I can't believed I paid $100 for gel-x short French tips that are all crooked! I'll start by saying that I just moved to the area and was recommended this spot. Walked in did the check in and then was seated pretty quickly. I showed the nail tech my inspo pic which was a basic French tip. When she was shaping my nails, she angled the file up which made all my nails angle upwards. I mentioned to the tech that the shape and angles look off and she said it's because my nail beds were short. I've been to many other techs and shaping was never a problem and was never told that by them. When I went to pay I was shocked to see $96. I honestly have never paid that much for such a basic set of nails. Couldn't even imagine if I tried to get something different. I will say that the atmosphere was nice but other than that I don't think I could ever bring myself to ever get nails here again or pay such a ridiculous price. read more

I like this salon. They're efficient, the space is relatively open and elegant, and the staff is helpful. It's just so expensive! Parking can be a struggle during lunchtime or on Saturdays, but there is enough, and it is free. I come here often for my pedicures but usually go elsewhere for my manis but had to go ahead and get my fingernails redone here. For starters, I come in and request a new tap gel overlay and a soak off the old set. The nail tech seems to be new and maybe should not be working on customers just yet. I keep my natural nails long and she asked if I wanted to clip a little off. I said "yes, just a little" and demonstrated on my nail how much I wanted cut. This lady literally cut off my entire nail, down to the hanging piece of skin attached under the nail. (I have included a pic after she clipped a few nails and you can see how long my nails were on the others.) So obviously I was very annoyed and was contemplating asking someone else to finish my nails but decided to just go on with who I had. I specifically asked her to not cut them down to the skin and she did it again. So at this point the overlay is all soaked off and my nails are down to the nub and she pulls out a kit of fake nails! I was beyond annoyed bc In what world would you cut off all my nails and try to apply a fake nail that is SHORTER than the nail you just cut off?? I told her at least 3 times that I do not wear fake nails! And lastly, my ticket clearly said I wanted tap gel and she was preparing to do a gel x set on my nails! At this point I am upset and asked for someone else/the manager. The owner comes over and asks many times what I was requesting. I said tap gel and she kept asking "tap gel or gel x" when my ticket clearly says tap gel and I am saying out of my mouth tap gel. Like... are yall assuming I don't know what I get on my own dang hands?? After this back and forth the owner ends up finishing up my nails and even she made a comment about the skin underneath my nails being exposed and I said yea she cut my nails far too short. However she still did not offer a discount or a free service and was gone by the time I was checking out. This was such bad customer service. The lady checking me out took like $5 off my $70 bill bc she didn't know what to do without the owner there. This was very upsetting as much as I come here for services. Pricing is atrocious for manicures. Cuticle maintenance and manicure should be included in the price of ALL MANICURES and not an add-on. The first time I went, I did not know this, so I got a dip manicure, thinking they'd trim my cuticles. Nope! Pedicures are good and reasonably priced. Automatically offering a beverage upon sitting would be a nice bonus. I had to overhear someone ordering and get the nerve to ask. Lee did a great job with the dip nail set. He was friendly and talked just the right amount. All my nails are even and thin. The only thing off about them is the chrome. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here. I went in to get a dip manicure, and within a week one of my nails chipped. I went in to get it fixed, and no one could find the correct shade, so they went with something close, which didn't match. Right when I got home, another nail chipped. Plus the dip manicure I got was way too overpriced. I ended up paying $75 just to have two nails chip within a week. read more

Nailogy is the best salon I have visited in Salmon Creek for its service, expertise, and friendliness. I had a nail and pedicure with a fantastic massage. Asia worked to undo the knots in my hands and feet, and I feel like a new person. One of the treats was a milk and honey manicure and a honey and milk pedicure while drinking a mimosa. The salon is beautiful and pristine, right down to the adorable receptionist. One of the keys to their service is kindness from the moment you walk into the door. I will be back. read more

I visited this salon for the second time, today. I had reservation for Thursday, but I had two broken nails that I wanted to get repaired. I called to see if I could reschedule my appointment for today and was told that I could. I specifically asked for the lady that assisted me on my first visit and was told she would not return until Thursday. No biggie, but I was very surprised when I saw her at the salon when I arrived. She actually helped the nail tech that completed my pedicure and asked why didn't I ask for her. I simply chuckled and told her what the receptionist said when I made the request. I'm a mid-30s, African American professional, who typically dresses in business causal dress. However, today I had on sweats, converse, and tennis shoes. Which by the side-eyes that I received from other patrons isn't the norm. Fast forward to the completion of my pedicure, I notice that a middle aged couple came in and the nail tech that was assisting me was pulled off from helping me and just left me sitting in my chair. When she return and prepared the water for that couple, I asked what about me. She said something hurriedly and set me down at the table and walked away. That was at 507p, I set at the table until 5:20, no one addressed me. I walked to the reception desk and was assured someone would be over in a minute. At 527p no one came over, and I decided to leave. Not one apology or discount offered for my inconvenience. Just a causal, she was requested. I've worked in Germantown for the last 6+ years as a General Manager of two of the prominent hotels in the city. I've experience the discrimination "dressed up" and "dressed down". And, today was no different. It was just assumed that I would just set there, until they found someone to complete my services. I'm so frustrated and sadden by today's experience. Been a client for several years. Received a set of dips for my nails like I do every time. They started lifting after a week. Went today spoke with owner. She agreed they were not thick enough and told me they would have to all be soaked off and new ones applied. I assumed at no charge. To my shock I was charged the $50.00 charge for a new set of dips. Very disappointed that the owner would treat a loyal customer this way. This was the first time I have ever had an issue. Always a loyal client and tipper. When I first came to this salon, I would have rated this place 10 out of 5 stars if I could! It is beautiful, clean, well staffed and they were extremely friendly. The salon manager went out of his way to introduce himself, check on me, check the work of his staff and ensure I was satisfied with my service. He also asked that I recommend them to my friends which I did! Incessantly!! They have so many options, great check in process and probably 20 nail technicians at any given time. This was A+++ and I thought I found my holy grail salon.. But service has started lacking. The past 3 visits I've had great dip manicures but my pedicures have been less than ideal. Every single time the pedicures have been messed up despite waiting for 45+ minutes after. I don't think they're top coat is quality fast drying? Perhaps that is it? I hate posting photos of my feet, but please reference the photos and judge for yourself. The first time the manager noticed that it was bad, so he took over and did it himself. The 2nd time, he had a technician fix it. It just wouldn't dry, and I ended up just leaving with it messed up (and wore it messed up for 2 weeks bc due to my busy schedule.. i simply do not have the time to sit down and fix it).. The 3rd time, the nail technician (who was wonderful) insisted that the nail color i picked was the wrong shade (light blueish white). She ended up recommending a darker blue, which I did not pay attention to/notice how dark it was due to the lighting.. so as I was leaving, I noticed that my nails were this atrocious blue color, and I had events to attend and could not have actual blue nails on my feet. I shared that the nail color was not what I wanted and both the manager and the front desk guy were really annoyed.. they said they would fix it.. when I came back, the front desk guy barely acknowledged me and treated me like I was a criminal trying to steal from them. They fixed my nails, and charged me full price (25 dollars) for the polish change. I shared that I was surprised that I would pay 50 dollars (+ $12 in tips) for a simple polish change and the front desk guy rolled his eyes and said he would call the manager. The manager came and was totally night and day compared to how he used to be, and asked what I expected? Then offered a 10 percent discount.. I thought it was insane that regardless of the discount, I still paid 55 (including tip) for a simple polish change. I even waited 1.5 hours after the polish change to ensure the polish didn't mess up, and it STILL messed up the next day! (See picture). I was extremely disappointed.. again I do not have the time to sit in a salon for hours to get my nails changed and for a premium price compared to the rest of the salons in the city. (About 25% higher)... I mean.. how many salons charge 25 dollars for a simple color change for toes? I plan to give the salon maybe one more chance, as i really want to like this salon. I have loved every single one of my nail techs and they've been lovely. I really think they have a lot of potential, I'm just hoping that 1. They fix their pedicure process/polish and 2. Maybe the manager/front desk guy just had a bad day. There was no reason to treat me like a criminal, because my toes were messed up despite taking all precautions. I have no reason to want my nail color to be done twice in one day.. it wasn't like I was trying to get a freebie or extra service. I just wanted a decent salon experience and result.. I'm giving this place 3 stars: 5/6 stars for my initial experiences, the friendly nail techs, the selection of nail colors and drinks, the gorgeous decorations, the cleanliness, the availability of staff... Very sad experience after being a regular customer, my regular nail tech always did a great job, but the last two visits she wasn't in and my own nails started popping off within a week. I realize now the last 2 people likely weren't trained to do tap gel. After speaking to the manager about my situation for over 15 minutes answering her questions, she offered me a 15% discount on my next full set. I told her no way I would come back. I'm sitting here right now in pain as 3 of my natural nails have already popped off in a week of my last service with naulology, the rest are barely hanging on and it is still less than 2 weeks since my nails were done. I have never paid for such shoddy work. My feet and toes are a mess. Poorly painted with some toes half covered but plenty on my skin. It's red polish so is obvious. I get biweekly manicures and pedicures to keep things maintained. Pre-Covid, I visited salons across the country while traveling for work. I've never seen this work handled so poorly. The tech didn't even get all the nail polish off I was wearing. For my fingers, I had to finish removing it from 4 out of ten fingers. The nails were jagged and the nail that was filed was just pushed under my nail leaving a jagged, uneven mess with fibers from the cotton used stuck to my nails. They polished them with the cotton stuck to the jagged nail pieces. My second hand wasn't going to get a second coat of color until I pointed it out. I bring my own color, so it's not to be cheap to save their polish. It was lazy. My original tech switched me to someone else for most of my manicure because the other tech didn't know how to do overlays on the client sitting next to me. They just switched seats without concern for whether anyone cared. For transparency, I complained AFTER I paid. I hate paying for bad service, but I also pay for the service. I wasn't there to get anything for free. I just wanted my nails done properly. I also provided bare minimum tip for bad service of 20%. Usually, I provide much higher tips, but I couldn't justify it here. I will now have to go to another salon to get everything redone. Having recently moved to the neighborhood, I thought this might be a salon close to home I could use. read more

I will not be returning to nailology. The salon itself is beautiful! I took my best friend and her 5 year old for their Christmas presents. Absolutely horrible experience. I have never felt like I was an inconvenience at a nail salon before. Tom was very rude. We asked multiple times for them to paint a snowflake on a couple nails (frozen themed because that's her favorite) and the original nailologist left and never returned knowing we still needed snowflakes. We tried to pivot and ask our nailologist if they could paint TWO SNOWFLAKES, they said yes but then ignored it when our nails were complete. Not to mention that my best friend and myself did not get any form of actual manicure. I paid $300 for all these services and it was a joke of an experience. I have been to NailOlogy four times now with the intent of a giving them a fair shot. Times up. If you are a black woman, then the female workers will have a problem with you. So much so that I had to start using the male technicians and they are good. The female workers want to know where you work and where you live. I don't hear them asking their white customers these questions. They are seemingly able to just do their jobs and not be concerned about why a black woman is at the nail salon in the middle of the day. The nail in the coffin happened with the tech that calls herself Liz: she talks way too much, and her husband confirmed this. She started working on her client's feet sitting next to us, she turned to me and said "I like your purse a lot." Her husband then said, "she likes everything." She then turned and said loudly "oh no, I just like the cheap stuff." Both her client and I could not believe that she had just freely hurled an insult, as if the Nail Salon belonged to her, and as if she signs her own check. This girl is immature and talks way too much, and it just cost this nail salon at least four clients. Management needs to have a sit down talk with all of the female technicians to let them know that money is green and the only thing they need to be worried about is being friendly and courteous to all of Nailology's customers. read more

Do not go here for apres/ gel extension. I've gotten this service at another nail salon in the past and my nails would last a month with no lifting. I came here and within the first week one of my nails popped off. That should have been a sign that these nails were not done correctly because at the two week mark several of my nails came off. If you do dip, this is not the place to go. I have had multiple dips from Nailology crack and chip within a week. The last one was the worst - the edges of six nails were cracked within five days, and one nail had completely lifted by day 10. I am not hard on my nails and do not experience this when I use other salons. The only reason I kept going back was convenience, but now I'm realizing how inconvenient (and expensive) it is to have to get my nails fixed or redone prematurely. I will not return. read more

My entire experience was lovely. I arrived and was greeted by the friendly front staff. It's been a few years since my nails were done and all the options were explained to me. I given a menu for beverage options. The pedicure was the most gentle I have received. The gentleman spent extra time picking out the perfect color. Trini did an amazing job on my apres nails. i have been here twice . both times the 2 people i saw were incredibly rushed the entire time (1st time i was one of maybe 3 customers in there) . i get it if you have other customers coming in , but that doesnt mean you give your current customer bad work . everyone at the front desk are absolute sweethearts . this particular visit is my decision maker to never come back . i usually go to my regular nail girl for designs/appressed nails . when i want just a solid coat on my regular nails , i usually will go somewhere a tad cheaper (i also dont want to fill one of her apt. slots with a plain coat as she specializes in designs and can make much more $ on those). ive had outstanding $200+ work , and i have had $20 work . what i received today was the worst polish i have EVER received , and to top it off it was $40 .. for the work that was done i could have done it myself . but thats not the point , im happy to come and support individuals (and pay for good quality) that are in this industry , and support them , instead of do so myself . anyways , this is what a funny bunny gel looks like when it's incredibly rushed . not to mention she tried to argue that i ruined one of my nails when it was her nail that messed it up because she was watching her co-worker . the pictures are my right hand , and the way she had my hand angled i didnt notice how horrible they were until i drove off (the horrible side in the photos faces outwards of my right hand, hard to see when she had my hand angled the entire time) . the lighting in there also made it look not so bad . im not one to go back in and complain and do all that , i just cant . but id rather deal with these horrible nails and let YALL know how bad the quality is . its a beautiful establishment , and the prices people pay , you truly deserve much better quality . especially on something as simple as a plain gel polish . read more

I am so unsatisfied with my nail quality and my experience. Especially for the price! They charged me for a dip soak off ($10 DOLLARS) when on their website said it's no charge with a replacement service. They charged another ($10 DOLLARS) to remove the gel from my toes. That's ($20 DOLLARS) alone on removal. I got acrylic overlay on my natural nails ($40 DOLLARS) and gel on top of that ($20 DOLLARS ) with got a deluxe cause they were having a special ($40 DOLLARS) with gel on top of that ($20 DOLLARS). My daughter got a kids pedicure ($25 DOLLARS) with a nail design ($5 DOLLARS) keep in mind the design fell off when we got home cause they were stickers! For a whooping total of (170 DOLLARS!!!! Horrible, 1st time going was amazing my nails were almond shaped gel with a ruby red color. But, for my second set I asked for a refill for almond shaped French tips; absolutely ruined them. The filing is absolutely horrible, it took 2 hours to finally finish just the GEL and finally for the French tip it took 3 nail technicians to even try to do one French tip. At this point I just told them to leave it as is and put the top coat on so I could pay. I was also overcharged on my receipt for the wrong service, overall horrible experience worst nail salon I've ever been to. I don't get my nails done often but I decided for prom I would splurge. I saw the prices weren't bad especially for acrylics. My mail tech didn't speak to me at all which I mean it isn't a requirement but it does make the experience better. When I got done the nails I expected to be 35-55 dollars were 70!!! Within two hours of leaving the salon my nails were already chipping and looking awful. I called and had to make time to get them fixed. They did them again the same day and within 10 minutes they were chipping again. I called again and they promised a partial refund and to redo them. I went back the next day. At this point I have over 4 hours invested and have Ben up there twice. The third time I was up there they would not let me speak to a manger to confirm what was promised and they go ahead and do them for the third time. When they are done I had 6 hours invested in getting my nails done over 3 trips including drive time and when I asked for my refund they tell me it was a misunderstanding and I was not promised a refund. They said since they redid them already they couldn't give me a refund and since nothing was wrong with the acrylic they wouldn't take them off and give me a full refund. Here we are 5 days later and they are chipping AGAIN. I'm not going back to get them redone but I don't recommend going here unless you want to spend 6 hours,3 days, and 70 dollars on acrylics that last 4 days. They have not even grown out in the slightest. They should not be chipped this early. Just get press ons. read more
