125 dollars for basic mani/pedi with gel polish!!!! WAY OVER PRICED! They started my pedi in a massage chair and midway through moved me to a nail station and finished my pedicure using a stool for one foot and a box for the other. The nail tech crawled under the table to do my toes while we waited for the old polish on my hands to dissolve. They did not cut my cuticles even after asking them to do so. My manicure consisted of my hands soaking in plain cold water for 30 seconds and filing. Again, my cuticles were not cut. They finished with oil rubbed on my hands and a hot towel. I can only speak of my technician as I've never been there before, so maybe the others are better. Either way, the price is outrageous and would not recommend you paying 40 dollars more than what other places charge. read more

I don't see many positive reviews for any nail salons in the Dickson area so I thought I would leave one... nails by Tammy got me in on a walk-in appt for a pedicure and full set with gel polish, the pedicure was thorough and the full set was exactly what I asked for. Vivian did my nails and knew exactly the colors I wanted (based on the Pinterest photo I showed her). I held out going to any nail salon in the area after moving here 2.5yrs ago because the reviews are all so bad across the board. I hope this helps someone like me, looking to find a new place. I was kinda disappointed that I was way overcharged for my nails. I got my nails done for prom and it cost me $75. I understand that there is a charge for designs but I was not expecting it to be $45 extra for them. I got a clear base with basically a wavy French tip kind of look. On their website it said that a standard French tip full acrylic set would cost $30 so I expected this to be maybe $40 with the design. I was shocked to find out at the end of my appointment that I owed $75. I'm not sure why they ended up being so expensive and the design wasn't even super well done. Usually I wouldn't complain about this type of thing but I think this is a pretty huge markup and I had no warning before the nail tech started that these would be so expensive. read more

Made an appointment for a fill. Arrived early, as is my preference with any appointments. Waited almost a full hour after my appointment time before even being acknowledged. Then, had to ask how much longer and was not given an estimate. As I had already wasted such a long time, I gave them another ten minutes, before I was prepared to walk out. They finally decided it was my turn after taking several walk-ins before me. Needless to say, no tip today and I'll be looking for another nail salon. I mean, why make an appointment if I could have been waited on faster just by walking in? Additionally, you can tell where the fill in starts and the nails are actually crooked. This place is absolute garbage. I've gotten acrylics from different places and this place is the absolute worst. First, the people were very rude there. Then, I had gotten a manicure and pedicure. My pedicure chipped after the second day and my feet were still rough and nothing was done to them. The worst thing though are my nails. They are extremely thin and flimsy. One broke the day after I got them done. I glued it back on (have had to do that multiple times now). It has been a week now and 4 have came off while I'm doing very simple tasks! today one of my nails broke and took my entire original nail with it and now it won't stop bleeding. I've been going to Tammy's for YEARS and I hate to say that I had an awful experience the other day. I came in and got a pedicure and don't get me wrong everyone was extremely friendly/nice as always, but the person who did my pedicure barely did anything. It doesn't even look like I got anything done besides a polish change. On top of that, I now have a really bad infection from where they tried to get out an ingrown toenail. Not at all satisfied! Sure, the full set looks nice, but every time they do my fill-in, you can see the old layer clear as day! Not to mention, they charge you whatever they feel like charging. I was visiting from Florida & my Mom is a regular. She gets her nails done by Tammy. Very friendly staff. Large selection of nail colors. I had shellac done by Kevin. He was quick & did a great job. I wanted a color to match my toes & he helped me pick the perfect color. We chatted & the nail tech next to us joined in on our conversation. Everyone was very friendly. The were quite busy. I am so disappointed in the pedicure I received from this place. I have been here before and had a great experience several times. The last two times I have gone have been horrible. They treated me as if I was burdening them with my business. I asked for a refund due to my nails not being fully done and there still being dry skin on both feet and was told that the pedicure is not going to remove anything..... Even though I must admit I did not actually get my nails "done" here I did get a acrylic nail removal. I am not from the area and was hesitant to go anywhere other than my usual go-to in VA (10 hours away). However Cassandra did a very professional job and took her time with my nail removal and despite the busy day I did not once feel a burden even though I was not spending the big bucks getting my nails "done". After my nails were taken care of I decided to get an eyebrow waxing done (it was only $8!!). The service was quick and I was more than happy with the end result. If you have a 3-4 hour window in your day by all means go to Tammy's. They start your nails then leave you sit there (sometimes 30 minutes or so) while they move to someone whom they had already started before you....but left them sit while they started you. Then they leave you to sit there halfway done while they finish THEM up. Then when they have paid up and left... They come back to you. With every passing minute that I sit there I get more and more furious at the waste of my time!! Do yourself a favor and don't get on this merry-go-round. Go to DICKSON NAIL SPA next to Camino Real. It's a totally different experience. Im so glad to have found a new place to get my nails done that doesn't affect my blood pressure!! As for the parking... I used to love Tammy's nails, it was my go to place for a full set of acrylics or gel. However, I'm not sure if the salon is under new management? Things have changed, and not for the better. The inside has a fresh new look which is why I gave the 2 stars, however the actual nails are terrible. I got a full not even a week ago and my nails literally popped off in the shower last night. POPPED OFF!! The time before this I had gotten gel on my regular nail and it began to crack. It also stung when they put me under the light. & I mean STUNG! Would not recommend anymore :( read more

The nail salon was an ok place. An older lady they called 'mama' did my peticure. She did a decent job on the peticure, but I paid for the foot massage also but she only rubbed my calfs for about 5 minutes each, no foot massage at all. Then another lady painted my toes. I've been to Nails by Tammy multiple times but have recently moved out of state and came back to visit and decided to go in for a pedicure. My pedicure was mediocre at best. The staff was decently friendly but the particular gentlemen who did mine was not at all. My "massage" was him scratching his disgustingly long finger nails (covered by gloves) up and down the front of my leg. Not once during the massage did he touch my actual foot. I told him multiple times that I would prefer it be done the other way or not at all and he just kept on with his gangly fingers until I wiggled my foot to get his attention and then he just stopped. The establishment was very clean though, so that's a huge thumbs up! I was with a friend and they did both of our pedis completely different even though we had the same thing so I found that a little odd also. August 23 was my first visit. It was "ladies"day out. Shop was quick, all staff pleasant. They greeted you as you entered. My daughters had pedicures I had pedicures & nails. All were done well, they were careful doing nails and massaging legs. Hot towels were wrapped around legs after massage. They have a variety of services and prices to fit your wants or needs. I have been there many times with my granddaughters and drove from Clarksville. There have been other times I was unable to join the girls but wanted to pay for their mani/pedis and was always able to call and give my credit card info for payment. Yesterday was a whole different story! The communication was extremely rude and they would not take # info to pay. Obviously are not interested in recurring business. No worries. She went to the Nail Bar and although I have never stepped foot into that business, they gladly accepted my credit card info and processed the payment and her nails looked great! read more
