It's coming off, chipping etc. never, ever happened elsewhere or on other visits. I believe it was done purposely bc I asked her to cut them a bit shorter. Should it be a mistake to not return? Yes. I have been living in Friendswood for 25 years. I've gone to this salon on many occasions. It's all good until you want them to do something in a certain way! Never again will I spend $130 plus a month. Word of advice to the owner. Ask your workers to do as they were asked and to not be upset. I'll start this by saying if you EVER go here, plan to tip in cash, because apparently they don't appreciate card tips. All I wanted was a trim and repaint on my toenails. My usual place was BUSY. I was heading to Sally's Beauty to get some polish to do it myself, saw this place, and thought "why not try it out?" They said it would be $10 for what I wanted, and I was willing to pay that. I got the chair and asked if I can leave a tip on my card. The lady said yes. This place is not fancy compared to my usual place, but every place is different so I'm keeping an open mind. They seem to have "regulars" so they're obviously doing something right. So, I go to pay and when I pull out my wallet, the guy says "You have cash tip?" I said "I need the tip to go on my card." He says "you can tip her in cash." Like, yes sir, I have cash in my wallet. I know you saw it when I pulled my card out, but I pay for things like this on my card to keep track of my spending. My cash is not for unnecessary things like pedicures. I told him I needed change because all I had was a $10 bill. He gave me a $5 back which was what I asked for, but I'm very annoyed because I specifically wanted to leave a tip with my card, and he wasn't having that.

My pedicure was alright, but got my toes painted and they missed spots and left paint on my cuticles. I did come in an hour before close, but people got there after me and got taken care of without their nail techs rushing. Over all, felt and looked rushed, and was an unprofessional experience. My partner got only a pedicure and we finished at the same time, just to put things into perspective. Same technician did both my mani and pedi. My partner's technician was moving fast but managed to do a good job.

They work 6 days a week and are always consistent. They take the time to get to know their customers and they have a huge number of regulars. I don't even have to tell Tommy how I want my nails done. He already knows, and when I went through a phase where I wanted something different every time, Yen put her best creative foot forward and never let me down. The ladies that do the pedicures are all great and friendly. We have conversations about their families and ours. We discuss our vacations and plans. It's an open area with a spa-like atmosphere. There is a separate room for waxing and they have contemporary music playing, while the TVs show whatever talk show/news is currently on with subtitles so you know what's going on. I have zero intentions of going somewhere else for my manicures and pedicures. When you have a good place, you don't leave.

I didn't have time to get my nails done again, so I popped in for a removal. The tech burned my nail and I reacted, she did not apologize or seem to care. When I sat down, she insulted me saying my nails grew out so long. She improperly removed the acrylic set and even tried ripping them off with an extra acrylic nail. She left artificial nail on all of my nails, I realized this when my nails have been in pain. As seen in the photo, my real nail beneath the artificial residue. I have chipped a piece off of the artificial left on top of my real nail, seen in photo 4 in my palm. This is an outrageous way to treat a paying customer, let alone anyone. I am not going to the salon to rectify this so they can cause more damage. I have previously voiced my concern at a separate visit, about the lack of professionalism and aggressive practice done by some of the techs here. It does not seem to me like this salon truly cares about all of their customers and that is disappointing because I had referred family to this salon but will be warning them to save their money and health of their nails.
