What they gave me was different from what I had asked for, after verbally confirming that they could do it. I use to love this place but hadn't been there since before Covid. I was very disappointed to see how much it's gone downhill. I was spoken to like an ignorant child. It goes a little something like this...I came in with ambre and needed a fill. I was told they could not do that but could achieve the same look with paint. Then at the end I was told I had to do solid color. I was still trying to trouble shoot and ask questions in hopes that I could still obtain the look I originally wanted. The only reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because I have to give at least 1 to write a review...so here we go. I want to start by explaining I'm usually the type of person to be polite just for the sake of politeness but the experience I had today here was just a utter nightmare. I visited with my best friend, we had both booked appts for a full set (acrylic) nails. I requested the nails be shaped in the popular "coffin nail" shape which my technician assured me he was familiar with and had done before. The results are square shaped nails with rough edges and a terrible paint job. While my nails were drying I noticed several white flakes stuck in the polish, I explained to my manicurist that something was stuck under it and he simply painted over it and said you're good. Upon paying for my laughable manicure the guy charged me full price despite my utter and obvious disappointment. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I have gone to Nail World & Spa many times, but after my experience today, I will never return. I first stated that the primary reason for my visit was to have my heels smoothed because I'd just returned from the beach. The gentleman who gave me my pedicure, spent almost no time using a buffing pumice and did not use a razor. After quickly applying lotion for the "massage" portion of the pedicure, leaving the "hot" towels on my legs until they were quite cold, and not filing my nails at all, he did a TERRIBLE job applying polish. It was all over my skin to the point that it even got on my sandals, and he applied the polish so far up on one of the nails, it looked like it had already been growing out for several days. When I pointed out one of the nails that was particularly bad and asked him to redo it, he simply got out the polish remover and brush to clean it up to absolutely no avail. I had planned to get a manicure as well, but the pedicure was so awful I told them never mind. The more I looked at my nails, the worse I realized the service was. Not only was the polish everywhere, but the bottoms of my feet were still just as rough as when I'd arrived and there was even dry skin on my toes that hadn't been addressed. I told the owner that I'd especially wanted my heels smoothed but asked him to look at the polish as well. He not only didn't apologize, he just walked back into another room. When he returned, he told me to sit and re-soak my feet. Finally another technician returned to begin redoing the pedicure. She removed polish from two toes before the owner signaled for her to start on another pedicure instead. After sitting with my feet in cold water for 20 minutes (after already having been at the salon for an hour and 45 minutes!!), I told them I couldn't wait any longer. I never received an apology, and the only reason I wasn't charged was because I told them it was totally unacceptable and that under no circumstance should I be charged. I attached photos to show how my feet looked when I left (zoom in for the full effect). Needless to say, I would have been far better off leaving my original pedicure alone. My recommendation - do NOT go to Nail World & Spa if you are looking for decent service. read more

I usually have an average to good experience here but during the busy season they tend to prioritize getting more people in than actually giving a good experience and good nails. They're my favorite place in Bloomington but recently they've been underperforming. I think they just have a lot on their plate but my nails this last time look like they've been done at a child's birthday party. For my first pedicure after moving to Bloomington what a shit experience. I came in with 2 family members after making an appointment and requested their deluxe pedicure. The tech did not shape my nails, cut my cuticles, or remove my callouss until I said something. Then they tried to tell me my feet weren't that bad while I'm touching callouses. The tech used no lotion on my legs instead messaged my legs with the stones on dry sugar shrub rubbing my skin raw. I had to ask he remove the scrub and he never asked what services I wanted that were change able. Then when he was done he rolled my pants down on wet legs and made me move out of the massage chair and wait on my family at the dryers. When the store was empty and they were still next to me. Never coming back. Both my family members had excellent experiences and good technicians. Guess I was the unlucky one. read more

One of the absolute worst nail salons I have ever used. When I arrived I asked how long it would take for a pedi/mani and was told 1 hour. After waiting 30 plus minutes they began my pedicure. The girl took over 50 minutes for a pedicure. I then was placed at a station for my manicure. After waiting 20 more minutes I asked when I would have my nails done. I was told it would be another 15 minutes. When I asked once my nails would be done how long it would take, I was told 45 minutes. If you have three hours to waste and want a substandard pedicure/manicure/powder, then this is the nail salon for you. Pedicure looks horrible and now I need to have my nails redone. Save yourself money and time and use any other nail salon in the area. Terrible quality and terrible service. read more

From the shaping of the nail to cuticle trimming and polishing, each step is done with incredible precision and care. Everything is autoclaved and each client gets their own nail file and brush. I am always comforted by the cleanliness and how quickly instruments and pedicure tubs are cleaned immediately after each client. I have been a loyal client of Nail World and Spa for 7 years and have never been disappointed. My pedicures last up to 4 weeks and manicures, anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 weeks! They wear gloves. And the place seems a little weird on the decoration side of things but it is clean and a good place if you just want to walk in. I went to Nail World and Spa about 3 weeks ago to get an acrylic nail gel fill. It looked great at first! About 3 days later one of my nails broke off, so I called and made an appointment to get them redone. After sitting for 30 minutes while walk-ins were getting taken care of, I finally sat down. They fixed my one nail which was uneven in shape to the rest of them, I left. They all seemed annoyed while I was there and like they were rushing to get me and everyone else out. The very next day, 2 more of my fake nails broke off and the color on my nails had faded so much that it looked horrible!
