Just moved here from Los Angeles, so it's my first time at a nail salon in GA. I honestly rarely give negative reviews, but my experience at Chris was inconsistent. Overall the place looks nice, and I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a mimosa. My pedicure went great, I think her name was Cindy. Great attention to detail, and gives an amazing foot massage. I did think it was really weird that they asked for my credit card halfway through the service. I've only ever either paid up front and then cash tipped at the end or just paid everyone at the end. So it was a bit jarring to get the bill during my pedicure. Like I said, the pedicure was great, BUT the woman who did my nails was rude, haphazard, and did a worse job than my 12 year old niece could have done for free. She treated me like she didn't want me there even though I had just spent $100+ and tipped my pedicurist $20. So... maybe I'll go back, maybe I won't. I absolutely don't want to see this woman there if I do though. I could have just done the polish myself. So anyway, it's hit or miss. Be really clear about what services you want, and if someone tries to rush you through the polish they're probably going to do a bad job so request someone else. This was the worst experience my girlfriend had, ever. She wanted her toe nails painted the same color as her finger nails and when she brought it up to the lady she said to her "white girls so picky." This is beyond rude and instead of taking off the wrong color she just painted over it and is now chipping 20 mins later. All of this for 80$ was insanity. Went to another nail salon in Valdosta (last month) that didn't seem that clean, and had a less than satisfactory pedicure. But here the inside is beautiful, clean, the staff is super friendly! My nails were rushed and look so bad there are spots where my tech just didn't put top coat in the middle of my nails and she insisted on doing gems for my design instead of paint and then didn't have the right gems. Instead of stars and moons I got starfish and half circles. The gems make the whole nail look thick and tacky plus they're sharp so I keep scratching myself. This salon is great. Walked in with my friend and was seated immediately even though they looked crowded. The place has a very strong nail salon-y smell to it but you get used to it. The tools are very clean and the man who did my nails thoroughly cleansed the acrylic brush before using it on my nails. He was very friendly and kept a good conversation going. This salon is interesting, usually the nail techs are very chatty with their co-workers and take forever to finish doing the nails but this salon was very quiet and calm. They had a TV going on a positive show for all ages so that you could watch and not get bored during the very short time it takes them to do a full set. The prices are great. Cheap for good nails. I have NEVER had a fill in take under 30 minutes. They were personable. They were professional. My nails are perfect. I am so excited to find a new salon in town. I came in on Saturday for a full set and chrome nail color. Tracey did my nails. Today is Monday. The polish is chipping and rubbing off. I'd asked during my appt for her to cut them down and she kept saying g the length was fine. So I come in today to get the polish fixed and there is also a nail that has a dent in it from when tried to get a hair out of the acrylic. I get her an was told she would fix it. She is at Lowe's. 1.5 hours later she is not here and everyone here refuses to fix my nails. I'm being told she will be here in 4min and will fix it. My happy was supposed to have been with Chris on Saturday! When I showed up he sent me to have lunch because they were behind. I get back and am pushed off on this Tracey girl who did a shitty job and now no one will fix it! Find a better nail salon. Very disappointing. Visited Nails by Chris to get acrylics done for my moms upcoming birthday cruise. I was excited and looking forward to getting bright, square acrylics, nothing fancy. I walked out with cockeyed, poorly painted nails. Before I could even ask for what I wanted, which was square and medium length the nail tech began cutting and their was no turning around. The application of the paint was a MESS. Cruise is in a few days and I'm a full time student so I have no time to get them fixed. Tried calling and all numbers were disconnected as well. Can I just say how much I love Nails by Chris?! Back in January, my Mum and I heard about Nails by Chris from my Aunt. We were in town for a funeral and we needed some time away. Worst nail salon I have been to! Recently moved to the area from California and I am disgusted with the cleanliness of this place. It is so dirty inside. The nail stations were sticky. Everything is very outdated. The pedicure chairs are crammed together. My pedicure massage was good but the guy spent very little time actually working on my toes. The manicurist did not say one word to me. I left with dried skin still around my nails and nail polish all over my fingers. I was disgusted to see them waxing people in the main part of the salon and not taking them back to a private room. They really need to clean the place up. read more

I usually go to the other location to get my nails done but I was in a time crunch and ran by this location around 10am. I broke a nail on vacation and walked right in and someone worked on my nail immediately. They didnt have the same color as the other store so he repainted all of them so they would match. He also didnt charge me anything! Service is always great, thats why I will keep coming back! read more

I got a brow wax sitting in a little rolling chair w/ my head leaned back & no lighting overhead to see what she was doing....I had to walk outside w/ the mirror to look @ my when she was done b/c there was no lighting.....It was the fastest wax I've ever gotten...she didnt spend more than 5 mins to do my brows & lip.
