Made appointment for mani pedi..very thorough and allow 2 hours I was very happy with results despite a small cut on my thumb caused by a sponge. Maury suggested an acrylic repair for a split nail. I always had this problem but no one else had ever suggested it in several years. The partial nail repair was $3. Overall, pricing is competitive The place is old and worn looking and could do with a cosmetic renovation but then prices would increase. Other customers appeared local unlike the tourist heavy places. Make an appointment for best treatment. Let me start off by saying in friendliness and family atmosphere this place gets 5 stars, but sadly the work is not the same. I went in with my 2 daughters and were greeted right away, we had 1 person in front of us. I was getting a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax, my daughters were getting 1 mani and 1 acrylic set. We waited 30 minutes before anyone began to work on us. Me: eyebrow wax took about 20 minutes. Although I loved her attention to detail and she made sure they came out perfect, the time to do them was entirely too long. Mani/pedi: I waited for about 30 minutes for my feet to soak and when they began the tools did not appear sanitized, it looked like they were sitting in the same solution from the woman before, no new utensils were brought. And there was no gentle manner on my feet or mani. To speed up my review, at the end of both mani/pedi my nails didn't match my toes, which was disappointing when I picked a color that was a duo. When I told her she laughed and said you could barely tell, instead of offering to redo it right. But at this point, we were there for 4 HOURS! So I was ready to leave! My daughters acrylics came out lumpy and not filed well, her fingers were cut by the skin line, she said the utensils were not clean and they put yellow acrylic nails on her. My 13 year old was charged at 30 dollars and she complained of the same un-gentile manner on her little hands. read more

Nice and friendly owner/staff, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for unprofessionalism. First off, I called ahead and was told there was no wait for pedicure, and said I'd be right there. Sure enough, got there less than 5 minutes later only to be told that now I had to wait 20 minutes. Fast forward 45 minutes of waiting, I finally was told to sit in the pedicure chair. The first thing I witnessed was that the pedicurist was wearing latex gloves from the previous girl and that she hadn't changed the gloves to new ones for me. She also had hair dye in her hair for some time, and promptly told me that after 45 minutes of waiting she would need to go wash her hair dye out in 10 minutes. I sighed. I had been waiting almost an hour to start, and was getting frustrated. She then grabbed the garbage pail (which looked like it had throw up in it. Now, I'd like to assume it was coffee or lunch splatter), but she grabbed her hand in the garbage lid to move it, with the same gloves that then touched my feet, after touching the previous girl's feet sing she hadn't changed them. While she was cutting my cuticles, instead of wiping the skin on the towel, she...get this....wiped the tool on the top of my foot!!!! So the dirty dead skin she just cut off she literally rubbed off onto the top of my own foot. Gross!! After cutting, filing and removing my cuticles, she grabbed the garbage by the lid (which had food/liquid on it) and moved it again, and then she put a bunch of moisturizer in her hand (on the same latex gloves) and massages my legs. Now, usually I love this part. But I was grossed out by the thought of how many things those gloves have touched before being rubbed on to my legs and feet. After the washing, she used toilet paper (yes, toilet paper!!!) as my toe dividers. Which of course, moments after walking out later, starting deteriorating right under my feet and I had to remove them immediately. As I said, I almost feel badly writing this review because they were really nice. But as I also said, this doesn't make up for unprofessionalism!!! I wanted to walked out 45 min into my wait, but decided I was already committed and needed to see this through. But honestly, I was grossed out the whole time. Nice people, but would not go back again at all!! ***tips are CASH ONLY. And if you don't have cash (like I didn't, whoops) they charge you an extra $1 as a fee for having to charge it to the card. read more

I got there ten minutes before my appointment and still waiting almost an hour before we started. My friend and I came for mani pedis and it took 3 and a half hours. She cut my finger and then continued to harshly file right on top of it. All of the tools used were not sanitized and looked old and dirty. The staff were nice but being there was irritating and I wish I had just left to begin with. Me and my friends nails were rushed, all filed at different shapes and painted sloppily. I took them off immediately after.. oh and they took out a roll of toilet paper to put in between my toes during the pedicure. Made an appointment for this morning, the business confirmed not once but twice. I drove 25 minutes and arrived at ten, which is when my appointment was for. Doors are locked. I wait a few minutes, try again, doors still locked. I call twice, no answer. It has been 20 minutes at this point so I leave. Receive a call back saying no call forwarding and she was stuck in traffic. Asked if I wanted to reschedule did not offer any type of discount to apologize for the hour wasted. Very unprofessional. I tried this salon for my first time the other day, and I wasn't "wowed" however I did have a good experience. The service was good, but slightly rough for me. I rated only 3 stars due to lack of ambience, when I go for my nails I prefer a nicer and relaxing environment. The prices are a little lower than average for those on a budget! Very welcoming. Got me right in as a walk-in. Maury did my nails and she is a perfectionist. She was quick but detailed and precise in her work. Lupe did my toes and she is a ball of energy. Really terrible. Worst manicure I've ever gotten, they have high prices yet can't even bother to buy proper equipment. Their UV apparatus for shellac was horrible and old, and my shellac (gel) manicure was chipping in a day. The salon is dirty, and it took 2.5 hours for a standard pedicure and shellac manicure. Noelia took great care of my feet, doing a thorough job trimming, buffing, scrubbing and the painted to perfection. I have been a regular gel shellac customer for almost a year now. This is definitely not your Posh Miami salon, and I couldn't be happier. After having tried many trendy salons for the past 6 years, both in Broward and Dade, (and frequently walking out disappointed), I finally found THE one. If you're picky like myself, then Maury is the ideal perfectionist for you! Only downfall is, make sure you're in no rush and give yourself plenty of time... it may take a tad longer than you're used to. (This is not your typical Asian Nail Mill) Nonetheless, still deserves a 5 Star rating. Lupe, the owner, is just a sweetheart and also wonderful, very personable and always makes you feel comfortable. I always call last minute, and she manages to accommodate me.
