I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure with Tracy and it was super wonderful! Tracy is sweet and artistic. She was able to recreate a design I requested just by looking at photo. I was pleasantly surprised by how long the gel lasted, it stayed on for about a month! The color did start to get a bit yellow but could be from using cleaning products. It's a great neighborhood nail salon. The staff are very friendly and experienced. Kim did my gel mani and pedi. She was thorough and detailed to ensure I was completely happy with the end result. It is a bit more expensive than the two other nail salons in the area, however if you want consistently good service and perfect nail every time then this is the place to go. Best gel manicure I've gotten in years!!!! 2 weeks later after traveling and going to the beach which usually always messes up my nails, and still no chips/breaks! They had food network on tvs on mute and chill music playing. the manicure stations have built in UV dryers for both hands which was something i've not seen before! Used to go to this nail salon all the time, as I live in great falls. Booked two appointments and got a text asking to put down a $62 deposit. I work an 8-5 so didn't have chance to quite get to it, then they called me and told me since I have "never been there" I have to put down deposit. Told them I have been there multiple times, but they said they change out booklet every 6 months. Then proceeded to tell me I have until 7:00pm to make the deposit, then I should "text" that I did it. So instead I left this review and they got no deposit. Cancelled a meeting to go to the appointment tomorrow morning so I was 100% going to show up, even went to ATM today to make sure to have cash .. but now instead ... I will not be going ! I will be going somewhere else in great falls, my local hometown. read more

I normally enjoy going to this nail shop but not today. I made the appointment the day before but it wasn't on their schedule. It worked out and they were able to see me right away, which was great. The person I was seen by was so involved on the ipad/schedule that I felt like I was intruding on her time. I don't think she smiled once and went on to help others and just left me there to dry. I had to ask the other employees around if I was able to leave. The manicure was fine (nothing special for $25) but the service from my nail tech was very disappointing. read more

This is by far the best nail salon in Northern VA. They keep it impeccably clean (even before the pandemic hit) and are even more meticulous now. Everyone who works there is friendly and they all greet me by name. My husband has started getting pedicures there and is likewise impressed with the service, care and cleanliness. I've never patronized a nail salon more than once or twice because I always feel like the techs don't understand what I'm asking for, I'm being rushed out as quickly as possible, and my nails don't look any better than what I could do at home on my own. I started going to Nails by the Falls in February and I've gone back every two weeks religiously. Here they take their time and make your nails look gorgeous. They emphasize quality over quantity. There will not be a speck of polish out of place or a cuticle cut roughly. I just get plain acrylics done and people constantly stop and ask where I got my gel nails done because they look that good. This is one of the better nail salons that I've been to. It was suggested to me by a friend, so I went to check it out. The place is clean, they really do bend over backwards to make sure your nails look their best before you walk out of the shop. The pedicure was awesome, and the manicure was done right too. How dare Preppy P say those horrible things about my precious Jennie!? I've been going to Jennie now for about 2.5 years now EVERY WEEK for a manicure and she's just about the sweetest, kindest, most humble person I know. She always takes me late, on the rare occasion that I run late on Saturday, and always has a pedicure chair open for me in case I decide I want a nice, relaxing rub down from one of the other ladies (which is like every week... I know, crazy!) Jennie is just about the epitome of true great customer service. Even tho she's crazy busy and everyone always turns to her for problems in the salon, she always manages to give each customer a little TLC every time. She's the best. She's on my speed dial, in case i need a midweek touchup. She and i always joke that i always get the "worst" of her cause i'm her last appointment on the last day of the week.. Yet she does a PERFECT job everytime! I will NEVER leave her! And she can never leave me, I told her so. ;-) I love going to NBTF, it's like my home away from home. I love all the ladies there, they're so kind and funny to talk to and hang out with. I've never been to a more warm and welcoming nail salon that is consistent and doesn't just care about taking your money.. They care about how your nails look! Preppy P is delusional. This salon is great. No matter how far away I have moved around the area over the 10+ years, I have been going to Jennie...EVERY THREE WEEKS. I wouldn't go anywhere else because her work and attention to detail are unmatched! i have been a customer since 2005. I like Jenny the best but every nail tech is fantastic. They are a sweet group of ladies but I have one suggestion...I wish they would speak to each other in English cause I would like to know what they are saying...since they are bi-lingual and I'm not..it would be nice. When I asked to have a larger bill split for tip, it was only broken into $5 increments leaving me the option of overtipping or looking really cheap by asking her to give me ones. I've had a few beautifully done acrylic nails with gel polish done here. When I called and asked if they did gel nails, they said yes so I booked. The nails were acrylic though, which was misleading. They do gel POLISH (or at least only the polish the last time I went) Later when I researched it I found that there is no powder gel. I have been going there for years and they read me the riot act for missing an appointment without calling (for an eye brow wax!). They are not the only salon in town and frankly I would suggest you go to a place that values you as a customer versus literally yelling at you on the phone saying they are not going to 'accept any appointments' for me moving forward.
