I called made an appointment. I was on time. I was asked to wait 5 minutes. I was the only one waiting when I arrived. My 5 minute wait turned into a 30 minute wait as I watched 4 women come in after me and be seated before me. Do you suppose its because I wanted the Gel removed and not put back on? I walked out. There's a nail shop on every corner and Nail Therapy isn't anything special. I found a place a short distance away. I was seated within 5 minutes and treated like they valued my business. Most of the community knows how great this nail salon is, so my review is going to be a bit more specific on acrylic nails. A year ago I decided to give acrylics a try for some back to back international travel I was preparing for and wanted to have nails that looked great the whole time. It was the first time I have had fake nails since the mid-90s and I was obsessed (see some of the photos below). I always saw Holly and she made them look beautiful every time. Today I decided to take a little break from the acrylics and was shocked at how strong, long and actually healthy my own nails are, a true testament to the care Holly placed on my nails every time I came in for a fill. I actually can't wait to have acrylics again, and plan to go back to Holly. Especially, now, after seeing that my own nails are in such great shape. Also, as a side note, I never ever lost or broke an acrylic over the last year, and I am VERY hard on my hands (gardening, yard work, travel, kids etc). Lastly, this salon is so wonderful. I just moved to Rossmoor and was referred to this amazing nail salon. I was so impressed today. Kenny the owner took such wonderful care of me. The salon manager was so kind he offered me a drink. Kenny used all the latest cool nail tools and airbrushed my nails. He did the stiletto shape so perfect. I highly recommend Kenny's salon. I've been sitting on this review for about a year, but finally decided to write it because I still remember how disappointing my experience was despite so many strong local recommendations. My nail tech was clearly freshly pissed off about something and spent the whole time angrily and passionately complaining to her colleagues. She went way past the point of standard salon gossip. There were several times where she stopped working completely just to emphatically make a minute-long angry point. Halfway through, she turns to me, smiles, and says, "I talk too much huh?" And then she continued on with her tirade for the rest of the time. I know we all have bad days, but this was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and disappointing. Also no one was holding her accountable- not the owner nor her colleagues. Someone should have told her to take a break and have someone else take over. Her work, although not bad, was also not the most detail oriented. I will say the lady working on my pedicure was very kind and she did a good job. My basic mani/pedi lasted about a week. However, I don't recommend coming here if you're hoping for a relaxing/pampering experience. read more

I waited months for my nails to fully heal, then returned for a gel manicure and pedicure. The techs were very gentle this time, and my manicure turned out lovely. As for the pedicure, I should have taken a better look at my toes before I left the salon. My pinky toes look a bit messy... However, I'm sure they would have fixed it had I asked. Was staying next door on an overnight layover for work and needed a gel manicure badly. Booked an appointment and walked over from the hotel in the same parking lot. Immediately on walking in the vibe was busy, happy and great. Billy at the front desk along with Benji (the salon dog) greeted me kindly and got me seated. Nice music playing and friendly staff, very clean and bright salon. Lily did my nails and did fantastic, so much attention to detail and my nails turned out great. The cuticle oil all over nails and hands at the end, along with a hot towel and massage felt great. I wish I lived here I'd be a lifelong customer. I'll be back for sure! May have found my new nail salon! My daughter and I visited this nail shop for the first time yesterday. We were able to get in for an afternoon appointment on a Saturday. But even with an appointment, we waited 25 minutes for our turn. This place is busy busy busy. There are soooo many spa bays and it's really noisy. Getting my toes done is one of the only things I do for myself and I'd like it to be my relaxation time but that's not really possible with the noise here. Next time I will try a weekday morning and hope it's a little more relaxing. I got a gel pedicure and my daughter got a regular polish manicure. Cindy was my nail tech and I loved the care she took with cleaning up the skin around my nail beds. I will try to get her again next time. I like getting designs on my nails but it felt so busy in there like I needed to move to allow them to get others in so they didn't ask and neither did I. My daughter wanted snake designs on her nails but her nail beds are teeny tiny so it would have been difficult, but they found her a cute little snake sticker! Disappointing Experience with a Rude Technician I hadn't had a manicure in a while because I have sensitive cuticles, and the last time I got one, I ended up with three cuts. This time, I made sure to ask the owner to inform the technician about my concerns. I also had a small, swollen cut and specifically mentioned that she should be careful around it. Unfortunately, the technician was rude throughout the entire process. She was not mindful at all and clipped the irritated area anyway. When I reacted with an "ow!" she jumped as if surprised. On top of that, she kept plopping the gel machine onto my lap with an annoyed attitude every time I had to switch hands. On the other hand, the woman doing my pedicure was incredibly kind and took her time. However, when my manicure was finished, I was still sitting and enjoying my pedicure when the rude technician took away my pillow to give it to another customer--without saying a word. I let it go, not wanting to make a fuss. But then I got home and realized my manicure and pedicure colors didn't even match! I had specifically requested the same shade for both. Had an excellent experience here for my first visit. I only do pedicures (with occasional manicures without polish.) I want a clean place and I want someone who does a good massage. I do NOT want someone who sands the top of my nails or cuts cuticles while pulling on the skin, giving me hangnails. I want someone to take the time while cleaning under the nails so as not to cut me... I want the Polish to be smooth and not on my cuticles. That being said, you'd think it would be easy to find and stick with a person and place. I'm hoping this will be that place. CeCe did a wonderful job and I will be back. I got a pedicure this morning. It was perfect. Susan. the technician is awesome very detailed. Went home and my nephew stepped on my big toe ruined the pedicure. I thought maybe I could go to target and try to match the nail polish. Embarassed, I went back to Nail therapy and asked if they could fix it. They said Not a problem, sit right here and we'll get it repaired. Within 10 minutes it was repaired and looked perfect. The amazing thing is when I went to Pay they said no no no no no no. This place goes above and beyond to make their customers happy. My friend called to make an appointment for 5:00 pm for both of us for the same day. They accommodated us and saw us even though we were 15 minutes late. My friend brought her baby and the staff here were so patient with her when she needed to get up to take care of the infant who needed attention. The full set that we both got were done quickly, and well. We are both so happy with our nails! She got hers for a Halloween party and I got mine for my upcoming engagement photo shoot. They took care of me and it looked as good as new. I was able to hang with her for a while as her nails dried and everyone, even those who did not assist me, made me feel so welcome. It is clean, the service is amazing, doesn't have a strong chemical smell, music is good, comfy seats, a variety of color choices, free drinks, offers military discount, and yorkie friendly. The last part is important to me since my dog goes where I go. Owners Kenny and Tina have outstanding hospitality. From my first visit, I was surprised to find out that they will fix your nails if you went home unhappy with them. I've never tried that, but it shows me they take pride in their work. I've never been to a nail salon that offers a military discount. This was one of the reasons why I chose to try them out when I was looking for a new salon. If you want design and unique nails, I highly recommend the man: Kenny. That man has a skilled eye for design. I was lucky to have him work on my design once, but I'm usually a simple, short nail gal. If you want your nails to grow, I highly recommend dipped powder. Your nails will not break and will grow strong. They accept cards, but cash is always appreciated. Appointments are easy to make, and I recommend you do that. I only go during weekdays, and the wait isn't long. Parking is plenty and easy. Just come in, get a drink from their fridge, and then pick your color while you sit on their massage chair. read more

I had a great experience at Nail Therapy! I was looking for a new local salon and decided to try it out due to the great reviews. I'm so glad I did! I called ahead to make sure I'd be able to get in and was told I could come in les than half an hour. When I got there, they were packed, but I was brought in immediately and folks ready to work on my mani and pedi at the same time! Tammy did my nails, and did a great job. I had a gel manicure and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She captured it perfectly, was gentle, and a week and a half later my nails still look pretty good! I unfortunately forgot the name of the man who did my pedicure, but he was wonderful as well and very friendly. It's definitely not the cheapest salon around, but it's well worth the price you pay. My second time visiting here and I came in as a walk in for a gel pedicure. I was greeted and seated right away but you could tell they are a busy establishment so I would probably call ahead to make an appointment so you can secure a spot. They offer you a variety of beverages and all staff seem to be pretty friendly! I opted for the luxury pedicure since it has been about 2-3 months since my last pedicure and I wanted some extra care that was included in that service like the callus treatment, exfoliation and longer massage. My tech was Tammy and she was very nice and friendly. She did a great job with her prep as well as her color application. I was disappointed when it came to the extra perks included in this service that I was looking forward to -- she didn't really scrub my feet at all with the callous treatment, nor the exfoliating. It was applied for a few seconds and then quickly washed off which I was pretty sad about. The massage I think is something everyone looks forward to and I feel as if I barely got one since she seemed to have been falling asleep while doing so. I will probably only do a classic pedicure from now on and just take advantage of their awesome massage chairs instead. read more
