I rarely ever leave negative reviews but I just had to this time. I was recommended this Salon by a friend so I took a chance and boy did I regret it. I made an appointment with Steph who was very sweet. Everything about the service was great. The art came out how I wanted and everything. The issue occurred not even 2 days after I left and multiple (atleast 4) nails popped off. This is not okay considering I paid 100+ dollars for apres nails that are supposed to last ATLEAST 2 weeks. I've done apres at home and have gotten them to last about a week and a half and could've just done that instead and saved money. I feel like I flushed money down the toilet. read more

They offer a wide load of services and someone is always there to assist. Loved how my nails came out. Stephanie was very thorough and kind. I did the Apres gel manicure. It's pricey ($70) but worth it for me personally (I bite my nails every now and again, so I had nasty stubby nails). The color is OPI Malaga Wine. Wanted to show difference in color in light and indoors with the pics I posted. It's not a fancy salon, and the music inside is a bit noisy, but if you want quality I think the end product was flawless. read more

Had a great experience at Nails by Nivea. First time doing a dry mani / pedi. FYI they only work with gel products. Ismenia did my gel pedi and she was so friendly, thorough & did a super even coat job. Iris did my gel x mani which I had never done before & she was so patient with me. Personally, I think the gel x came out a little thick & I don't know if I'd continue to do this service in the future (I have seen thinner gel x's elsewhere) but, design-wise, she did exactly what I asked her to do from the reference picture. They both really took their time to make sure I was satisfied. Definitely on the pricier side & be aware that if you come in with dip, they will charge a removal fee. I'd def come back since they are super talented in the current trendy nail designs, but I think I'd return just for regular gel. read more

Nails by Nivea is the BEST in Miami, and possibly the world. This salon has a group of super talented ladies.. Seriously, I could recommend them all day. My usual nail artist is Becky, but I have also had my nails worked on by Laura, Cristy, and Iris. I have never been disappointed. My nails always last weeks, and the design and shape are always flawless. They do cost more than some salons but it's for a good reason. You get what you pay for! I have been to other salons because I usually only have Sundays off, and I have been disappointed at myself for cheating on Nails by Nivea every time It's apparent that they all truly love their craft. All the techs are professional and the location is clean. My mani's last over 3 weeks and my pedis easily 6 weeks. If I ever had a problem with a nail they fixed it. They have so many options to customize your nails and even offer the best hand painted designs. They do their best to keep to appointment times so there's no extra waiting around when you're the next client. 5 years ago I was on the hunt for a new salon. After being left disappointed time & time again, a friend of mine recommended Nails by Nivea. 5 years later, I am still going to them! My nail tech is Iris and not only is she incredibly talented, but I never leave that salon in a bad mood. She has a great personality and will make you laugh the whole time. When Iris is booked, I do my nails with Steph who is also amazing at her craft and so sweet! I typically do polygel or gel-x depending if I need a full set or a refill. They're always patient when I change my mind 100 times before deciding on a design and will even give suggestions sometimes. The salon is always very clean and has fun music. My manicures last me about 4 weeks which is a huge deal for me. They are always capable of doing the designs you bring in and take their time so that your nails come out to your liking. Definitely be sure to make an appointment a bit in advanced otherwise they will be booked. Would always recommend :) read more

I came across this nail salon on IG and realized a blogger I follow does her nails here. I had had a bad experience at a nail salon that I had been going to for years. I had decided to no longer give my money to this business.... When I came to this new salon I was greeted nicely by the owner who runs the reception area. She was very kind and respectfully explained to me their services, policies and even tried to help me match my color to my nail inspo. She and I had a difficult time trying to match and the nail tech that was going to provide my service came to help. She was able to match the color pretty well. But I felt a little uncomfortable with her. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. I made small talk and she opened up. As I shared with her my concerns and what had happened to me at the previous salon I went to, the nail tech sitting besides her was extremely loud, obnoxious and butted into my conversation. She responded to me with rude responses. Cancelling my concerns and fears with going somewhere new. I knew it wasn't just me thinking this in my head because I even caught my nail tech roll her eyes and cringe every time that other nail tech spoke to me and just kept speaking to me rude. I was taken back that an employee would speak to a new client this way. And unfortunately that was my first big impression of this business. Another comment I can add is that although my tech tried very hard to make my nails look good, they were not to my liking. They seemed fine at first. But when I got home and started to really look at the details I wanted to cry. They looked sooooooooo THICK! and way too square. I was super adamant about the shape. But I felt like I couldn't really tell her to fix this or that because I felt intimidated and I already felt shut off by that other nail tech. Lastly, I felt like the nail tech did not explain to me that legit every little thing they did was like a minimum $5 up charge. I paid $98 for my services. The fact that I wasted this money literally hurt my soul. The only thing I sort of liked was my toes. And even that was still messed up. But my nails look like chiclets :'( oh, and because it's the apres nail extensions it has like clumps of gel build up underneath. It so uncomfortable and my nails hurt. They told me that if anything happened 3 days after the service I can fix it BUT I don't want to return. I actually made an appointment somewhere else to fix them. read more

I will give them 2 stars because their nail artwork is beautiful. However, the quality of their manicures is subpar. My gel manicure popped off cleanly during my sisters wedding 4 days after the manicure. All 10 nails popped off at the same time. They do this dry manicure procedure there saying it's cleaner and lasts longer. I've had many gel manicures in my life and never had this problem before. When I texted to notify them, well, let the screen captures speak for themselves. Additionally, the dry procedure includes a lot of grinding and sanding down which left arches on each of my nails. Very disappointed at the attitude from the main lady sitting as the first nail tech chair in the entrance. She was Very rude and unprofessional! I picked a color they didn't have, then I picked another they didn't have, then they picked one for me that had some pink in it, but after it was all finished my nails had this look I didn't like, the earth green showed more than the pink color. So I wanted to pick a different color for my feet since they were not done yet, and I was willing to pay for the extra charge for a change of color for my hands but, When I got up to look for the colors by the entrance wall, it was only to be intimidated by I guess the manager of the place, asking me what was wrong and I explained, well she was very rude Telling me if I was going to change the color, they were going to charge me for everything again like double manicure and I said but it's just the color removal and application of a different one, I can pay for that but not for everything twice, And she said sorry but that's how it would be! So then I said forget it! I ll just pick a different color for my feet and she said Hurry up picking because there are other clients coming next!! Mind you I had just started looking at the choices not even 30 seconds into it and she said that to me... Wowwww!!! Unbelievable rude!!!! She treats it like a factory!!!!!! This was my third time going, I had asked to be scheduled with the same techs, Only to be given a new girl for my feet that by the way was very very nice girl! Bottom line is since day one I noticed the rudeness of the manager, and the loudness and their unprofessional ways! They speak amongs them selfs in Portuguese in front of clients which is rude, you make an appointment with a specific nail tech & they schedule you with whomever they want in this case a new person without experience yet, and then they make you think you didn't do it with the original person you intended to schedule the appointment with. In addition to all that; My appointment was at 10:00 am for hands and feet and I left at 1:15 pm without any extra change of color or anything that would have delayed it. I was actually rushed to pick a color both times. Also the place is full of residue from the techs taking off the products all dusty and I did not see their nail tools being sanitize client after client. Also the waterless pedicure sucks !!!! And the callous around the feet are just soften not removed so your feet are cardboard in the end because only soft when moisturized & I can definitely do that at home for free! No, I don't recommend this place after my experience there . Being a new customer you would think they would try to accommodate me work with me etc but no! Not at all ! I will gladly explore cleaner and nicer places with nicer people to spend my time & money with. Thank God we can pick and chose! Btw this is my first review ever! read more

Horrible place! I did my nails (GEL MANICURE) here and they didn't even last me 3 days. I contact them to let them know the nail was not even chipped, it came right off. When they fixed it, they wanted to charge me to fix it! It hasn't even been a week. After I got that one finger fixed, 1 day later, another one came right off. No chip. Completely came off. Horrible. Let me start off by saying - sometimes not all customers fit all businesses. That being said, Rebecca Barbosa is unpleasant - a bully - unprofessional -nasty - condescending - ill-mannered - disrespectful - discourteous - insolent - AND I could go on. This was my FIRST time visiting this business and it was a referral by someone I think very highly of. The co-owner, Nivea Barbosa, was very pleasant, courteous, and welcomed me, offered me some brownies. She was appreciative I was 30 minutes early. She escorted me to a young girl to remove my gel nails. She did so via an electrical nail file. She was clean and precise. However, she was unable to file my nails into the shape that I desired. This is not a bad thing and she tried but I had asked for a shortened styled rounded- square shape. She left the edges very sharp and seems not yet experienced at this point in her career- which is understandable. She went to Nivea and Nivea told me I would be with Becky. This still is not a bad thing. Sometimes, not all customers fit all nail techs. I was still optimistic and pleasant. I was not disappointed at all. I sat in Rebecca's chair. She was fast - sloppy - and didn't soak my nails and my cuticles were stiff. I described how I would prefer my shape. She was - almost - condescending, bully-like, as I asked for her to listen to my requests. This nail salon is best suited for nail art and longer gel nails. Wanting a simple French style and somewhat medium to short nail length does seem an unusual request here - but of course I am certain the salon can provide this service. Still sitting in her chair, she was rough with my hands and sloppy. She CUT me in 3 different places at where the skin meets the nail, most notably on my right thumb and it had a spot of blood. Their tools are not sterilized. Her table is dirty and messy and she seems unclean and her table is not a sterile surface. She proceeded to continue ripping at my cuticles. I think her nippers we not sharp, so she had to rip off the cuticle. With all the file dust, my nails were not soaked and I was not allowed to wash my hands. This makes for a messy application and my thoughts about that are?- would the gel not last? My nails were also not wiped with alcohol to finally clean the nail, to avoid oil being left on the nails. When I gently pointed out how she cut me, she began to tell me it was my fault because my cuticles were dry and I don't apply enough lotion or moisturizer. I apply a cuticle moisturizer or nail salve, almost daily and use lotion daily. Her mannerism was RUDE - NASTY - BULLYING - UNPROFESSIONAL. She continued to blame me for the condition of my nails and I went for a simple French gel manicure. I have been complimented on how I take care of my nails, consistently. Was this necessary - to blame the new customer? Like really? So, with understanding not all people fit all businesses, I asked her to remove the first bottom coat on one hand, that she had applied. I felt this wasn't a right fit for me and was content to let it be that. However, I wasn't into being bullied and spoken to unpleasantly. I was a paying customer and she is by no means a thorough nail tech and lacks professionalism and respect for her customers. I said nothing more. I proceeded to get up out of her chair - she proceeded to say I was the one that came in with an attitude. THIS IS A YOUNG WOMEN WHO HAS NO MANNERS - GHETTO!. She is used to a younger customer base- is my thought. She is NOT engaging and has no interest in the customer. I asked to speak to Nivea outside, as she was still screaming at me - from across the room - I was the one that came in with an attitude. Outside, I explained to Nivea, I was hoping to be a new customer because I respected greatly the woman that referred me. I recounted what had transpired with Rebecca. She echoed possibly it would not be a good fit. I was so disillusioned by Rebecca's ill manners that I literally was aghast. While I was speaking about the exchange, I actually began to tear up. I only went to try a new business establishment. To bully a customer to that level of dissatisfaction was completely unnecessary and beyond, well below low class. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, only when the business has been extra excellent, so that they may receive new business. For me to go to this length to report on a visit to this nail salon-? One could surmise that my experience was a NIGHTMARE. I am certain not all nail techs are this unprofessional, at this business. I can only recommend that you ask for another nail tech and do try if you think you are looking for some nail art. BUT AVOID REBECCA ALL TOGETHER! SHE IS A NIGHTMARE OF A PERSON. HER MILLENNIAL AGE MUST IMPART HER ATTITUDES. My review won't impact the business BUT IT NEEDED TO BE SAID!! I am not looking to hurt the business - SHE JUST NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT! read more
