WARNING! I let the lady know that my toes ingrown are difficult.they are angle and under. If she can't do it just to clean cuticles. She said I can. She ended up cutting me wrong. Bleeding hasn't stopped. Manager was rude disrespectful and trying to make it seem it was my fault. It's not my first pedicure!! My lady at home never cuts me wrong or makes me bleed!. I love the atmosphere of this salon. The prices are reasonable and staff very nice. I got a manicure and SNs Dip with designs and I am very pleased. My nail tech is young but she is very good! I can show her a design and she mastereds it Everytime. The original owners are still there and even though I stopped going for almost 10 years, they remembered me when I came back. Pedicure was fine (would not go back for it, 5 days after the pedicure my foot get stepped on and the polish looks squished) , my gel manicure was a complete disaster. The woman cut me twice and I was bleeding on my manicure. She also never prepped the nail bed so my gel polish was peeling within 24 hours. By 2 days later I peeled it off because it looked awful and was bothering me. I called and they redid them much better for free but the entire time I was getting them redone they were talking in their language and I could tell it wasn't very nice things about me. I really hate to update this review, but my latest stop by this establishment has forced me to revise my recommendation. Service has consistently gone downhill for the past few visits, but last week was the final straw. I no longer am asked if I want something to drink when I visit. My toenails are sloppily painted in order to quickly move to the next customer. I picked out a color for my fingernails, and the lady picked a "similar" color, but not the shade I wanted. When I asked her to change, she said "close enough", because she wanted to continue her conversation with the other workers and didn't want to move. Completely unacceptable. read more

Honestly, I really enjoyed my time at this salon! The people are so kind, it's clean, has comfortable chairs, and go good variety of nail polish. The only bad thing I have to say is that it felt rushed, the woman that did my toes did a great job and took her time to make them look good! The woman that did my nails rushed, cut my skin when cleaning my cuticles, and didn't fully cover my nail with the clear top coat so it looks messy (pictures, a few days after getting them done). read more

The worst acrylic dip, ever. It's thick, lumpy, and the woman burned my skin 3 times, and my nails, 5 times with the Dremel. The top coat was bumpy, so I had to go back inside for more torture. They did put on a smoother top coat, but she used too much, and it's all under my nails. I will NEVER go back to this torture chamber! I have been a very satisfied customer of Nail World 3 in Vestavia for about eight years. The owners of the shop, John and Rose, have built a wonderfully successful business in Vestavia which employs at least 10 nail and spa services techs. I have always been more than happy with my nail and pedicure services and recently used John's tailoring service. I just recently had several pairs of pants and jackets altered.....John did a beautiful job and the price was very reasonable and the work was done very quickly! This shop is open seven days a week and the people who work there are very hard workers...these are very gently people where everyone speaks softly and appreciates their customers. I believe it is important to review when receiving great service from a local business! read more

I typically do not write reviews, but, I wanted to acknowledge my manicurist for the level of service that she and the rest of the staff provides. As with a hairstylist, a healthcare provider (ladies, think OB/GYN), a close friend or confidant, or other individual/professional you know and trust, (and who knows you well), when you find a great manicurist, you keep them. Rose has been doing my nails for 13 years now. I am loyal to her because her work is consistently excellent. Equally important, the atmosphere in the salon is always friendly and pleasant. (And p.s. - The interior has undergone a makeover!) I left the salon this evening, thoroughly satisfied with the quality of service. No surprise there. I highly recommend this nail salon. The prices are fair and reasonable for this area. They strive to get to know their customers and keep up with what's going on in their lives. I love this place. I have a personable and pleasant experience everytime I visit. My nails always look great and the color last longer than average. Tina is wonderful and I highly recommend her, along with the entire staff. The atmosphere is relaxing and the hours are perfect for my busy schedule. Since I am in the service industry, I value excellent customer service. I work in Vestavia and think Nail World 3 is an asset to the community. I completely agree with the previous review. (Meena) I started going there about two months ago and service has significantly declined. The last time I went the lady doing my nails convinced me to get gel. I let her have the sale and agreed. However she failed to get all the previous paint off my nails and the color looked horrible. I asked her to redo them and she immediately started fussing at me in front of the whole nail salon (staff including about ten customers). I did not want her to fix my nails, I wanted to leave the nail salon but she refused and continued working on my nails. The entire time I was there, she bashed me for getting gel. I enjoyed my first three experiences there but I will absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and skip out on this nail salon and go to a better one (even if it does cost a little more) you'll be thankful you did! read more

I've been coming here for around 6 years. They are always sweet and do an awesome job. I've had several pieces of clothing altered including a wedding dress and ball gown. I have 2 children they know by name and my husband who they have also met and altered clothes for. Nails always excellent and waxing as well. I adore Rose, Jon and Kathy. The only place I go for nails or alterations. He also saved my friends wedding when the zipper broke on my bridesmaid dress and he fixed it last minute (like 3 hours before wedding, I barely made it to pictures)!! Thanks for everything. This is my favorite nail salon, Rose and Jon are the best. With my busy work schedule, when I get a chance to get into the salon I feel I'm treated like a rock star. I love Nail World! The owners, John and Rose, are always courteous and professional. I regularly drive over 100 miles to visit this salon, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my nails. I also use them for my clothing alterations, as I am of petite stature and almost always require my garments be hemmed. John is a Master Tailor who takes great care with my alterations and his prices are extremely reasonable. Word has certainly gotten out about this wonderful establishment, they are always so busy, I try to make an appointment since I am traveling so far to get there. read more

But not only feel rushed, but if you do not want a pedicure they seem to be pissed off at you. Had my nails done today. It will be the last time. First off, I was a customer for about 6 months when I suffered a stroke. Fortunately, no lasting damage to my body thanks to husband getting me to ER very quickly!!Well that meant no nails for awhile mainly because the doctor would not allow me to drive. Only my husband or friends could take me and I am not one to inconvience anyone!! Well I'm here to tell you John & Rose , the owners, took special care of me when I finally did go back. I was using a walking cane & had to be very careful-not to slip & fall or get too tired. They always asked if I wanted a soda or water and made sure I was comfortable. It's been over a year now and I'm not using a cane PLUS I'm now able to drive myself now. Just a week after Vestavia schools were starting up, of course I broke a nail!! Not having anymore children in the school system, I called to get appointment to fix one nail. Rose answered the phone and said "come on down". I got there and she told me they were very busy with "EVERYONE" getting school ready. Instead of sending me away, they got to me and I was on my way!! Great place! HORRIBLE! I went here after having surgery, needed some pampering. I told the lady what pedicure I wanted, she confirmed it twice and then set me up with a girl who also confirmed which one I wanted. Go through the pedicure, she had to repaint my toe's because she messed them up the first time. Then I get ready to pay and the same girl tells me to pay $20 MORE than what the pedicure I told her I wanted. She insisted I had told them the other pedicure package, she TOLD me that is what I said so that is what she did. I said "No, I said I wanted THIS one for $30, not the $40 one!" She YELLED at me and finally said "Ok fine, we do this time but not again!" Yeh, no kidding, never going there again. I have been a loyal customer for years, but have noticed over the last year that the only customers who seem to get polite treatment are brand new customers. I only allow one lovely lady, Kathy, to do my nails, and she is very sweet and very attentive. The good stops there. The owners, a married couple, seem far more concerned with hurrying their employees along than good service. This last weekend, I brought in a dress to be hemmed and asked him if he could get to it in a couple of days. That seemed ok, but when I returned on Saturday to pick it up, he began yelling at me in front of other customers for not calling him the day before to remind him I needed it. He then charged me $40 for a simple hem, and when I questioned that price, he really started yelling. I was so embarrassed. Everyone was staring, and I wanted to cry. I have seen him treat other this way, not only with his alterations business, but with the nail business as well. I'm sorry to say I won't be going back. read more

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...my experience this past weekend was horrible. I knew to expect a rush on a Saturday morning but I arrived at the nail shop at 10:20 and by 11:45 I still was sitting in a chair waiting. When I was told to sit in the chair the tech went and started doing someone else's nails. I noticed a lot of people asking when they would be next because they had been waiting for a long time. One customer had an appointment for 11:00 and asked the nail tech when she would be ready (it was 11:20) and she argued with her that she said 1:00 and never apologized. I think they may just need to hire more people in the shop to help out. I asked when I would be next and the woman said she would ask the manager...I asked if I needed to come back later and she assured me that I would be next. I looked up and she literally went and started doing someone else's nails. At that point I was done. I walked out and no one said a word to stop me. I don't want to give it 1 star because they did acknowledge me when I walked in and they had a variety of polishes to choose from but that was about it. read more
