tech in a very long time due to my discontent with the service. However, being pressed for time back in December, I chose to revisit this salon rather than drive out to the one I had been going to at The Promenade. The tech took his time and gave me a fantastic gel nail fill! I have been returning to this salon ever since then with excellent results! I ventured out on Monday to have a pedicure and gel nail fill (hoping the pedicure will inspire flip-flop weather). I had a tech working on my feet and another tech working on my nails at the same time - excellent service! This was one of the best pedicures I have ever had! The tech doing my nails was also watching over the tech doing my pedicure and would stop him and show him what to do - my feet have never looked so lovely! The techs really listen to what I want as far as the shape and length of my nails and check with me throughout to make sure I am satisfied. As far as I am concerned, this is the best nail salon in BBK! Not to mention the prices are reasonable! Thank you Nail Tech!!! read more
